Yep, me too. I like these folks much better than I ever have my own blood relatives. I haven't seen my Sister or her Brother in years and probably won't and I'm fine with that. But Tipper, Matt and the Girls, I would enjoy watching all day...
These Q & A’s with you & Matt are so fun,Tipper! It’s like we get to learn new things about our distant, but much loved relatives! Matt is such a hoot and I love his sense of humor. So many of the humorous things he says, reminds me of my precious daddy. My daddy has gone on to be with Jesus now, but he had the most wonderful, fun-loving personality & he kept his endearing sense of humor until his death…even during his last couple of years, when I know he was suffering…daddy still found a reason to laugh, & to bring laughter to his wife, four daughters, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. My daddy was a good ole’, hard working country boy & he was all about God, his family, his garden, fishing, hunting & all things outdoors. He was a wonderful provider & a wonderful father. Basically, he was an older, balder version of your Matt. Lol. They just don’t make men like them anymore! Thanks for another great video. Mama & I sure enjoyed it. God bless you all.🙏🏻💕
I love the entire family. I can be in the crummiest mood and turn you folks on and in no time at all, I’m doing just fine! Thank you so much for that!!!
Tipper, I need to find the song from the Galveston Hurricane. My best friend wrote about it for the Daughter's of the Republic of Texas essay contest one year. Ruth's family owned Ashton Villa there in the day. I'll find the song. Thank you!
Loved the Q&A! And just hearing more about your family and Appalachian! Hope it happens soon for Matt to be able to quit his job and be full time for Celebrating Appalachian!!🩷🥰
A 3rd Q&A would be great. I'm several years older than you, and across the country, but still I identify with you. You take me back to how I was raised. I look forward to your videos, I really enjoy you and Matt sitting and talking. Love your sweet girls, and the values you and Matt have instilled in them. Thank you for sharing your family with us, and bringing back the memories I treasure! 😃❤
Me and my wife both enjoy your channel more than any other we can't wait for the next video. Speaking of my wife. She had heart surgery last week but is doing well. I brought her home this afternoon. Been a rough week for her but she is so glad to be back home. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Tipper you were thanking the viewers for watching, but we should all be thanking you and your family. Y'all are so centered and real and genuine. Watching your channel is so calming and reassuring because of the love and closeness y'all have and most of all your faith. If people who are out there searching for peace and joy and love would start to watch y'all, it would change them. It might make them slow down and appreciate the life and blessings they have. I feel like y'all are family.
I love these Q&A videos! It’s so fun to learn more about my UA-cam family. 😊 I like seeing Matt’s sense of humor come out. 😂 You look so pretty in pink.
Kindness, thoughtfulness, sharing, helping, giving, always thinking of someone else in need. That's the Pressley family. Thank you for being a loving and caring family. It is truly a blessing to come to your channel and just sit and be quiet and watch and listen to everything you have to share with others. Prayers for Granny and her health. God bless you and yours, Always in Christ name, Amen
Please continue the Q & A sessions. I love them. Not only do I learn more about you all but I think about how I would answer some of the questions and perhaps learn something about myself.😊
You have blessed me too. I started watching Celebrating Appalachia in 2020. I saw your channel on my suggested channels and the title appealed to me immediately because I am also, as you say Tipper, "plum foolish" about Appalachian culture. I am such a fan of your channel, as well as the girls' channel. God bless you all and keep up the great work! You make Appalachia proud! 😀❤
That is so crazy that I was thinking of a memory when I was young and sitting in a chair, holding my baby sister and I dropped her and she was weeks or months old and then Matt spoke of being dropped.
As a new follower, I love learning more about you all. Interesting you mention Tony Rice as a friend told me today I should look for his music. I have no reason to think that I have anyone from my family that ever lived in Appalacia but my heart sure feels a pull to it. And your videos help me to realize it's ok to slow down and just sit a while. Feel like I'm right there sitting with you.❤
I just want to let you know how much I enjoy your channel. I have learned so much about my family from watching your channel. See I did a DNA test and I knew my family was from Eastern Kentucky, but until I watched your channel, I didn't know why we ate soupy pinto beans and cornbread, or why my Dad crumbled his cornbread and put his soup beans on top. It's an Appalachian thing. Thank you for keeping the heritage alive
We live here in Texas and I have read about the Galveston hurricane of 1900. The nuns tied the little orphans to them to save them, but all were lost but 1 little boy who got caught up in a tree ,very sad.
I definitely would like to see more questions and answers. I have thoroughly enjoyed these. You enrich our lives, you and Matt, with your stories and experiences.
I just love your channel, Tipper! You remind me of how I was raised. It makes me miss my Grannies, who were both southern ladies to the core. I also love how you leave the camera rolling while you and Matt just talk. It’s so relaxing to watch, especially with so many disturbing things in the news and on TV these days. You take us back to a much simpler time. Always looking forward to a new video. ❤
This is for Matt!! My Daddy had a Jeep also, I assume it was left over from WW11. It was painted blue. When my brother turned 6, Daddy shifted that gear down into some very low gear, twisted something on the hub caps & let my brother stand up in the front seat & drive all over r 2 acres. My brother said he never walked again- more trucks, forklifts, dump trucks, etc. Now because I was a GIRL I wasn’t allowed to drive until I went off to college & teacher that were going to teach Drivers Education needed a student - I finally learned how to drive. Ur journey all over the area brought back lots of memories. Thanks
I love listening to y'all while I'm out working in the gardens. You inspire me to keep going in these 90 and 100 degree days!. I love and appreciate the videos!
My Dad always told me, "You can do anything you want to do. You just have to want to do it bad enough." This has been my lifeline many times. Thank you for sharing with us. You are such a blessing!
Tipper and Matt, We are thankful for your ideas for gardening. We are both elderly and love raising a garden and your videos have helped us do this easier. We now use cattle panels, a Vego raised bed and grow bags. We would not have done this if not for your informative videos. Green beans, tomatoes ,cucumbers, mustard greens, onions, and potatoes have already been harvested. We look forward to all your videos. God Bless you both.
Thank you for sharing your stories. It was so interesting to here how you got this far on UA-cam, since I only just started watching your channel this year, I did not know. You are both so soft spoken and nice to listen to. You provide such wonderful content. Thank you
Please go ahead with part 3, I enjoy hearing your stories and insights! I would be over the moon to see more Matt on the channel if that’s in the plans. Heck strap a GoPro to your boat and take us on a kayak fishing adventure 🎣☀️and call it a days work😊
I really appreciate you all’s family. It is comforting to me. I am absolutely sure most of the reason you all have such a close family is you are close to God. And you have passed it along to your daughters. I truly loved Corie’s recent tribute to Miss Cindy and how she shared her faith. That goes back to the closeness of your family ties and your Faith. Matt and Tipper it is clear that you love each other and your family and even friends. Your love is clearly visible.
Thank you for posting these Q & A videos! I really appreciate being able to vicariously experience southern Appalachia even though I don't get to live there anymore or get to visit much. Getting to see you all in your garden, cooking or preserving food is such a comfort and feels like being with family. Thanks again!
I absolutely love these Q &A sessions with you and Matt! Great getting to know you better! Good people with good values…my kind of people! Tipper, like you, I love reading!! Can’t wait till the 3rd session!! God bless and live to you both!! 💕🤗🙏🏻
I enjoyed spending my evening with you and Matt. Thank you so being so genuine and honest. I feel your channel is a youtube treasure, and I pray that God will continue to bless you and yours. Yes, I'd love to hear the third edition. Dinner sounds sounds lovely. Hope you enjoyed it. Peace be with you.
Been watching u all for about 6 months now. U are all great down to earth people. I definitely got some new viewers for u. They all love u too. I live in mid west Ohio, 7 miles from Indiana. Small town, love it here. It's beautiful where u live. Thank for all the entertainment. U guys are awesome, God fearing people.
Share part 3 whenever you like or are ready ---we're happily here for it all. Have a blessed day Appalachian friends. Y'all are in our prayers. -much love from NJ ~Mary & fam
I'm a repeat of all your comments.... We are blessed to have you, Matt and Tipper and your family sharing your life with us. I hope you really understand the impact you have made on so many people. We need more people like you in the world. Thanks for sharing Tipper. A part 3 of the Q&A would be wonderful.
❤❤🎉🎉thank you so much for this video!❤ I could watch 50 more of these.❤even though you say you tube blesses you, we the people on the receiving end are the truly blest ones!!! Thank you. We are having our first sweet corn here in pa. And are picking blueberries 🫐 tomorrow! THE LORD IS GOOD! PRAY HE CONTINES TO BLESS YOUR FAMILY AND THIS GREAT COUNTRY.😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your family and life with us. I have been recovering this summer from knee replacements. It is like being outside in the woods, the garden or just sitting in the yard visiting. I so appreciate your family and the old ways and values. In this troubled world its such a comfort to sit a while with you guys and visit. Praying for Granny. God bless you all and God bless America.
I KNEW I loved y’all but Tony Rice and Ricky Skaggs. YESSS!! I played mandolin, sang and acted a fool in a bluegrass band here in Va Beach/Norfolk Va back in the 80’s. I met both of those men playing at festivals. Tony Rice was a master.
We are so privileged to be able to come and be part of your family. Thank you so much for allowing us in, Tipper. Hugs to you and Matt and the girls and Austin; a special hug for Granny, praying for her every day!! 💗 Oh, love hearing the anwers to the questions! Please keep going!! 😊
Love this! So good to escape to something that is authentic. Brings me way back to my childhood ( I'm 66 yrs old/young ) spending time with my mamma and grandaddy. Garden they had and the pen for granddaddy's hunting dogs. When all of the noise of the present moments, it is so good to just watch you two and your daughters doing things.
I randomly came across your channel a while back and was immediately drawn to the title. My father was from Tennessee and I was very close to his mother until her death at 93. They've both been gone for a decades now and I miss their language, cooking and stories. So, nostalgia made me click on your video and I've been hooked ever since. I've ordered the cookbook for myself and my son. It's a link to my father, who passed long before my children were born.
I really did enjoy part 2 of the Q&A. Thank y’all for sharing so much of your lives with us. Y’all really are like good close friends sitting around just having conversations. I hope and pray God continues to bless y’all so Matt can stay home to help produce more good videos.
I’m glad you and Matt shared your life lessons. It’s been so hard for so long I forget that there is good too. So thanks to you and Matt for reminding me! Y’all are so helpful, you don’t even know!!!!😢😮😊❤
I love your Q & A Videos. Keep ‘em coming. I just find your content fascinating. Almost always I’m watching on our big screen TV, so commenting is not possible, but I love watching you all and wish you continued success with your channel. ❤️❤️❤️
We love your common sense morals and ethics.. And your recipes! And your garden and the beautiful scenery! And you're a wonderful accent!! Love you both! Love you both!❤❤❤
Thank you for the videos. Feels like a nice visit. You folks are just real people and very relatable. Hope you have a great summer. Sincerely, Shannon Duncan
I grew up on a farm and started learning to drive around 8 or 10 years old... driving the truck on the dirt road on the property, helping during irrigation with checking pipes.
Tipper, I just love you and Matt…you’re such nice people! I will watch your videos as long as you post them…I love the girls too! So keep ‘em coming…I look forward to each and every one❤ you have a way of making us feel like we really are part of your family!
Favorite memory because I loved my grandpa so much was sitting on the porch with him while he ate his favorite raw hambuger sandwich and he gave me a bite. I have loved raw beef ever since. But I love him more and that memory. I miss him so much.
My momma used to say, “ don’t worry about things that might happen, if it doesn’t than you worried for nothing and if it does happen then you’ll have to worry twice as long.”
Your both so well balanced together, God always knows who to match us up with. I love the questions and how generally you both answer them. May God Bless you and your family ❤️🙏❤️
Your girls are so blessed!! Matt rubbing Corys legs when she was young made me tear up!! I heard my biological father tell my mom that he didn't want the responsibility of me anymore. I was about 6 or 7!!!! My stepfather was my Daddy!!!!!!!! I miss him so so much!!
Dear Tipper and Matt, we enjoy watching you so much, I think your the nicest thing on tv and it’s a learning experience. A couple of things, my husband grew up with a 22 magnum and he would like to know what kind of Rifle Matt uses in 22 Magnum. So I like to make Blueberry pie (my Bible study loves it) I have used The Wild Maine Blueberry pie recipe in Yankee Magazine. The pie crust is all butter and the thing is a food processor, frozen butter, ice water, AP flour, salt and a little sugar. Blend the butter into the dry, pour into the feed tube the ice water slowly until it clumps and stop immediately. Take out and make 2 discs and refrigerate for 1/2 hour. Roll out on a floured board. This is perfect Tipper and the better thing is Irish grass fed butter. You can taste the difference. Fresh blueberries, 3 Tbsp minute tapioca, sugar and butter. 2 1/2 C Flour 1 C butter cubed and frozen 1 Tbsp sugar 1 tsp Salt 6-8 tablespoons ice cold water Add flour, sugar and salt to a food processor and mix it. Add butter and mix it until it looks like corn meal. While running dribble in water just until it clumps, stop immediately. Take out and make two discs and wrap in plastic a refrigerate at least 1/2 hour or over night. Roll on a flour dusted board. This is for a 9 inch pie plate. Filling 5 C blueberries and frozen is fine but don’t thaw. 2/3 C sugar 1 Tbsp lemon juice 3 Tbsp minute tapioca 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 pinch nutmeg 5-6 pats of butter Add blueberry mixture to pie shell and top with butter. Top with top crust and flute the edge. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with a little sugar, bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or longer. How hot does your oven run? If you get really hot and berry juice is bubbling I’d say you’re done. Just keep an eye on it. This crust is a winner and is so light and flakey, just lovely and I get a lot of requests for this pie. I give it to you with all my love. I enjoy your writing to much and love getting to sit and visit with you and your family, it is such a pleasure to see your garden, watch you cook, see Granny and what’s she doing. Tell everyone I said Hi and god bless you all. Can’t wait until I get your cook book, wish I could have it signed. Your friend, Jennifer Gearhart
Yes, please answer more questions., y’all are so sweet together! How did you meet each other? What is your most favorite meal, dessert? Do you have any pets besides the hens?
O yeah! Definitely do a next installment of answering questions. I’m fairly new here but I just love what you and your girls are doing on UA-cam. It brings such interesting education, humor and I can sense God’s peace and overflow to your fans on here all while listening 😍💖
What a blessing your channel has been to me. I found you when I was searching to find out what 'leather britches' were that I had heard about on another homesteading channel...that was over a year ago. I love these talks the two of you have and how 'real' you are. I haven't watched TV for over a year since I discovered youtube homesteading families. My kids are in their mid 40s and are busy with their own families and I am caregiver of my disabled husband...so families like yours fill a big void in my life of just wanting to know how someone's day has gone and what they are planning to do in the future. I am so glad you have welcomed people into your world, and it's a wonderful welcoming world, too.
Find it very relaxing listening to you and Matt chatting about your everyday life . Questions I would not ask you myself but I enjoy your answers . Please do as many question and answer vids as you wish and I will tune in . This is far better than anything tv offers . May God continue to bless your family and home .
I really enjoy the Q&A's that you & the girls post. You all have brought great joy into my life since I've been watching your channels. I know that producing a you tube channel is a lot of work & I appreciate your dedication. Hugs! Praying for good news on Granny this week!
I Enjoyed so Much, Tipper & Matt, Always My Pleasure to Watch & Listen as You All do the Q & A's, gardening or whatever it might be. My Daddy rubbed My legs from the time I was a Young girl..rubbing alcohol & get them warm by the wood stove in Winter..Summer just the Same but using blanket...GOD BLESS YOU ALL .. Love Your Channel even with health issues I get behind but I try to get back through...Prayers for Granny too.
For growing pains, get yourself old socks and fill them with dry beans, sew the top closed or tie in a knot. Heat them up in the oven or the microwave until real warm but not hot enough to burn you. Put on those those little knees and they will just fall asleep. Works great for shoulder or neck pains and for girls who have tummy pains as well.
I sure do enjoy these Q&A style videos. It's nice to find out things about the interesting people that you two and the girls are, and the life-style you all celebrate. It always surprises me that although I live and grew up in another country you and I have a great many customs and attitudes in common.
I REALLY LOVE YOU GUY'S, YOU ARE SOOOO REAL. STRAIGHT SOUTHERN COUNTRY. YOU MAKE ME MISS HOME SOOOO MUCH. IT CAN BE HARD TO WATCH YOU SOMETIMES. BE 'BLESSED 'ALWAYS 'IN 'CHRIST. 👑👑🕊📿🙏🦋❣. 7/18/2023. @ 7:31 PM.
Growing up in Charlotte, I took drivers ed in summer school. We learned to drive a stick shift on a Volkswagen Beetle. The teacher was a football coach and he made us drive on Independence Blvd and I-85 which was scary for a new driver.
Tipper and Matt , thank you so much for your videos. You all are such an inspiration. I live alone and look forward to you sharing your life. Thank you so much!

I absolutely agree Tipper, the Skaggs & Rice album is wonderful! "Talk About Suffering" is my favorite song off of that album. RIP Tony Rice
Tipper I’m forever grateful for you and your willingness to share the beauty of home!
My pleasure!

You all are like my family, so down to earth. Good folks 👍
I'm a repeat of all your comments.... We are blessed to have you, Matt and Tipper and your family sharing your life with us. I hope you really understand the impact you have made on so many people. We need more people like you in the world.

Thank you Lisa!! I hope the knees are soon healed 😀
You are so kind! Thank you 😀
Love these question and answer videos. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. May God richly bless you and your family.
How many people learned to drive a tractor before a car?😊
Yes, I was 12 when my dad died and my brother and I had to bail the hay. I drove the tractor and my brother threw the bails down the rows.
✋
😀
Me, a Farmall H.
Me and all my Redneck cousins
I really like these! You're good and interesting people, and I love the way you live. Take care, and God bless!
Grandmother perhaps!!
@@watchinglclowns9890 yes, but wanted to distinguish between my paternal and maternal grandmothers.
I'm so glad you enjoy our videos and that we remind you of good times and family 😀
Love you both!❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😊
I sure do enjoy the Q and A sessions. You, Matt, and the girls have become like family to me in addition to my own children. I love you all bunches!💞
We are here and you are there and we are glad. Thanks . Many times it is like being back in the good days during the 1950's.
Thank you for the videos. Feels like a nice visit. You folks are just real people and very relatable. Hope you have a great summer.
Sincerely,
Shannon Duncan
I grew up on a farm and started learning to drive around 8 or 10 years old... driving the truck on the dirt road on the property, helping during irrigation with checking pipes.
I first saw Tony Rice in 1988. I was fortunate to see him numerous times before he had to quit singing. I loved his voice as well.
Tipper, I just love you and Matt…you’re such nice people! I will watch your videos as long as you post them…I love the girls too! So keep ‘em coming…I look forward to each and every one❤ you have a way of making us feel like we really are part of your family!
Thanks so much
I look forward to your channel. I check everyday and enjoy all that you share. The Q and A is especially interesting. Blessings🙏
Love that 😀
So nice to spend my time shuckin and freezing corn while I visit with y’all. ❤
Would love for y’all to continue with the Q&A. It is so relaxing listening to both of you. ❤
Your sweet girls show the best they were taught by their amazing parents
You are so kind-thank you 😀
Thank you for the video! I admire both of you for your common sense, love of family, work ethic, and love for God. Powerful…

Your both so well balanced together, God always knows who to match us up with. I love the questions and how generally you both answer them. May God Bless you and your family ❤️🙏❤️

Looking forward to Q&A part 3. I enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
I always loved tobtead n read to the little kids in the neighborhood
Your girls are so blessed!! Matt rubbing Corys legs when she was young made me tear up!! I heard my biological father tell my mom that he didn't want the responsibility of me anymore. I was about 6 or 7!!!! My stepfather was my Daddy!!!!!!!! I miss him so so much!!
I love listen to you both chat. Still reminds me of my mom and dad ❤
2 1/2 C Flour
1 C butter cubed and frozen
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp Salt
6-8 tablespoons ice cold water
Add flour, sugar and salt to a food processor and mix it. Add butter and mix it until it looks like corn meal. While running dribble in water just until it clumps, stop immediately. Take out and make two discs and wrap in plastic a refrigerate at least 1/2 hour or over night. Roll on a flour dusted board. This is for a 9 inch pie plate.
Filling
5 C blueberries and frozen is fine but don’t thaw.
2/3 C sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp minute tapioca
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
5-6 pats of butter
Add blueberry mixture to pie shell and top with butter.
Your friend,
Jennifer Gearhart
Sounds so good! Thank you 😃
Tony Rice is an Iconic figure in the bluegrass world Tipper, we all strive to be like him though most of us will never even come close
Yes, please answer more questions., y’all are so sweet together! How did you meet each other? What is your most favorite meal, dessert? Do you have any pets besides the hens?
I don’t live in Appalachia but many of my family do, I agree that the people, culture and the food are the best
Thank you 😀
Thank you so much!! I will pray for your husband!!
Find it very relaxing listening to you and Matt chatting about your everyday life . Questions I would not ask you myself but I enjoy your answers . Please do as many question and answer vids as you wish and I will tune in . This is far better than anything tv offers . May God continue to bless your family and home .
Tipper, pink looks really beautiful on you!
Oh thank you!
I love your continued ‘after that show is over’ conversation.
I really enjoy the Q&A's that you & the girls post. You all have brought great joy into my life since I've been watching your channels. I know that producing a you tube channel is a lot of work & I appreciate your dedication. Hugs! Praying for good news on Granny this week!
Thank you!!
I’d love a part 3. You both are adorable. Lovely couple and lovely family.
I REALLY LOVE YOU GUY'S, YOU ARE SOOOO REAL. STRAIGHT SOUTHERN COUNTRY. YOU MAKE ME MISS HOME SOOOO MUCH. IT CAN BE HARD TO WATCH YOU SOMETIMES. BE 'BLESSED 'ALWAYS 'IN 'CHRIST. 👑👑🕊📿🙏🦋❣. 7/18/2023. @ 7:31 PM.
Keep doing it Tipper, I agree how relaxed and wonderful I feel listening and watching your content, ❤
Growing up in Charlotte, I took drivers ed in summer school. We learned to drive a stick shift on a Volkswagen Beetle. The teacher was a football coach and he made us drive on Independence Blvd and I-85 which was scary for a new driver.
This was so good! Thanks! I froze corn and green beans the last two weeks, also squash.
Tipper and Matt , thank you so much for your videos. You all are such an inspiration. I live alone and look forward to you sharing your life. Thank you so much!
🌼wow I got to start watching earlier in the day cause when you two start meal planning and I'm watching at 2am you make me hungry !! 🌼
