Thanks for the lesson. That album - Still Got The Blues - is phenomenal. Every song. I've lost track of how many times I have listened to it over the years. Top ten album ever for me.
Hi John, Happy New Year to you. How do I sign up for an account? I have been following your You Tube channel for about four years, and I need more all this great advice and content!
Great leason as usual. Jon 👍🏻 hopefully u or someone reading this can help,,, i have a major problem playin barre chords due to a finger injury years ago,,, is there a shortcut or some other way /notes etc, u can play to replace the barre chords? Seems everything I'm tryin to learn (im a beginner) has barre chords, and i cant find a way around them 🤯 any help is MAJORLY appreciated!!! Happy and safe new year to u and everyone watching this 👍🏻🍻
One answer is simply not to play the full chord, just play the notes you can reach. As long as you get a few notes , especially the root you should be ok. Fret the root with the thumb, or for 'E' shape chords just play the 1st - 4th strings.
I'm no teacher of any sort, but the triads of those barre chords will work just as well, maybe not as full sound but they'll work, maybe diads also. Try it out, good luck, keep playing!
WHEW...! It is getting HOT up in Here! Only 3 minutes in and I had to tell the wife to turn on the air conditioner (spicy). I really want to get proficient at playing this so I will definitely have to practice this to get is smooth. [Just subscribed]

First time I heard thus tune.. I love it ❤ it's a bit like Soul Lament sort of by Kenny Burrell
Excellent tutor and player
The Caged C lead lick sounds like part of the beginning of Soul Man The Blues Brothers
The closest version for me its Bonamassa's one... I hope someday you show that one also
Try doing what Tony Iomi did- put prosthetic thymbols in your finger tips
