I was at the same crossroad choosing between flair and picopresso. I went with pico and now that I'm using it, it blew me away with the shots it can pull, and ease of use. Its crazy portable and doesnt require extensive preheating, i take it with me to the beach, to work or random longer trip, I preheat my thermos, pour boiling water in it and it stays at acceptable temperature for around 5 hours. Americanos are excellent and its super delightful when you're on a walk, stop for 15mins and enjoy espresso/americano and you go on. I'm sure flair is capable to give more tasty shots, but for true protability, hands down pico wins in my book
@@mycoffeeshow111 not yet, I'm waiting for my handgrinder delivery. I have Eureka Specialita, but its dailed in to coffee that I'm using with Bianca and with Specialita its isnt easy to go back and forth between different settings , whenever I brew with pico, i grind at home and take it with me. But when I ll receive my handgrinder, I ll start experimenting with different styles of shots
@@mycoffeeshow111 I went with comandante, I know 1zpresso is more modern, but every review and comparisson highlights comandantes taste as superior, and since its my backup and travel grinder I dont mind longer grind times, and its just beautiful to me haha I saw your video about c40, you didnt really like it no?
@@audriusa7005 You will definitely enjoy C40. I like it very much, it is just take soo long to grind. If you use it daily soon you will have arms like bodybuilder 😛
Thanks a lot, very nice comparison. I have both and it's exactly as you mentioned in the video, flair pro2 make better shots definitely more body, but for the price and real meaning of portability picopresso is the best, i think if you're into espresso you should have them both, flair is ofcourse portable but in case of travelling it will be best if you use it indoors like in hotel or vila or... , pico is better for outdoor adventure.
Thank you very much! I think I will sell Flair as I don’t use it much. I was planning to sell Picpresso but it is so small and so good that it might become my permanent travel companion.
@@mycoffeeshow111 but flair is really fun to use, im planning on buying flair58, i think its the ultimate lever espresso machine. by the way its interesting how most of professional baristas like you use commandante as hand grinder while in comparisons other hand grinders consider to be the best instead of C40, what is the secret ?! ( just curiosity LOL )
@@Arashasadi23 Flair is great and you will have even more fun with F58 for sure. At home I mostly use Decent and La Pavoni and I don’t travel so often to justify keeping Flair as well. Besides my videos with Flair got below average nr of views so I guess there is no appetite for that . Not sure about being a barista but I have 4 hand grinders and chosen to take C40 for holidays because is light and really good for pour over and that what I was drinking the most.
Just as an aside, and you may already know this but if you use the bottom half of a moka pot and set the flair grouphead on top while heating it preheats nicely. It is fairly quick and wastes way, way less water. I don't remember where I read this but when I tried it, it works well.
I brought my Picopresso to a nice hotel for a birthday celebration. The room has a Nespresso machine and I didn't use it at all. I lugged my scale, grinder and beans and made a really nice cup of espresso.
Thank you for the video! After a while, do you still have the Picopresso and is still doing its job well? I'm considering buying one but have seen reports that over time it develops leaks etc.
Hi, if you only need grinder for espresso then Kinu is worth considering. If you are looking for something multipurpose (espresso and pour overs) K Ultra is really good.

I was never impressed with the control on the picopresso. You can do anything you want on the flair. It's certainly more compact and that's huge for some. I think on either one you want a kettle setup at least. Either way your coffee should be solid. Pico takes some getting used to.
Flair definitely offers a lot. I think you can get a pressure gauge for Picopresso but otherwise you just guess. Some people mentioned about different recipes for it like blooming espresso or turbo. Maybe I will try it one day. But whatever you say you can’t find anything as good and as small as picopresso so it is great for holidays.

It is indeed a great little espresso machine especially for when you travel. What is most important- it can make really decent espresso.

That looks like a super lovely place to have a vacation! Can I know the name of the place?
Thank you. I was in Cisna in Poland
are those some orange fruits on the tree in the background?
Definitely no oranges in Poland. Maybe some plums

Hi! 9-10 clicks on Conandante- do you use Red click?
Hi, nope, no red clicks. I use C40 mostly for pour overs
@@mycoffeeshow111 i use 14 clicks after the picopresso clogged at 10 clicks. ^^ also standard c40 mk4.
