Thanks! It's still watchable/listenable, but I just like to show people what's going on at the table. The more I try to increase the "production value" of this series, the more complex it gets, which means more moving parts where things can go wrong.
Somehow I missed the complications thing in Between the Skies, thanks. Also, perhaps a suggestion for combat: you could borrow the procedures from "Dungeon World" and make all rolls "player-facing". A partial success could be a roll of the wound die for either both parties or neither, while a success/failure is only for one. If there are multiple combatants against one of similar strength, they have an advantage.
BtS has links in the notes to both CHILLS and LOUCHE. I'll check out dungeon world, I'm always on the lookout for quick narrative based combat procedures.
Yes! I was thinking about that as well. The complications table I made is quite harsh. But the result seemed to fit into established threads, so I went with it.
I love the cold open! No worries about the dice, it’s still going to be a fun watch I’m sure

Another good episode. Not many successes like you said, but they can survive to adventure another day.
Sometimes survival is the greatest success of all!
@@theragamancers So true.

An interesting case of a Complication resulting in a worse result than a failure would have done...
