Same here! Though probably a bit different. Since first of all I would have been a bit late to get into ballet. And second, ended up in a wheelchair before I had the chance. (No pity party needed though! I live a genuinely happy life!) I still love everything Ballet/Dance though! Ever since I found Josephine’s channel, I haven’t missed a single video!! Or UA-cam hasn’t send a notification with every video? Gonna check after this if I missed any and will watch them back. And still need to watch back some older videos 😳 Just haven’t had the time yet.
Ya know, if Josephine does a whole series reacting and commentating on ballet dances , I would really watch that. Like if we have commentators for sports, surely ballet could do that too?
Kathryn Morgan commented on her own performance of Romeo & Juliet and explained everything and it was hilarious :D would love to see Josephine do commentary too!
Yes, they do! At dance competitions, they normally don't let the audience hear, because it's just corrections and compliments for the dancers. Hope this helps!
@@Neptune_symbol0273 our right Edit: watched it again,, the lady in the video even comments at the very end of the clip 'and the (brand name) on the right' when the dancer puts her right foot forward, meaning her left our right is the wish shoe.

Several years ago, my nephews were practice sword fighting and one of them got hit in the nose. His wife gave him a tampon to deal with the nose bleed. There's a photo.
@@lilibetp So, there is a device for nosebleeds called a Rhino Rocket, and not only does it look just like a small tampon, but the packaging even calls it a “high volume low pressure tamponade.” (≧∇≦)

My dad tripped over and bust his knee open on holiday a few years ago... apparently the hotel literally couldn't find their first aid box (a whole other level of worrying!) so my mum ended up patching him up with a Savlon / Always Ultra emergency combo till they could get to the local pharmacy.
I'm gonna be 100% honest... I think you should keep doing these because Josephine getting all worked up is kind of funny to watch. You know... in that "older sibling teasing a younger sibling," sort of way...
I actually have EDS and most medical professionals don't even know what it is so you have no idea how exciting it is for me to hear you mention it (I know sad but 🤷🏼♀️)
When you said EDS about the genetic edge, I wanted to cry. It's true. My feet are too perfect for pointe. I was told in high school by my dance teacher I had the most beautiful feet for pointe if I ever wanted to do it. Fast forward to being in the doctor's office being being told I have EDS explaining my hypermobility & joint dislocations. 😅 Fast forward to you. Lololol
I used a pad in an emergency for dance shoes when my shoes were unexpectedly lost right before the performance and they didn't have any more in my size. They weren't ballet shoes but I would not recommend, the adhesive kinda got melty and got all over my feet.
EDS recognition! EDS both made me really good at ballet and ultimately caused me to quit when my ankles became too unstable. Years of physical therapy and two hip surgeries later and I still can't do ballet at a high level anymore but I can figure skate! Three cheers for "giant solid boot."
1:43 I have literally no experience with ballet, but as an Orthopedic Technician, videos of moments like these always give me a FREAKIN HEART ATTACK ☠️
More!! You're reactions are so perfect and I learn so much! It's (now not secretly) my dream to be a pointe shoe fitter but I don't know where to start.
Despite never getting good enough to make it to Pointe, I just watched all of these reacts and a bunch of other videos on this channel and I am STILL thrust right back to my days doing ballet in a small town as a teenager. I'm not sure my poor feet could have handled point. I have zero arch and my feet aren't terribly flexible. I also danced like a calf romping through a field of daisies. I sure do miss ballet though!
I love these videos. I teach ballet and jazz and I swear the pointe shoe fitters here (in Singapore) are not great. One of my girls got a pointe shoe that had terrible bunching and twisting and the sides gaped when she went up en pointe 🤦🏻♀️ really wish they could get fitted by Josephine!!
Omg!! This is the first time I’ve heard someone mention EDS!! I had to quit dance because of it but for 22 years, everyone just thought I was naturally flexible for gymnastics and dance
Omg i sent in the first one!! So happy Josephine liked it as much as i did 😂 however, much to her dismay I now feel as though I need to send more for the next video hahaha
I fully credit watching this channel as to being the only reason I could identify the shoe from Wish. Before finding this channel, all of the pointe shoes looked essentially the same.
Not me hearing EDS and being so confused cause I was told that doing ballet half my life made mine worse….(I have flat feet so 0 arches so I’m screwed anyway)

Hi Josephine I’m Katelynn and I’ve been dancing ballet since I was twelve just gonna throw this out there-using period pads is not great;however, using removable bra padding is high key amazing definitely recommend

I just found & and started watching these earlier this week. I danced from 2-17. But only went on pointe when our ballet teacher saw we seemed strong enough. I was 11 thru 17. My body alone was not made to even try to be a ballet dancer, & honestly did ballet & pointe bc ballet is necessary for all dance.. and pointe strengthened my ankles and helped my balance. And from 18 and on I have been teaching at different studios... even ballet bc doing 3hr classes/3 days a week(but danced really contemporary, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical). So I can't NOT remember every step from warm up on barre to in center grande adagio, petite allegro, etc., and then across the floor. So I LOVEEE these videos all compiled and ur reactions ESPECIALLY from you as a ballerina/real/actual pointe shoe fitter.
