    bought a brand new 2013 outlander 800 xt and its awesome. Test drove my friends 2011 polaris 850 sportsman thereafter and im glad I got the canam. So much more power, awesome steering and a blast to drive. Gets through a lot of rough trails.

    Agreed. I know its just a pin that slide forward to engage the front Diff. I am sure that this issue will be the next upgrade for Can Am. Either way, I am picking up my 1000xt Max on Wednesday. I will post some pics on theh Power Stores FB page.

    Are you still trying to get a monthly payment estimate on an outlander? I bought one 2 months ago. Its a 2012 leftover outlander 1000. Never ridden, never had gas in it. It just sat in a warehouse waiting to be sold. $9200 base price. $11000 total financed at 6.49%. Payment is $198 a month. That's 72 months. I can pay it off early if I want. I'm 3 months ahead of schedule. Pretty easy. This is the best UTV quad. It powers through everything. Top speed- 78mph. 0 to 55 in 3 seconds. Get one!!!

    @70sonicboom I also really don't think the assist is gonna be all that low on minimum, it might be to much assist on other settings though hah. But i think this is the biggest baddest atv out right now lol, except the renegade. And the Brute force 750 is awesome.

    @70sonicboom Are you even looking at the XT model?? The XT comes with power steering which adds on a good amount of weight, not to mention beefier tires/ rims, also a 3000ib winch, AND metal bumpers/ protectors... All this added to the original 747ib...

    With can am's visco lok, about how many miles can it go before the viscous fluid starts to fail and the diff takes more time to lock in?

    My 2012 brand new outlander 800r xt was only 11,300 on sale and the 1000 next to it was only 1,000 more. They have the same power to weight ratio so I put the grand I saved getting an 800 on 30" mudlites and 14" wheels

    I seasonally love the single brake lever- my brakes hardly even get used even down hill- the engine brake is so effective it practically stops you dead nuts once you let go of the throttle. The new outty 1000 is just a carnivore in the forest of atv's!

  • @smeglin1
    @smeglin1 11 років тому

    I always slow down to about 5 mph and release the throttle when switching into 4x4- diff baskets are not very forgiving, even in these high-end monster atv's.

    I don't know where they are getting this 900 lbs weight from. According to Can Am's catalog, the machine weighs 747 lbs dry. It has a 5.4 gallon gas tank and a gallon of gas weighs about 6.1 lbs. So that means that fully fueled, it only comes in at about 780 lbs which is still less weight than a lot of the Polaris models. And with that huge Rotax engine powering the Can Am, it's power to weight ratio is far superior to any other machine of similar class.

    I think the 3 position option is silly.Leave it on MAX because it tapers off at high speed anyway.

    Did he say it has a 2 wheel Drive / 4 wheel Drive that can be switch on the "FLY" If this is fact, its about time. Nothing worse then having to stop just before a hole and switch to 4 wheel Drive. I am sure it pisses off the people behind you too. I am thinking of getting one and if this is true, I am sold!!!

    I own two dirt bikes and one street bike. If you are asking if I own a quad then the answer is yes and no I still make payments on my Polaris Sportsman 850 ( 850cc) true displacement.

  • @manbeastx69
    @manbeastx69 11 років тому

    You enjoy your Can Am 976xt Max. Just stating the true facts on it's displacement.Look it up if you do not believe me.

  • @smeglin1

    lmfao!
    comparing the brute 750 to any can-am is a total joke. Ergonomically & quality wise. The brute 750 power wise is compared to the outty 650- forget about the 800 or 1000 rotax- comparing a brute 750 to an outty 800 or 1000 is like comparing a paddle boat to a MasterCraft ski boat! now go educate yourself!
