Ah yay, thank you for following along!!
Yay Welsh xx
I am indeed!!! 🏴
These are absolutely beautiful and love how you demonstrate the how to.
I have one question.
Does these coasters stick to your cup or glass when picked up? I have a problem with the ones I've made.
I do hope you respond to my question. ❤
Thank you so much! In answer to your question, I haven't found this to be an issue but I guess it would depend what you put on the coasters. The resin I've used is heat resistant so isn't affected by a mug with hot liquid inside it but it isn't suitable for anything from the oven or microwave.
I hope that helps? Xx
@@ResinRainbow thank you for taking the time to reply to my question.
It doesn't seem to matter what I place on the coasters, hot or cold, still the same. I was thinking maybe it is the resin I use.
What is the name of the resin you use?
@@sarahfortune1170the resin is use is from Just4youonlineuk. It's fab resin to work with and they have a range of resins for different purposes 😊
Hi Helen, this was a great video tutorial … really well presented! And they turned out beautifully.

Stunning coasters where to find the wonderful molds link please❤❤❤❤
Thank you! These moulds were from Let's Resin 😊
Que linda
❤❤❤❤❤
When you are finished is the resin slightly sticky like rubber? Can you describe what the finish is like with how it feels.
Hi. No it's shouldn't be sticky, it should feel completely smooth and shiny. Is this something you are finding with your makes?
@@ResinRainbow im just wondering about techniques since it would be for a controller for example. Something i would hold.
Hi. Can't I dry without dryer? ❤ Thanks a lot.
She didn’t use a dryer; she used a UV resin curing lamp. You can cure UV resin without the curing lamp by placing the coasters in sunlight. It will take hours rather than minutes to cure that way.
Hello. The design is made with UV resin which needs a UV light to dry or, as mentioned above, daylight but this will take longer.
You can do the design with epoxy resin you've allowed to thicken up or with a varnish as both will dry without a lamp.
Necesito esos moldes. Como lo compro,? Donde?
جميل جدا ممتاز❤❤❤ لو سمحت ان تضعي التر جمة تحياتي
Wt black colore u used is tht acrylic or Wt?
She used black resin pigment
Epoxy pigment paste
Where did you get molds and spreader brush?
Hi. The moulds were from Let's Resin and the silicone spreader brush was from Amazon 😊
@@ResinRainbow thank you
That is not true with the UV resin. The sun has uv rays also. If you're outside or in he sunlight your resin will start to harden. A uv light will harden it faster but don't think you have unlimited time to work with it.
No you're right, it's not unlimited time but it is a good working time when working indoors. In bright sunlight outside this would cure in 10 - 15 minutes and in natural cloudy light outside it would be 30 - 60 minutes but indoors would give you much longer. Sorry that wasn't specified in the video 😊
I did some research on UV resin. I’ve read it is not nearly as durable as epoxy. When a UC resin piece is put in the hot sun for a while it gets cracks. Don’t know if that is true but it has to be considered if you sell on outside markets.
Depends on how much you use. Even indoors there’ll be a film forming on top of the resin fairly quickly within a few minutes if the room is well lit during the day.
I'm thinking about using this technique and doing fireworks
Oooooh yes, what a fantastic idea! X
Awesome Jesus is great thank you Tara Jim wife

How is your uv resin outcome so glossy.. whenever I use uv lamp the outcome is very dull and lustreless. So I kind of dislike uv resin..
Mam you speaking very fast so we can't notedown raisin coaster mixing measurements.
I suggest you pause, reverse and forward again as many times as needed to make your notes.
Use the transcript. Check under more. It will be there.
Like the look but you talk to much!!!
They are pretty, but not that useful. They are obviously uneven, and a glass would wabble and possibly tip over. The next time, don't let your black get hard before adding the gold. Or put your gold design on the bottom and then add your black. You'll save a couple of steps. 😊
@jksmith818
Not only are your words insulting, and hateful, but they show your ignorance and arrogance as well. Everything you said is totally wrong, and even your unsolicited and arrogant advice is totally off base, so your rush to criticize, makes you look foolish. These coasters ARE in fact “useful”, and the coasters in fact have an even surface. She poured a top clear coat over the gold starburst to ensure they would be perfectly flat, so the “glass won’t wobble and tip over!”
Your suggestions are counter productive as well. If she hadn’t let the black dry, before adding the gold starburst design, the black and gold colors would have simply mixed themselves together because of their liquid state, and no gold starburst could have been designed, since it needs a hard and flat surface in order to make the design. Your second suggestion to “save a couple of steps” would have ended badly as well! If she had made the starburst first, and no matter if she had let the gold cure or not, the black would have covered up the design, so it wouldn’t show; or the black would have mixed with the gold paint, if not cured first, and all you would have is a mold full of wet gold and black paint, or a cured gold starburst covered up by black paint, so the starburst would not show at all, unless of course it was flipped over. Please think before you rush to criticize someone’s technique; especially since your bright ideas would have failed miserably. 🙄
Thank you for your comment. As @Kindley601 said, these do have a level surface due to the clear top coat I poured at the end. This is just one of many resin techniques out there but every time I have created it, it has produced a beautiful finish and I have never had any issues. I hope this helps 😊
@@Kindley601thank you so much for your support, it is really appreciated xx
