This is a brilliant project. I'm gathering supplies to make 124 Valentine's Day cards in the next 3 weeks, when I'm done, this is what I'll do to put things away. Thank you so much
Loved the idea of this journal, but right away I said "I don't have beautiful papers & wallpaper items like Nina's, there is no way I can collect enough items to make one that is as beautiful and full as hers!" Then I started hunting through my stash and I had to force myself to stop because otherwise I could make 3 or 4 of these journals. I'm working on making the cover now, hope to have something I can post tomorrow. Having fun! :)
What a neat idea. I’m a visual person too. If I walk by something or flip through something ideas pop in my head. If I store it away…it becomes out of sight out of mind.
So exciting to see all your scraps etc Nina, they are gorgeous. A friend of mine orders an annual subscription of House and Garden magazines for my birthday, and every month, I tear out lots of pages with beautiful images. It was my birthday last Wednesday, so I can't wait to receive my first magazine of this year. I save freebie cards I get in the post too. So I will be making a folder like yours as it's a great way of storing things isn't it. Thank you for sharing it with us. Have a great week, take care xx
Thanks Valerie, glad you enjoyed the video. House and Garden has some great images. I have a pile of Period Living magazines waiting to be culled for images. I am hoping this will keep me more organised and make everything easier to find. Hope you have fun making yours ❤️
This is just a brilliant idea. I love how all those bits and pieces are contained AND really easily accessible. Wonderful to be able to flip though all those papers by simply opening the book and without papers going everywhere. Folding larger papers into a book is a great way to manage the size of those wonderful but harder-to-store big pieces. I'm really looking forward to seeing this in action and the pages that are created in 2022. I find your work very inspirational. Love that you and Kylie are such a great ying and yang pair.
Thanks Deborah, I should have made one of these years ago as it’s far easier seeing my supplies together like this. It’s also very inspiring seeing all the beautiful patterns and colours. I would to dive right in 💕
Ps. Thanks for your kind words regarding Kylie and I. I think it works because we are Yang and Yang too. I the last couple of years since we have been collaborating, I don’t think we have done anything vaguely similar. We never discuss how we are going to interpret the prompts so it’s always a surprise for us too 💕
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create this Flowish journal and my goodness what a vast amount of stuff you have put together. Absolutely incredible Nina. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thank you for this video of the flowish folder! I'm absolutely going to make one for my scrap storage! I never would have thought of that in a organized fashion! Now I got to start collecting all of my scraps in my drawers lol. ❤️
Good golly! You certainly have a deep stash. For the record, I think you may live in a place where those kinds of beautiful items are every day acquisitions. I haven’t seen a decorative paper bag in years, every store in the US is fully committed to plastic, flimsy ugly one use plastic bags that decorate our ditches and trees. And your junk Mail is stunningly gorgeous too. Ours is pretty boring. I have learned to “shop” for papers and images at the Interstate rest areas where they have huge racks of beautiful pamphlets. So I am a little envious and yet I have PLENTY of things to put into a flow is h journal. I am inspired - when I travel I like to take supplies with me so I can make art as I go and this wil be a thing I can grab and go with without having to spend a lot of time deciding what to take. As always, hoping you are staying well and looking forward to the prompts for next year.
It is ridiculous the amount of stuff I have collected over the years. This would great for you to take on your travels for art on the go. Looking forward seeing your creations throughout this new year. Happy Creating 💕
Fabulous ! Your excitement at this new Journal is wonderful Nina . So looking forwards to following your creativity on this " Flowish " journey . Thank you for sharing . Kay x
I’m like a kid in a sweet shop aren’t I 😁. I should have made one of these years ago as it’s delightful seeing all these pretty things in one place 💕 x
Really enjoyed seeing how you've collected your bits and bobs and now for the drum roll of how to put it all together. So looking forward to your next episode.
I love the idea of this type of journal. I am trying to organize all my materials, too, so this is a possibility! It is helpful to hear you describe where you got all those lovely pieces. I need to be more mindful when I get packaging!
Wow Nina! What a lot in one place! And so much easier than sifting through all the papers in their drawers. Only trouble is, I'll end up emptying the drawers then have to find a space on the shelves! But I'm loving the idea; and I love Kylie's video as well - it's so nice to have two similar interpretations at the same time. It's been a lovely start to my day. Thank you. 💕
Oh Nina I love this idea! Such a great thing to organise bits and pieces. I have such a small crafting space this would really help sort out things I keep losing and forgetting about. Brilliant. thank you x
My Sunday mornings are complete again, a cup of coffee and you and Kylie! This is such an awesome idea. Love it! This is going to make putting this year's scrap journal together such a joy! Your Oreo time will be less and everything will be in one place. TFS. 🙏💐💌
I am definitely in the mood to get organized for the year, I have studio torn apart right now, trying to find the right configuration. While doing so, I have found or discovered things I stash away and then can’t find them so your video is very timely! While I love organization, I am not good at it! This method might help make sense of my hoarded stuff, thanks for the inspiration. Looking forward to the year ahead with MME!💕🇨🇦
It’s a nightmare trying to keep on top of things isn’t it. I should have made one of these years ago as I can already see the benefits of having it all organised like this 💕
I adore your flowish folder Nina, I made a small journal earlier this week and have been putting small collages in it. For my piles of papers for backgrounds, I definitely need to make a bigger folder. I found the cardboard, now I will search out a cover and probably use acetate for pockets since I have about a 100 8 1/2 by 11 pieces. I found them on sale for less than 2 dollars a pack of 50. Then I get to gather all my piles together. I am excited to have it all together. Thanks Nina, I hope you have an awesome week.
Thanks Debbie, I think this will be much easier to work with than having things in tubs and in various piles. Looking to be much more organised this year. Hope you have a wonderful week too 💕
I wish my junk mail was that pretty!!!! I have never seen so much different packaging either! Love this idea!!!!! I always struggle with the out of site out of mind!
I love the items you have gathered for this years challenges it will be interesting to see what you do with them. I now have to put my thinking cap on with regards to items to collect as I live in the middle of nowhere with no access to shops etc. I find it difficult when it comes to collecting items to use in my crafting/art works.
Thanks Katrina. I have decided to use scraps for this folder as I have so many of them, but you can fill yours within anything that inspires you, be it scrapbooking paper, or printables, or magazine images you may have collected. My theory is that it has to be something you enjoy creating with, otherwise you probably won’t use it 💕
omg!! I think this is going to be another great project. Just a suggestion - I bought big binders from the thrift shop (only 2$!!!!) and covered them with whatever is inside ie stamps I took some wrapping paper and stamped away and then covered the binder. This way I can see at a glance where my stamp binder is !! and you can take the mechanism out and replace with elastics. I have my stamps in presentation plastics so I can see and take them out! But I do like the idea of keeping all those big pages in an elastic. Great idea!!! I think some of my binders are about to lose their mechanism!!! Pockets on the cover is definitely the way to go! I keep my to file things in there! The mini photo albums with plastic inside are perfect to keep your die-cuts!! the steel ones for your Big SHot etc. I had one in my stash with 150 plastic pages from the 90's I use all the time. Another had both slots for CD's and plastic which fits the cutters perfectly. The plastic was much better quality than today!! Not all thrift stores sell the same things but it's a start! There are other cd cases with a zipper around it which is perfect for that! I have always enjoyed your videos and you will always be my inspiration! Thank you
You’ve shared some great ideas here. I’m have several empty photo albums in my cupboard and never thought to use them for craft storage. Off to dig them out 💕
Aw, so glad to have you back and full of the most fabulous ideas. This is such a wonderful idea, so many possibilities. I did wonder if perhaps an photograph album would be useful as their sleeves are usually transparent and of course you can see what you put in there unlike the concertina files. I've also used those plastic sleeves which go into a foolscap folder and they are brilliant too. Tfs xo
Hi Nina! came across your channel this morning and subscribed. Love your idea for organizing scraps. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed trying to keep everything together! Thank you! Hugs....
Hi Kath, welcome to my channel. I should have done this years ago as I’m always misplacing things. They look so pretty when they are together like this too, which is much more inspiring. Hope you will follow along with us this year 💕
Thank you Nina for all these wonderful ideas. I saw Kylie's video earlier and now yours and I am truly encouraged to make and fill my own folder but I am new to the world of junk journaling. Thanks for the tips!
Hi Pamela, I’m glad you are feeling encouraged to make a folder of your own. My junk journaling is very simply done, so I hope you will enjoy following along with us and giving a journal a try 💕
So good to ‘see’ you again ! What an amazing idea! Have decided to sort the ‘stuff’ first before I decide the size of the journal! Very inspiring - happy 2022 - off we go …………
Hi Maggie, Happy 2022 to you too. I should have made one of these years ago as it’s much easier having all my junk supplies together in one place like this. They look so pretty too 💕
Oh wow! That is so beautiful, I’m sure you must have some of the best scraps ever seen! Mine are rather pathetic and are currently kept in 3 x A4 plastic boxes. I do love your journal though so I will endeavour to have a go at one! xxx
It’s such a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing! I’m inspired to make one for my self. I made something similar but much smaller, for my fussy cuts and other small images. This one is great for storing larger papers. Your collection of papers is amazing, so beautiful. Love it 😊
Thank you so much. I have to say it’s much more inspiring seeing my papers together in this folder rather than scattered all over my craft room. Happy Creating ❤️
This is a great idea! I MUST make one...I've just made a bunch of origami dresses to use on cards and for other crafts. This would be perfect to store them! Love the laminator pouches! : )
I got a kick out of your nick names from your kids. My daughter once called me her "maternal parental unit" LOL. Kids are just too funny. I love this journal idea. I have stuff all over and it's less likely I will use it if I have to search for it. All in one place, great idea. Your folio came out beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely amazing love your flowish journal what a great way to store beautiful papers my problem I would want to hoard the papers 😊 even longer. Your papers are beautiful. Excited to see how you will use them with great ideals. I chuckled when you said the outside cover was annoying you 😂. Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️. Happy New Year 2022!
I started one a few years back to add in monthly pages for the Facebook group. I'm pulling it out again to add into. Hopefully this year I will fill it up!!!
I am almost ashamed of the amount of junk I have collected. It’s lovely seeing it all together in this folder though, so I’m ready to get going again 💕 x
Oh my word, you must of read my mind... I'm actually doing one of these right now, but I haven't gathered together things to go in it yet... That's the next task.... You have some fabulous things in yours as always 😊😊 I loved everything I think! 😂😂💕💕
I wish I’d done it years ago and I would like to make another for my painty scraps. So much easier when the papers are organised like this. Happy Creating 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia oooh that will be interesting to see what you come up with... The laminating pouch pockets were a really great idea... I have a couple of ideas of my own, just got to figure out the best way or see which works best 😊😊❤️
I prefer the bound in the cover version. It’s so hard to find things in an accordian file, it’s dark in there and there isn’t very much room to look through, i have to take everything out. It’s better to be able to page through and see exactly what is available.
Good morning nina, well this is a really "fat lady" ..so promising. What is she going to be filled with?? She is in good hands with you and we will admire her as she is going to be dressed. The pages are so diverse,, that will be a challenge. I am really glad, you are doing a journal again throughout the year, many fine sundaymorning moments for me. We are slowly coming out of our lockdown again and this morning the birds in the garden were singing, hope that 2022 is going to be a good year for all of us...love and hugs lenaxxx
Hello Lena, haha, she is rather on the chunky side isn’t she. I won’t actually be working in this journal and will keep it just as a supply folder to pull from for my next junk projects. Glad to hear you are coming out of lockdown and hopefully things will return to relative normal when the weather starts to get better. As you say, let’s hope 2022 is a good year for all of us. Have a wonderful week, love and hugs to you too 💕 xxx
Hi FaZe. There are 4 entry questions that you must answer for your request to join to be approved. I am assuming that this might be the reason why you are struggling? Let me know the name you are applying with and try again and I will look out for your request 💕
Hi, your videos are very nice, and I wish I could make this comment privately, but as I don't know how, I just hope it doesn't sound rude, but you volume is so high that it often startles me and I have to go quickly to the volume button to lower the sound. I am only pointing this out is because you may not realise that and I d rather let you know than just unsubscribe. Please don't take it personally it is just an observation!
Thank you for posting this comment. Someone else posted a comment s few months ago saying my videos were too loud so I reduced the volume on the next two and a lot of people complained that they were too quiet and they couldn’t hear me. I wonder what devise you are watching on and whether you use earphones. I always check the volume on my videos before I publish them and the volume sounds fine on my laptop phone, and iPad, but I do have to turn the volume down if I am wearing earphones. I would appreciate any further feedback you can share with me as I want the viewing experience to be pleasure able for everyone 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia thanks for your kind reply! Maybe there isn't much you can do about it. Unfortunately (for me) your videos are much louder them the average and it happens in All devices. Anyway if most people don't notice that, maybe the problem is, somehow, on my ending! No worries, keep up the good work ❣️🌼🎨😊
Thanks so much for responding. In my next video, I am going to experiment by setting the volume somewhere in the middle. In the early days of my channel I used to have the volume on the default setting and received many many complaints of people saying they couldn’t hear me, so since then I have always had it on the maximum setting. It’s been that way for 5 or so years and I haven’t received any negative feedback regarding the volume until the one I mentioned I received a couple of months ago and now yours. This makes me wonder whether iMove or UA-cam have altered their settings. I wonder if you would be so kind as to comment on my next video and let me know how it sounds to you. I would love to strike a balance that makes it pleasurable for everyone 💕

Hi Maggie, Happy 2022 to you too. I should have made one of these years ago as it’s much easier having all my junk supplies together in one place like this. They look so pretty too 💕
Great your back! thanks ! Great Journal!
Thanks Katharina. Looking forward to seeing your creativity again this year 💕
Look forward to seeing how you use everything 😊.x
Thanks Lynda. I find it very inspiring all together like this 💕 x
LOVE THIS!! WONDERFUL IDEAS!!
Love this! So many beautiful papers💕
Thanks Jenny. Hopefully this will keep me more organised this year and make my supplies more accessible as I am always losing things, haha 💕
Oh wow! That is so beautiful, I’m sure you must have some of the best scraps ever seen! Mine are rather pathetic and are currently kept in 3 x A4 plastic boxes. I do love your journal though so I will endeavour to have a go at one! xxx
It’s amazing how it look when you pull out the best bits. I bet you’ll be surprised with what you can pull together 💕
What a great way to organise your scrap’s! I will hopefully give it ago 💜🧚♀️
Thanks Purple Fairy. Wish I’d done it years ago 💕
Motherrrrr love it 👍 xx nice gathering of resources 👍
Haha, cheeky wotsit he is. Makes me chuckle 💕 xx
Your folder looks beautiful, and I'm looking forward to journalling with you during 2022! 😊❤️
Thank you, that’s great to hear 💕
It’s such a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing! I’m inspired to make one for my self. I made something similar but much smaller, for my fussy cuts and other small images. This one is great for storing larger papers. Your collection of papers is amazing, so beautiful. Love it 😊
Thank you so much. I have to say it’s much more inspiring seeing my papers together in this folder rather than scattered all over my craft room. Happy Creating ❤️
Wow this is a brilliant idea and what lovely things you have to use , I must save more,,, xxx ❤️ 🥰
Thanks Annie. They look beautiful grouped together like this which is very inspiring 💕 xxx
Great idea and very inspirational.
Thank you so much 💕
This is a great idea! I MUST make one...I've just made a bunch of origami dresses to use on cards and for other crafts. This would be perfect to store them! Love the laminator pouches! : )
Thanks Susan, I am finding this system so much easier 💕
This looks cool.
I definitely haven't got as many scraps, but I'll keep an eye out for some. Xxx
Thanks Trudy, hope this has given you some ideas for finding some. Homebase is a great resource for wallpaper samples 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia my Homebase is quite far and I don't drive. But I have got wallpaper samples from Wilkos before xxx
They sure do make you laugh don’t they ❤️
Absolutely amazing love your flowish journal what a great way to store beautiful papers my problem I would want to hoard the papers 😊 even longer. Your papers are beautiful. Excited to see how you will use them with great ideals. I chuckled when you said the outside cover was annoying you 😂. Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️. Happy New Year 2022!
Thanks April. I am trying desperately not to hoard things. It’s very inspiring seeing all the pretty papers together in one place like this ❤️
I started one a few years back to add in monthly pages for the Facebook group. I'm pulling it out again to add into. Hopefully this year I will fill it up!!!
Glad this has inspired you to pull yours out again 💕
This is very helpful! Thank you! 😊
This is amazing Nina!
Thanks Mel 💕 x
Absolutely brilliant, Nina! I had been thinking of doing something similar. Thankyou for showing this. Definitely worth trying.
Th is Veronica. I think this will work brilliantly for me 💕
Love this and thanks for all the great ideas!
Thanks so much Heather 💕
Wow! this is going to be an amazing journal! x😍
I am almost ashamed of the amount of junk I have collected. It’s lovely seeing it all together in this folder though, so I’m ready to get going again 💕 x
Thank you for sharing! 💕
Thanks for the fabulous pocket idea. Will definitely be making more of these ❤️
This looks very interesting to start with
Thanks Sherry. It’s so inspiring seeing the supplies together like this 💕
You are so inspirational!!!
Thanks so much Janet 💕
Wonderful!
Thank you 💕
Great Ideas.
Thanks Lucy. I love the way the papers look together 💕
Beautiful 🥰
Thank you so much 💕
Oh my word, you must of read my mind...
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I also want yo make an ephemera folder too, so like you said if you can see it you can use it much easier! Enjoy your week 😊😊❤️
I’m working on that today and have a couple of ideas ❤️
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia oooh that will be interesting to see what you come up with... The laminating pouch pockets were a really great idea... I have a couple of ideas of my own, just got to figure out the best way or see which works best 😊😊❤️
Thank you :)
New subbing and member. Loving it :)
Th is so much for subbing Kerri. Glad you are enjoying it 💕
Love it all!!!!😝🎀💕❣️❤️🌞
Thanks Jane. It made me realise how much stuff I have collected seeing it like this 😮💕
Fantastic! I already had the journal put together, I was just waiting for this time. Looking forward to this. Thanks for sharing. *Debbie*
Thanks Debbie, I am looking forward to this years crafting too 💕
I prefer the bound in the cover version. It’s so hard to find things in an accordian file, it’s dark in there and there isn’t very much room to look through, i have to take everything out. It’s better to be able to page through and see exactly what is available.
I like this method, and I think it will work very well for me this year. I love being able to see things at a glance 💕
Sorry I'm off topic but I'm having an awful time trying to sign up for your Facebook group I'm very willing but I'm having a terrible time thank you
Hi FaZe. There are 4 entry questions that you must answer for your request to join to be approved. I am assuming that this might be the reason why you are struggling? Let me know the name you are applying with and try again and I will look out for your request 💕
👍✌️🙏❤️
❤️
I don't believe you gave the measurements for your journal?
Mine measures 9” wide x 10 1/2” high with a 2” spine.
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia thank you! Mine is a bit longer, not as wide but I think it's going to work.
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I get you often in my feed, but I will switch on notification until your next video and so I can give you some feedback 👍👍👍
