very nice! Can you tell me what talk box you are using and how you have the talk box hooked up with the amp? I have a line 6 spider 2 212 amp and am making my own talk box and want to get some more knowledge on it before I get my talk box complete. Thanks and great playing dude!
thank you! I have my Jackson sl-1 soloist plugged into the Talkbox in the input spot. Then I have a cord going from output to the amplifier. There is also a microphone attached beside the end of the tub to mic it into the PA system. good luck! :)
+breiterlespaul you didn't have an effects pedal before the talkbox? The distortion was just from the talk box itself?
+Jason DeBias no effects pedals. I just clicked the rocktron banshee 2 Talkbox pedal and had everything turned almost to the max.

Lol actually its the same color as my real hair but I wanted to do an 80sish style, thanks! I love the talkbox. I use a banshee 2 talkbox-its nice and fun to use but there aren't that many songs to use it for.
I made one myself with a plain computer speaker by placing it in an isolated box in a box. (just acoustic foam)
I do had to solder but you probably don't necessarilly have to do that.
A talkbox is actually pretty darn easy , it is almost a shame that these that you buy already cost 100 bucks. (I use € .)
Mine of course doesn't have a bypass switch so it will depend on your amp how you will be able to use it.
But... it hasn't been blown yet, it still works after a couple of hours of playing.
I put the amplifier of the computer speaker in the box together with one of the two speakers.
This way you don't have to put a full big guitar/bass amp on a little speaker.
It goes this way guitar/bass (I have used talkbox with bass/guitar/keyboard but I primarily play bass.) - sometimes a compressor - big amplifier - sometimes I put an extra little amp that I connect to the output of my big amplifier to get some distortion (harmonics are very usefull when you want to really 'talk' with it) - some adapters and stuff to be able to connect it - computer speaker amplifier - isolated speaker - tube - mouth
and if you want to make the eventual sound louder -> microphone - P.A.

The talkbox has nothing to do with the amplifier you use. The sound travels from your guitar, through a cord, into the talkbox, and to the amp. When using the talkbox, the sound comes through the tube, and out the end of the tube into your mouth. When you move your mouth in a "wahh" shape, that transforms the sound. You can use whatever amp you want, but in this video I miced the talkbox into the PA system in the auditorium.
Breiter, when you go away from the mic, did you disengage talkbox, or the sound just kept coming through this pipe into PA?
