  • While Mike Lefevre was off the road for the birth of his son Jordan, Steve Hurst filled the baritone spot on a cruise Gold City hosted with Heaven Bound in 1991. Steve along with Brian Free, Ivan Parker, Tim Riley, Taco and the band perform, "Nobody's There" from the Windows of Home album.

Great flashback! Windows of Home is one my all-time favorites. It's hard to believe this video was 33 years ago! Great album, Great song, & the legacy of Gold City is strong as ever! 👋👋👋🙂❤

Well that is certainly something I've never seen before! Steve Hurst singing baritone with Gold City? Another interesting tidbit that people, at least a lot of people will miss Is that in the liner notes for the album that this song came from, Windows of Home, Steve Hurst is credited with vocal coaching. So this is a cool little connect the dots video.

Steve was their coach and filled in for Mike Lefevre when Jordan was born. He turned down the job when Mike left because the travel schedule wouldn’t work with his coaching schedule, and he was starting the Steve Hurst School of Music. He told me a few years ago that he kind of wished he’d taken the job when Pillars of Faith came out 😂
