I was skeptical when they retired Wishes, but in January we took a trip to Disney and we got to see Happily Ever After for the first time. All I can say is, this video makes it look so incredibly magical, and yet the video doesn't even do it justice. It truly is a life shaking experience the first time you witness it in person. My only slight issue is that the castle is incorporated so much into the show that if you can't see it, you're missing half the show.
Hunter Mirr pretty much why I try my best to guarantee that I'm front and center every time I watch it. Stood in the rain 45 minutes on Saturday to be there. Don't usually get there that early though. Usually about 20 minutes before show time.
One of the highlights of my trip was that while the fireworks were going, a lot of people were going on rides due to shorter lines. I went on Big Thunder a couple times then sat down on a bench in Liberty Square to watch the fireworks. The highlight was these 2 girls, maybe 7 or 8 years old who were nearby. There wasn't enough room on Main Street for them to see the castle, but from where they were they could still see the fireworks and hear the music. They both were just in awe, dancing and jumping around, singing along with some of the songs. It was better than the fireworks, watching these two strangers just having the time of their lives.
I highly recommend seeing the show from the front of the castle. We arrived late and was stuck on the side of the castle. It was still amazing, but the fireworks are meant to be behind the castle and we got a view of fireworks on the side and couldn't really see the characters come out in the front.
H M so last January it was brand new? We were there first time ever Jan 2018 so we got to see something brand new? If so that was even better. It was 20 years together anniversary.
We went last week for the first time. I was blown away by this. We caught it from a bridge the forst time by accident, really. Took my kid back the next night to watch it from the front. It truly is magical to see this. I’ve watched it on here at least once a day since I got back. It brings me to tears every time.
Just came here from the Enchantment live stream... Happily Ever After is so much better- the score, the projections- it just has an energy that Enchantment doesn't. I hope they bring this beautiful show back once the 50th celebration is over.
I hope so too. I personally never got to see it in person, only UA-cam, but I love Happily Ever After so much and I am so sad that if they won‘t bring it back after the 50th is over, I won‘t ever get to see it🥲
Makes me cry every time. So glad Hunchback and Hercules are getting a spotlight!!!! The Hercules part from Go the Distance was so impressive, and the Tinker Bell reveal was AMAZING!!!
I'm gonna be honest. I saw this in person and since then I've probably rewatched this video eight times and cried every time. I've only seen two shows on the castle but this is by far the best.
Drew Horne I was there in 2009 for wishes, but I was pretty young so I don’t really remember it. My high school fine arts department went in February this year and this was our last night in the park and my jaw literally dropped when the castle changed and we all were singing along and crying the entire time this show was sooooooooo amazing!
'Wishes' was about conjuring your dreams while 'Happily Ever After' is about summoning up the courage to purse them... I think the story is pretty clear actually and I was one of Wishes biggest fans... Well Done Imagineering!
I love that you can hear the audience cheer so much. You feel all the love people share for these characters and the songs. Stuff like this is what makes Disneyland and Disney World such an experience.
Courtney C. I was there 2 weeks ago (for my birthday gift) and when he came, I started tearing up and cried, he was my main part of my childhood. I was happy and sad to see him there
Yeah, same here. He was one of the best actors in the world. I mean, I couldn't even watch Aladdin for three weeks after he died, because I knew even just at the first words out of Genie's mouth, I'd be crying.
The moment where Tinker Bell appears to the "You Can Fly" build up is one of the best reveals... EVER! And makes way for the grand finale the show deserves.
I’m telling you, the amount of people including myself I’ve seen crying exiting the park really does go to show how this spectacular captures people’s hearts. Disney knows how to do it, nobody will ever know how that feels unless you’re standing right there seeing it for yourself. It does something to you, it’s unexplainable yet such a magical feeling. Thank you, Disney. ❤️😭
They won’t as long they drop their far left wing activism and entertain kids not indoctrinate with far left work ideology coz the stuff they’re putting out is just woke garbage
I've NEVER seen the Hunchback of Notre Dame, but man that section gave chills. Never heard that song before in my life, but the emotional pull of the music mixed with the animation made me tear up. DISNEY NEVER FAILS.
Yes it is a very good film. I have to say, the villain in the film takes the prize for the most evil villain. Post back after you watch it. I also enjoyed watching the clip from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in this fireworks show. The animation blended smoothly with Cinderella's castle.
IT IS MY FAVORITE DISNEY MOVIE AND MOVIE OF ALL TIME! i am so happy that they included it in here because you never ever see it in the park anywhere else. To be honest, they changed the song very slightly and it seems less emotional than it really is. WATCH IT ASAP PLEASE
You absolutely need to!! It is, in my opinion the best Disney film ever made. Or at the very least, it has the best music/songs out of all of them. I almost cried hearing all of those people cheering during the song in this video. It warms my heart to see that people still remember and appreciate this very underrated film.
The moment those first few notes of Go The Distance hits and the crowd erupted. That was literally me sat in my chair at home. I stood up and CHEERED. Even if it was just those bars I'd have been on board. But the whole damn song. Gah. YES! YES! YES! Love this, and thats from a steadfast Wishes fan who was prepared to hate HEA on principle alone.
I don't understand how people don't like this show. I watched it live last week and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Way more exciting than Wishes, even though it was a classic. Happily Ever After showcases what Disney means to kids these days because of all the current characters in it. There's nothing like seeing your favorite character in a show like this. It was time for Disney to make the change, and the kids who see this now will have the same precious memories all of you guys who are obsessing over Wishes had in your childhoods. So don't worry about Disney losing any of its magic. In my opinion, this show is the essence of the word.
art vandelay well I do understand that a lot of hard work was put into this but this wasn't really the best thing they've done since Fantasmic and Wishes
catherine I know right we need to try watching this, even though we missed Wishes. This show has a more excitement and has more of movies put into it. Even the movies that arent that well known get a spot. This show, is what i can call a real masterpiece.
@@TexasToastyToast because there's a difference between genuinely thinking Wishes was a better show, and being stuck on Wishes because of nostalgia. Her comment was aimed at the latter. And quite frankly, I agree with her. If your opinion is the former, you genuinely think Wishes was a better show. That's your opinion, I respectfully disagree. But it's your opinion. However, if you belong in the latter category, you have obviously put blinders on, and you're not giving Happily Ever After a fair shake. And you should be called out on it.
Sorcerer SMC agreed I watched the Last wishes and saw happily ever after the night before we left and for me it’s wishes , this doesn’t bring the same emotions , but obviously it’s down to personal preference, this is great it’s just not wishes 😂
I saw this in person almost 2 years ago... I can't put into words what this show did to my boyfriend and I. We stood there, hand in hand, tears running down our cheeks. We were so touched with this show... it's by far the best firework show Disney has ever done. It not only made us laugh, cry, and cheer - but it took us back to our childhood and made us believe in the MAGIC of Disney all over again. "Happily Ever After" will be our theme to our wedding one day because of how much it touched our hearts. I'm going back to Disney World in a month, this time with my 10 year old godson and I can't wait to have him see this show. I know he's going to absolutely love it! I'm crying just thinking about it!
the person that screams "OLAF" really loudly cracks me up. But I went to WDW recently and seeing it live was awesome. Everyone in the crowd was clapping and cheering like they were in this video. Also, the crowd that was there when I seen it all left teary eyed, including myself. The show is awesome and inspirational.
My daughter and I just went to Disney last weekend just to see this show one last time. Because of this video we both screamed “OLAF” when he appeared. Needless to say we got some strange looks. But we knew why.
This show is easily my favorite. I got to propose to my fiancée at magic kingdom back in March and we watched happily ever after together that night in the park. That was something I’ll never forget. They also played what will be our first dance song in the show so of course it made the show even more spectacular. Disney is just amazing!
HEA is coming back!… well 2.0. I’ve heard it’ll be very similar but add the projections on Main Street too. I hope it’s almost identical tho bc this was the most amazing show I’ve ever seen
When I saw this in person a few days ago I honestly started full on sobbing when they played You'll Be In My Heart and I See The Light back-to-back. One of the most beautiful things I'd ever witnessed and I've always held those songs close to home. I'll never forget that
Forever the best video of HEA. Not only the show, but hearing everyone’s reactions to seeing this for the first time actually gives me goosebumps & makes me cry every single time. God help me the day I finally see this in person
My husband and I are going through infertility, and we decided every year on our anniversary of trying to have children we would book a Disney trip. Every time I see this I feel so hopeful and empowered as a woman, and am reminded that I can find my fulfillment and happiness whether I ever become a mother or not, I just can’t help but cry happy tears every time I see this show!
When moana sings it calls me. I balled my eyes out wanting to be in Disney! Its truly the most magical and happiest place for me and I hope soon this world gets back to normal and Disney can reopen. I really need a Disney Trip right now ❤❤❤❤
This show made me sob the biggest happy tears both in person and through the internet 😭😄. Thank you Walt for creating this amazing company and for making millions of people happy and joyful daily. RIP Walt Disney❤
Nothing beats this original opening night performance. Not even the re-debut after Disney Enchantment. This recording so captures the crowd's energy. No one knew what to expect. Some even expected to be disappointed but happily ever after didn't disappoint. It thrilled emotionally while elevating Disney fireworks to a new level. It literally was an instant success. Just listen to the crowds reaction in this show, it's genuine. Nobody knew what was going to happen. All the cheers are in responses to things they are seeing for the very first time. The joy was palpable and indeed they all lived happily ever after.
Omg I FREAKING LOVE DISNEY I went this past December and I watch the happily ever after show and at the end of it I started to cry and I couldn’t stop.
I’ve seen this show so many times, and my favorite part is watching everyone who has never seen it just light up. Young and old. This crowd brought that feeling to me, and absolutely made my day. ♥️
We just returned from our Disney vacation and I have to say this was THE highlight of the trip for me. This show, in person, is spectacular! I love that it featured older and new characters. Absolute perfection!
there is absolutely nothing that compares to this show. i saw it three times on the same trip. my family wanted to use their time to do other things and i forced them to come with me bc i wasn’t sure when i would get to come back. i sobbed every single time. it means so much to me.
Like Rachel C. I came to this video after watching Enchantment video.... I didn't realize that this was filmed in the first year of the show.. . Just listen to the cheers of delight from the crowd... They are spellbound... that says it all!! Thanks for this video!!
I saw this in person on Thursday, didn't know what to expect, and the Hunchback portion DESTROYEEED me. I love that film so much and that bit was so magical. I was actually shaking 😂
I cannot believe that Disney put all of my favorites in one show. I love Moana, Lion King, Tangled, Frozen, Tarzan, Little mermaid, Aladdin, Mulan, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hercules, and so more It is so amazing. I cannot wait to go see it live when I go in 2018 sometime.
This is without a doubt the best display Disney has ever had. Grateful to have seen in 4 times before the plandemic. The 50th anniversary one, Enchantment is incredibly subpar. Saw it a few weeks ago and the wife and I looked at each other and thought the same thing, Happily Ever After was 100x better. Hope they bring it back.
@@cassidysandelin4648 every show is better in person than watching it on the internet however personally I think Disney have been a let down on the enchantment show and is not up to the insanely high Disney standards. HEA was something else.
@@notinterestedx I totally agree with you! HEA was on a different caliber and I'm so glad they are bringing it back. I don't wanna be picky when it comes to firework shows simply just because I love fireworks, but id much rather see HEA any day!
@@cassidysandelin4648 don’t get me wrong, enchantment is good however HEA is(in my opinion) the best show that Disney have ever created. i love the song and think it fits so well. are they bringing it back? is enchantment only a 50th anniversary thing? i hope so..
@@notinterestedxYeah I agree. Enchantment wasn't horrible, but I definitely like HEA much more. I remember going as a kid and it only being just the fireworks and nothing on the castle. I’m a grown man and this show brought me to tears, I watched it for the first time last month and all I can say is how amazing it is the first time you see it and have no idea what’s about to happen. I absolutely loved it and this video is so good but live doesn’t even compare.
I was there last night and honestly words can't even begin to describe how beautiful this show is in person! I literally teared up so many times, especially at You'll Be in My Heart coz its one if my favourite Disney songs ever and I'm so happy they acknowledged it this time
To those commenting about it being disjointed: the story is pretty clear. It is the hero's journey, the story each of us is writing as we live our lives. Achieving one's dreams through hard work, the support of loved ones, vision, and perseverance against evil. And the importance of staying true to who you are and remembering who you are when you lose your way. I can't thank Disney enough for filling my childhood with a message of common purpose, hope, and love. Anyone can wish upon a star. But it is up to you to make those wishes come true.
the details put into this show, the cheers and atmosphere of the crowd... I tear up every time I watch this, it brings me back to the time I was actually there... god it's just so magical, the most spectacular Disney fireworks ever
I caught this show live back in 2018, and I can say without a single doubt it’s hands down the best show on planet Earth. It’ll blow your mind-you just can’t believe what you’re seeing. The projections on the castle and the fireworks are so surreal, it’s like they’re straight out of a dream. Honestly, this show alone makes the pricey park ticket totally worth it. I really hope everyone gets the chance to see it at least once in their lives! 🎆🎆🎆
disney is going to have such a hard time topping this show. i cry every time i watch it. you can just hear how excited the crowd gets when their favorite characters show up and i don't think enchantment has the same effect. hea just brought so many emotions together and it was a beautiful show. it will be greatly missed. i hope they bring it back after the 50th is over
I was thinking they said it was coming back at the end of the 50th celebration so March 31st should be the end and April 1st should be the restart of HEA if all goes well, but with Disney u can never count on anything for 100% certainly, but I hope so for you!
I just got engaged to these fireworks on 6/1/19 after eating dinner at the California grill. Will always have a special place in my heart for this show!
I was sad to see wishes go, but Disney has out done themselves with happily ever after!!! This is just amazing and I am in tears. To bad I have to wait till Nov 2018 to see this in person.
This was such an amazing show, for a plethora of reasons. No hate toward Wishes as it too was an amazing show, but I felt so much more connected to the narrative here, which I believe each song chosen matched with beautifully. Starting with Princess and the Frog, Little Mermaid, and Hunchback (!!) it maps the beginning to finding your "happily ever after", having a wish and a dream. Then you move right into Brave and Moana, which both emphasize finding the drive and courage to chase those dreams. So how do you find that drive and bravery? You move right into the next portion of the show, which highlights having the love and support of friends, family, or a significant other (Genie/Aladdin, ToyStory, Lion King, Tarzan, Jungle Book, Zootopia, Wreck it Ralph, Big Hero 6, Tangled, Frozen, etc.) to help you reach your dreams, and how they in turn become a part of what makes your 'happily ever after'. The next portion beginning with Mulan and the following villain sequences focus on the importance of resilience and fighting against adversity to protect your loved ones and your dreams. Mufasa's portion of 'remember who you are' serves as the push to continue on when you feel like giving up, when you feel like you can't achieve what you set out to accomplish, or if you feel lost and afraid. 'I can go the distance' is when we do remember who we are and we find the confidence and the motivation inside to persevere, no matter what. It was a wonderful message that was beautifully executed, and I love the nod to other Disney titles that don't always get much of a platform/appearance in the parks (Hunchback, Tarzan, Mulan, Hercules, etc.). Also, with the addition of newer titles like Brave, Tangled, Moana, you're connecting with a new Disney fan base (hell, just listen to the reactions when those scenes come up), and those titles for them are oftentimes their first introduction to Disney, thus they connect with them heavily. I love the new titles, but Aladdin, Lion King, and others hold a special place in my heart, just like Snow White, Cinderella, Pinocchio, etc are special to a different generation. I think Disney is simply recognizing the fact that there is a new generation of Disney lovers, ones that are growing up with a much more diversified cast of characters that they can relate to more. Also, the projections and lights and the whole lot are improving and being added as technologies advance, to further the way in which Disney tells their narrative, and I have no doubt they will continue to add and improve upon these technologies as time goes on. I just don't get why people are sooo bitter to this show who can't see it and enjoy it for what it is and what it represents to those of us growing up with these particular movies and songs.
You absolutely perfectly summed up my feelings about this show. I saw it for the first time last week when I finally visited WDW and I just kept crying because of how beautiful the show and message was. It's such a universal message that can apply to anyone (I definitely felt it applied to me right now, even as an adult). Enhanced by music we all know and love, mixed with those gorgeous visuals, it's pure magic and so inspirational. Probably the most memorable part of my trip
My favorite part has to be when the castle is destroyed, it shows in how horrible evil can truly be against the things we believe in. But then! We see mufasa's spirit appearing and reminding us that we can be much more than we think, that we can be so much stronger than evil, and so each part of the castle slowly starts to rebuild, showing us that it doesn't matter when things get bad... there will always be hope for us to keep getting up and fight for good.
Universal can have Harry Potter and the new Hagrid ride. They will NEVER be able to replicate a show to this level filled with as much emotion as this. First time seeing this I hated it simply because I grew up with wishes. Just got home from my most recent trip and can’t stop blasting the soundtrack. Was teary eyed and with chills watching this in the park. Best parts are out there and the whole “friendship” section by far. Disney never fails to amaze

Am I the only one who's tearing up? Hunchback is one of my favorite Disney films so seeing Out There featured was amazing. 😍
I SCREAMED AND CRIED OK!?! I WAS SO HAPPY THEY FINALLY GAVE THE HUNCHBACK A SPOT IN THE LIGHT!!! BOUT DAM TIME!!!
I cried and my grand daughter was looking at me like something was wrong :)
I would love to see Esmeralda or Megara in the parks!
LifeOnCloud8 This actually sounds like a new recording of "Out There" with Tom Hulce reprising his part. Amazing, he sounds like he hasn't aged much.
so glad to hear Tom Hulce reprised his role!!!

Just came here from the Enchantment live stream... Happily Ever After is so much better- the score, the projections- it just has an energy that Enchantment doesn't. I hope they bring this beautiful show back once the 50th celebration is over.
I really hope so too because Im currently living with the regret that I never got to see HEA in person
I hope so too. I personally never got to see it in person, only UA-cam, but I love Happily Ever After so much and I am so sad that if they won‘t bring it back after the 50th is over, I won‘t ever get to see it🥲
i hope they bring it back cuz its the best show ever
@@LOLWAAHH I got to see it this summer in July. I wish they didnt change it.
Agreed, Enchantment feels like it was rushed to be made and I hope it doesn’t last because it really lacks the magic that this and Wishes had
I'm sobbing

Yeah, so beautiful knowing Disney shots so much CO2 in air, while pretending to do something to stop climate change

I'm not sobbing, you're sobbing! ;)
Yes, me too.
Makes me cry every time. So glad Hunchback and Hercules are getting a spotlight!!!! The Hercules part from Go the Distance was so impressive, and the Tinker Bell reveal was AMAZING!!!

10:27 Damn you Disney for making me cry. Tarzan was my first Disney movie and my mom always used to sing "You'll Be In My Heart" to me as a baby
Nick94956 omg same!!!! I thought I was the only one Tarzan is so underrated🤦♀️
I rlly get chills when Mufasa is talking and "Go the Distance" starts playing. That is good shit.
Best part ever! :')
That's honestly the one part that makes me tear up or cry every time. Probably my favorite moment.
Good? You mean GREAT shit... :-)
Had to come watch this real quick after experiencing the tragedy that is Enchantment.

I'm gonna be honest. I saw this in person and since then I've probably rewatched this video eight times and cried every time. I've only seen two shows on the castle but this is by far the best.
kt B same I've seen this in person and I wanna go back so bad.

'Wishes' was about conjuring your dreams while 'Happily Ever After' is
about summoning up the courage to purse them... I think the story is
pretty clear actually and I was one of Wishes biggest fans... Well Done

these comments about people just tearing up while i’m sobbing
I can't hear robin williams voice without a tear passing
I know. And it's really his voice. It's so magical.
I like to think the part where it pauses for just a second with his character and "applause" was a bit of a nod to him because he really is so loved
I teared up, cuz I was scared that they we'rent going to have his voice, and then u hear it... ❤️😢 Made me cry
The moment where Tinker Bell appears to the "You Can Fly" build up is one of the best reveals... EVER! And makes way for the grand finale the show deserves.

Yeah I saw this show live and when that happened I cried
I also love how the trees sparkle when she passes them! You can’t see it in the video, but it’s amazing in real life.
Hearing the crowd cheering loudly for Moana and singing along to "How Far I'll Go" warmed my PacIslander heart. 💕🌴🌺☀️
That's the part that make me cry
Moana is my favorite Disney movie of the decade. Hearing the audience share my love for it like this felt amazing.

I've NEVER seen the Hunchback of Notre Dame, but man that section gave chills. Never heard that song before in my life, but the emotional pull of the music mixed with the animation made me tear up. DISNEY NEVER FAILS.
You should definitely see it! It's one of Disney's best.
definitely a good one.
J Gordon That's exactly how I was when I heard Out there.
SAME! I was belting Go the Distance from home. And the Key change mid-way through!!! Perfect
J Gordon especially with James Earl Jones of all people speaking during it!!
The opening iconic notes from Go the Distance gets me every time. Instant, glorious and emotional goosebumps - love it.
how were you able to sing??? I was too busy with Schweitzer Falls running down my face lol
@@TexasToastyToast good to know. I still stand by my comment though. However, I intend no hostilities in it or towards you. *hat tip*

This show is easily my favorite. I got to propose to my fiancée at magic kingdom back in March and we watched happily ever after together that night in the park. That was something I’ll never forget. Robin Williams was the voice of the Genie in the original animated version of “Aladdin”, and now, Will Smith did the Genie in the live action remake.

I'm hoping the new show only lasts the 18 months (or less if possible) and they bring back HEA. My heart is being ripped out that its gone.
It’s coming back❤️❤️❤️
Omg I FREAKING LOVE DISNEY I went this past December and I watch the happily ever after show and at the end of it I started to cry and I couldn’t stop.

I can agree! My mom and I said Enchantment was better in person than watching it on the internet, but Happily Ever After was 100 times better
@@cassidysandelin4648 every show is better in person than watching it on the internet however personally I think Disney have been a let down on the enchantment show and is not up to the insanely high Disney standards. HEA was something else.

I went there the day right before it closed, I was so sad but... fulfilled?

I miss this. So much.

Hearing the little “yay” in the beginning is so my heart every time I watch this show and this video
100%

@Most Heinous Gamer ! I go to Magic Kingdom on April 1st hopefully it’s back by then😭
I was thinking they said it was coming back at the end of the 50th celebration so March 31st should be the end and April 1st should be the restart of HEA if all goes well, but with Disney u can never count on anything for 100% certainly, but I hope so for you!

I was sad to see wishes go, but Disney has out done themselves with happily ever after!!! This is just amazing and I am in tears. To bad I have to wait till Nov 2018 to see this in person.
Osa Thompson did you see it?
Jessica Marsella 1 of my fave comments on this, you have my appreciation
You absolutely perfectly summed up my feelings about this show. I saw it for the first time last week when I finally visited WDW and I just kept crying because of how beautiful the show and message was. It's such a universal message that can apply to anyone (I definitely felt it applied to me right now, even as an adult). Enhanced by music we all know and love, mixed with those gorgeous visuals, it's pure magic and so inspirational. Probably the most memorable part of my trip
I totally agree
I hope the world goes back to normal so i can experience this again🥺
My favorite part has to be when the castle is destroyed, it shows in how horrible evil can truly be against the things we believe in. But then! We see mufasa's spirit appearing and reminding us that we can be much more than we think, that we can be so much stronger than evil, and so each part of the castle slowly starts to rebuild, showing us that it doesn't matter when things get bad... there will always be hope for us to keep getting up and fight for good.
That's song is awesome!!!! I played the guitar ua-cam.com/video/hT5z0c7xpEY/v-deo.html
