DIY Industrial Pipe Clothing Rack

- Hey guys!! I built my own industrial pipe clothing rack! It was super easy and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to! 🥳 If you like my design feel free to copy it and please send me pictures of your clothing rack on Instagram! I would love to see how yours look! 😍

Here's what you'll need to build your own rack:
- Board for the base (mine is 65")
- Board for the top (mine is 60")
- Galvanized pipes:
2 of 5' that go vertically
1 of 4' that goes horizontally
- 4 wheels
- 2 galvanized steel pipe nipple 5"
- 2 galvanized steel pipe nipple 3"
- 4 galvanized iron floor flange
- 2 Fitting galvanized iron cap
- 2 Cross pipe fitting
- 16 flat head bolt
- 16 nuts
- 16 washers
- Clear paint
- White paint
- Gold spray paint: Rust-Oleum Metallic Gloss Gold Spray Paint
Tools:
- Pipe wrench
- Drill
- Ratchet with appropriate socket
- Sander (or sandpaper)
This is what I used, but remember you don't have to make one exactly like mine. Use this video as your inspo but customize it to your liking! Good luck love!

I just made one, so excited! Did you notice if the clothes hangers caused the paint to scratch off over time? Would I need to put a clear sealer on top of spray paint?

What color paint did you use for the actual rack part of it?
Sorry about the delay! Here's the spray paint I used: Rust-Oleum Metallic Gloss Spray Paint, you can find it at Lowes or Home Depot

What are the pipe measurements?
The height is 5’ and the width is 4’ but I’m sure you can try different measurements ☺️
Is it study?
It was a bit wobbly at first because I had used 2 different types of wheels, 2 of them had breaks and the other 2 didn't, but after fixing that it's very stable 😃
