Why would anyone make a video that tells me exactly what I need to do step by step in 4 minutes with perfect video and audio straight to the point without 40 minutes of wasted time so strange And thank you very much anyone that sees this like the man’s video
This is the only e70 video on YT that shows you how to actually remove the cable end from the brake assembly. Everyone else seems to unscrewed/unlatch the cables from the module instead of replacing everything. Thank you!
Excellent video. Just replaced my parking brake module with all 3 cables. Especially helpful close out of cable connection at the caliper area. Thank you very much.
Hi! When you replaced you actuator did you have to adjust anything/ program it? I will be replacing my soon and I’m very curious if it’ll need adjustments or programming
oh thanks fella, i almost always take photos of assembled part's, but i forgot, so was completely confused about how the cable end connected to the handbrake lever inside the hub..YOUR ARE STAR FELLA, FINGERS CROSSED I DON'T EVER NEED TO REPLACE THE ACTUATOR, BUT IF I DO I KNOW WERE TO COME!!!
The reason people have problems with the after market ones is because they assume it’s good to simply fit up the way they removed and often forget to adjust rear hand brake to “ tight” again they just fit it back up and think there done…. Unfortunately not, once fitted new unit whether genuine or aftermarket you will need to re adjust rear handbrake again, I suggest 4 clicks back off of the “disc not moving” when trying to turn it by hand, Goodluck everyone
@Dominic6382 @zanforsh there's a little spinny wheel adjuster that tightens/loosens the drum part. you put on the rotor and tighten the spinner until the rotor won't spin, then back off 4 clicks (some other guy said 5-10 clicks) until it starts spinning again. it's on the opposite side of where the cable goes in, so like at the 9 o'clock position.
Greetings. Would you know which parking brake module aftermarket brand name you just replaced? Is it a URO-Parts actuator? FCP-Euro sells URO with lifetime warranty but if it's the same actuator you removed, I'll purchase the Genuine part. Thanks

I really appreciate that, I get tired of scrolling through long intros and sales pitches too

Thanks, your instruction for removing the actuator itself without unplugging the cables was very useful
you sir deserved a like and subscribe from me! thank you for making this video short and straight to the point
No problem! Happy it was helpful, let me know if anything else comes up and I’ll try to make a video
Those OE wheels are awesome. Thanks for sharing this

No programming was necessary, just clear codes.
@flyinglotus3511 I believe there is a programming for those but not sure if it’ll function correctly without going through that procedure

Did u program the new aftermarket one?
I don’t think you need to program this module!
Great video... Thank you for this.

I’m not 100% on that but I believe it was URO, it may have just been bad luck on this particular vehicle but oem would definitely be best
Yes, Rule #1 Pay Attention. 😎
Exactly!
Removing the handbrake cable from the hub is a mission, I dont know how he just pulled it off....
why did you do the video with new one and not old one, its so hard to try to get old one out the car no ome on here shows you at all
I was replacing a cheap aftermarket one that was causing issues that’s all, what is fighting you?
