    What resonated with me most is the guy admitting that he wasn’t mature enough to be a husband and I think that’s the issue in our community. A lot of people aren’t ready but do it anyway and then later down the line and get divorce and want to blame women for the divorce rate being high

My own marriage had significant hurdles, but with the right help, my wife and I overcame them and grew stronger. With effort and cooperation, solutions can be found. Married 15 years and unexpectedly asked for divorce by husband. We had no issues and he admits he guess he's running away from his responsibilities. Very selfish, I was heartbroken but quickly picked myself up and leaned on my faith. God removes people for reasons. I did question why so many times to God but then said why not. Its life , I moved out, filed for divorce myself and moving forward. I fought a good fight but this is what he wanted. Enough was enough of trying to reason. I wish him well.

      God never sent him to begin with. This is why you’re are supposed to FAST and pray and seek the Holy Spirit before getting married because divorce is actually a sin. According to the Bible once you’re married you’re bound until death. God said “why not”? 😂 God does not contradict Himself. His word says that he HATES divorce. If you think God went against his own word and gave you a pass to divorce you are sadly mistaken. When yall say yall hear from God is hilarious when it doesn’t align with scripture and when it doesn’t align with scripture it’s not God but satan that you are hearing from because God is not the author of confusion.
      Divorce
      Divorce is a sin and remarriage while the first spouse is living is adultery according to scripture
      Romans 7:2 a woman is bound to her husband til death
      Matthew 19:3-12 Jesus explains that from the beginning it was not so, can divorce only for fornication which committed by the single
      1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (Keep Your Marriage Vows)
      10Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. 11But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.
      Jeremiah 3:8 Israel backslid and committed spiritual adultery against the Lord
      Jeremiah 3:20 Divorce is treacherous
      Jeremiah 3:14 God is married to the backslider
      John 3:19 men’s deeds were evil
      Roman 8:1 free from the law of sin and death through Jesus Christ

      Ecclesiasticas (also known as the book of Sarrach) chapter 23: verse 22
      Thus shall it go also with the wife that leave her husband and bring in an heir by another, for First she hath disobeyed the law of the most high, and secondly she hath trespassed against her own husband and thirdly she hath played the whore in adultery and brought children by another man.
      Ecclesiasticas chapter 23: verse 18 a man that breakth wedlock saying thus in his heart “who see me? I am compass about with darkness, the walls cover me what he I to fear the most high will not remember my sins”.
      1 Corinthians 7:5 do not deprive your spouse of sex (less it be for prayer, fasting, menstrual cycle, medical condition)
      James 4:4 adulterers
      1 Corinthians 7:2 to avoid fornication
      1 Corinthians 2:28 but if you do marry you have not sinned and if a virgin married they have not sinned, but those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.

      Ecclesiasticus 26:23 a wicked woman is given as a portion to a wicked man; but a godly woman is given to him that feareth the Lord.

    Pete was spitting, when you asked “how a man is supposed to manage the responsibilities of husband” 👏🏽👏🏽 He gets it. it is integral for men to spend a good amount of their early adult hood, single, and focused on building themselves (mentally, physically, financially, etc). So they are already in good shape to take on role of a husband & he can actually view having a wife as a true benefit as a real partner to help him in life 💕

    You don’t have to take away yourself to be in a marriage. The problem is being selfish and know how to have respect for your partner and your vows to YOUR spouse. If everything you do you also think about the how it impacts your spouse you will not find yourself sleeping with other people, going to other people for advice, going outside of the marriage for comport…. Selfish people should NEVER get married. Childhood trauma and bitter parents, relatives, and friends will not have a healthy successful marriage. Loving this guy, Pete! ❤. Even with counseling you cannot do it without God. Counseling may get you to acknowledging the pain but God is going to give you the strength to deal with it. ❤️🙏🏽

    5 years of hell…. I just got out of a 35 year relationship; 28 year marriage. The first 20 years, HARD; the last 15 HELL! I did everything I could but die to save that marriage and had I stay in it with him the way he was; it would have lead to my demise. In the end he was trying to destroy me in every way but I know it came from his childhood trauma that he hasn’t dealt with and the toxic advice he was getting from his family, friends, coworkers, and jezebel lovers…. I had an entire clan all in him geared to destroy me. The devil knew he had to come strong because he knew I was a fighter. I had become dormant in terms of dealing with him because for my health I had to give him to God or the Devil; whichever one he chose to serve. When we divorced he had for sure chosen the Devil. People running from God just don’t understand how they are tormenting the people they are in relationships with. They are selfish so they can’t see it but I am sure plenty of people left this earth being tortured by someone else’s hell. 🙁❤️🙏🏽

    Recommendation: It would be easier on the eyes if both people were in view at the same time, rather than switching between speakers, and the camera feels too zoomed in on each person.

    Basically-if you’re buying into today’s pop culture-the role you’re expected to fulfill as a man is really just the support to the role women (especially Black women) have been filling for decades. When you ask HOW can a man get it all done with a degree of respectability… I would ask if you posed the same question when it was just a woman filling the role? NOW… give her the respect that she deserves and is LONG overdue.

      Why so they could be in fornication together. That man has admitted to willingly sin every 7-8months. And yall just glance over things constantly but say yall are people of the body. Yall all cap especially if yall still support that man, that’s why nobody really believes. Most Christians don’t even live like they believe. So why would a non believer

    I haven’t watched this video yet only the first few minutes and a thought came to me. So many men brag on women never being married knowing we should not initiate beg or give an ultimatum to become a wife. We simply have to just be with men that desire us in that way. Anyway, i notice they make fun and mock women that have never been married yet they don’t acknowledge how many times they have been divorced. Like having access to marriage doesn’t mean you have access to quality partner

    46:04 i wish he didn’t interrupt or interject here. guy was on the cusp of a pivotal moment of walking through the tension he/wife were experiencing & possibly how they navigated through that… which would have supported many who needed to understand for themselves/situation. he need praise/appreciation in *that* moment. & bro… he didn’t NEED or ASK to be saved. 😕

    • @TheHusbandTypePodcast
      @TheHusbandTypePodcast Місяць тому +1

      I see what you’re saying. It’s frustrating when someone interrupts a moment of deep, personal reflection that could’ve resonated with so many people going through similar struggles. Sometimes, what people need most is to feel heard and understood without being ‘saved’ from their vulnerability. However, I believe the interjection might have come from a place of wanting to help or offer support, even if it wasn’t the right timing. We all sometimes misstep in our attempts to help others, so giving grace in those moments could also be a teaching point for everyone involved.

    I appreciated the openness! Omg that "not maximized my talent and potential" speaks so much to me, which has been the challenge I've struggled until this day!!! Any recipe for that?

    • @TheHusbandTypePodcast
      @TheHusbandTypePodcast Місяць тому

      I appreciate you sharing that! It sounds like you’re resonating with the challenge of tapping into your full potential, which is something many of us face at different stages. One key recipe for this is to break free from comparison and focus on your unique path. Start by defining what ‘maximizing your potential’ means to you, and take small, consistent steps toward that vision daily. Surround yourself with people who push you forward, and don’t shy away from taking calculated risks that challenge your comfort zone. Your potential is there, but sometimes it’s waiting on you to step into unfamiliar spaces with confidence and faith.
      Keep nurturing your talents, even when it feels like progress is slow-because the small steps matter. You’re closer than you think!
