My question was "Can 19 High Elf Heroes make a viable army comp?"
Now it's "Would 19 High Elf Heroes even be interesting enough for a video?"
As long as a faction has access to any decent offensive lore of magic (Fire, Light, Celestial, Vampire are ideal, pretty much anything with a vortex will work though), and a Melee hero that can survive for about 30 seconds of sustained combat (or if not, access to a life wizard to MAKE them survive that long), it can make a viable hero army. You just have to micro the wizards or get them on some sort of flying mount to keep them out of combat, and then wait for the entire army to cluster up around the melee heroes, and then drop a vortex or 2 in the middle and laugh as your wizards get 1000+ kills per cast. I had an empire Light wizard get 1800 kills with one Banishment in a battle against SFO chaos.
Yes Tyrion with sword of Khaine. 1 man army If you don’t count them his life mage bitches tagging along.
19 fire mages on dragon with imirk?
high elf heroes have some of the most broken traits in the campaign. Having a bunch of incendiary trait mages on dragons? Stupid damage, and crazy charge bonus. Or get a bunch of lore masters of hoeth with the resilient trait and they will never die, even against overwhelming odds. The dragon mage with incendiary trait though is probably more video friendly.
Literally every high elf hero makes a doomstack.
They are all incredibly strong.
20 Loremasters of Hoeth is a nigh unkillable doomstack with the right traits.
20 Mages will always be overpowered, because of magic. And if you make it fire mages, they get access to freacking dragon mounts so they become incredibly good in melee as well suddenly.
20 Nobles is incredible in melee and very versatile depending on the mount you give each of them, as well as their traits.
Handmaidens are the only ones I would not doomstack I guess, but even so, 20 Handmaidens with the right traits will beat almost any AI army 1v1, but they won't be good enough to beat multiple armies all on their own like the others could.
High Elves are just too strong is the gist of it.

They used to have a stacking range buff as well, but it was patched to and army-wide ability. You could easily get ratling guns with over 300 range. It was so broken but so much fun.

This video inspired me to do another Skyre campaign, currently have 5 engineers with Ikit, and 6 Ratling Gunner units doing over 1200 missile strength, they can melt a lord within 1 second hahaaaa
When that Warp-lighting got off I just imagined the 18 rat engineers screaming « UNLIMITED POWWWWERRRRRR »

all i can imagine is 20 doomrockets and 20 warp lightning spells going off at once, horrible thought, the skaven have some pretty op spells, plague as well and also may as well summon a whole unit of stormvermin while your at it

Imagine how many steam tanks a good Empire campaign can field. Now imagine the most Skaven bot having no more than 10-12 settlements on the tougher difficulties and you are thankful that there are custom battles where you can actually do this right.
