His own Brother testified Against him & he nor their father have had Anything to do with him since the trial Nor have they spoken to that so-called mother since. He was Not & neither was She. She who worked hard to cover it all up. The crown put forth that he went back. In total he couldn't account for 3 hours. The police didn't know what time Jodi was attacked or died when speaking to him that night yet his false alibi was for that exact time frame of her death. What a Very telling Coincidence. Luke was Not home in that time frame of 5 to 5.30 & so, did not know if his brother was or not. Luke had left to meet Jodi before his brother got home from work. They reeled that poor lad into it the Next Day when the mother had sobered up. Their statements changed every time the cops went back to tell them info they found out, didn't match. They changed the alibi 3 times within the 1st week. Lean & Forbes have Never told that Fact. Jodi's grandmother, her sister & boyfriend realised they'd repeated to the cops what Luke had Told Them about the actions of the dog & so they amended their statement about that detail, that was All. Now I see that Lean has a big banner & posters as her next hoodwinking ploy, "MIA FOUND HER". The dog did Not climb over & through the V in the wall & so into the woods, ONLY Luke DID. It was proven that his torch did Not have the scope to have seen the body which was behind a big log & amongst bushes - on that pitch dark, rainy, starless night, At All. Lean always uses the wording of 'case papers' to Pretend that she had all the documents & all the statements from the trial, she does Not & Never has. She had paperwork from his defence lawyer for the appeal process from way back at that time, Nothing else. Over 40 police & seasoned investigators worked this case very carefully for a Long time. The police did an Excellent job to put that scumbag degenerate child killer Exactly where he needs to be.

It totally amazes me that the forensic experts didn’t ever mention that Jodi wasn’t killed where she was found. Apart from the fact that this case has made me lose all trust in the police, I will never be able to trust what forensic experts say. I also believe that the Jones family know who the killer really is.

Novelists, historians, journalists do this all the time but not acceptable on its own for a court ruling. Information perhaps to lead to a not proven verdict but not acceptable as evidence to lead to a guilty verdict in the absence of primary evidence, forensic evidence, expert evidence etc.

I played a game of pool with luke the day after he got sentenced, in polmont. He beat me and we shook hands. Just like the judge, i found his silence and lack of emotion to be a sign of guilt. Just watched Ch5 doc which brought me here. Stunned beyond belief that Luke was convicted. Where is the evidence??? Secondly the treatment of him and his mother by the press and police is just disgusting. I truly hope his mother gets to see him free and has somewhere safe to live. 🙏

As he states, he based his opinion on pod casts, the tv show, snippets from the appeals and social media. Not on the full case papers and trial. An opinion that won't get Luke out of prison. Where do things stand with getting another appeal and samples tested?

Good work guys. In the early 2000s I was considered goth-adjacent. In my neck of the woods we were all lumped in together as "moshers", basically anybody who didn't conform to the fashion of the time of wearing tacksuits. Long hair, dark clothes etc. It seems this perception was pretty widespread at the time. We also need to remember this wasn't long after Columbine in the US. It was exactly around this time an actual goth friend of mine was called into the Princial's office and quizzed about his wearing a black trenchcoat. They asked him if he was doing okay and had any plans for the school. The kicker is that the Columbine shooters were the farthest thing from an all-black wearing goth. People all over the world were paranoid of kids who looked any bit different.

Why not create a correctly worded letter with specific points spoken of on all these videos, that can be downloaded or sent by email on request where persons own details and signature can be added by all interested parties and be posted to their local politicians. if Luke had support I'm certain this support has grown considerably in recent years, and many more than 25,000 would take up the chance to lift this load from a lad who's lost so much.

Shotts is stacked to the ceilings with nude magazines and most of the the staff read them when the cells are searched as opposed to looking for real contraband. I’m going to guess that there are a set of procedures to be followed when police tip up to a murder scene so as to preserve the integrity of the evidence..................I’d love to know what the police thinking was behind moving Jodi’s body because it would have to be something very serious to even consider moving a dead body at a crime scene!

Going to play devils advocate here. But this is disappointing. I was expecting something different, but it really is much of the same from other podcasts these 2 have done. What I also find extremely disappointing, that they continue to ignore much of the evidance that convicted Luke in the first place. Especially his alibi. His jacket, his knife as well as much more. To simply say, he never owned such items , is not good enough. I would also like to know how any new forensic evidance, that would be classed as circumstancal would solve an already solved case? Farther, I would also like to know/interpret the scottish criminal commission reasons for refusal at the last appeal, which if I'm not mistaken, was based around the forensic evidance. If what these 2 say, is a sure thing, then why are we still here? Why has no proper legal team bothered to take this on, also if I'm also not mistaken other MOJ organisations have looked at it, but took things no farther.

In the early 2000s I was considered goth-adjacent. In my neck of the woods we were all lumped in together as "moshers", basically anybody who didn't conform to the fashion of the time of wearing tacksuits. Long hair, dark clothes etc. It seems this perception was pretty widespread at the time. We also need to remember this wasn't long after Columbine in the US. It was exactly around this time an actual goth friend of mine was called into the Princial's office and quizzed about his wearing a black trenchcoat. They asked him if he was doing okay and had any plans for the school. The kicker is that the Columbine shooters were the farthest thing from an all-black wearing goth. What a Very telling Coincidence. Luke was Not home in that time frame of 5 to 5.30 & so, did not know if his brother was or not. Luke had left to meet Jodi before his brother got home from work. They reeled that poor lad into it the Next Day when the mother had sobered up. Their statements changed every time the cops went back to tell them info they found out, didn't match. They changed the alibi 3 times within the 1st week. Lean & Forbes have Never told that Fact. Jodi's grandmother, her sister & boyfriend realised they'd repeated to the cops what Luke had Told Them about the actions of the dog & so they amended their statement about that detail, that was All. Now I see that Lean has a big banner & posters as her next hoodwinking ploy, "MIA FOUND HER". The dog did Not climb over & through the V in the wall & so into the woods, ONLY Luke DID. It was proven that his torch did Not have the scope to have seen the body which was behind a big log & amongst bushes - on that pitch dark, rainy, starless night, At All. Lean always uses the wording of 'case papers' to Pretend that she had all the documents & all the statements from the trial, she does Not & Never has. She had paperwork from his defence lawyer for the appeal process from way back at that time, Nothing else. Over 40 police & seasoned investigators worked this case very carefully for a Long time. The police did an Excellent job to put that scumbag psychopathic child killer Exactly where he needs to be.
Why not create a correctly worded letter with specific points spoken of on all these videos, that can be downloaded or sent by email on request where persons own details and signature can be added by all interested parties and be posted to their local politicians. if Luke had support I'm certain this support has grown considerably in recent years, and many more than 25,000 would take up the chance to lift this load from a lad who's lost so much.

The basis of the agreement was, to not discuss further, DNA, which was not going to be used as evidence --- Evidence of existence but NOT evidence of murder.
So, they took certain DNA, they agreed the following fully, "That there was nothing found that could not be innocently explained away" NO DNA ,that could be used in connection with any crime being committed, such as the murder. That applies to anyone.
Now let us look at the following - "There was no forensic evidence directly linking Luke Mitchell to the murder" Not and never, that there was no DNA of LM's present. Two separate entities.
Question - Did you ask Luke Mitchell who the source was? If not then why not? Or, alternatively, did you not have to ask him for you already knew who that source was? - We don't require a question as an answer, just a straight forward answer to the actual question, please.

Going to play devils advocate here. But this is disappointing. I was expecting something different, but it really is much of the same from other podcasts these 2 have done. What I also find extremely disappointing, that they continue to ignore much of the evidance that convicted Luke in the first place. Especially his alibi. His jacket, his knife as well as much more. To simply say, he never owned such items , is not good enough. I would also like to know how any new forensic evidance, that would be classed as circumstancal would solve an already solved case? Farther, I would also like to know/interpret the scottish criminal commission reasons for refusal at the last appeal, which if I'm not mistaken, was based around the forensic evidance. If what these 2 say, is a sure thing, then why are we still here? Why has no proper legal team bothered to take this on, also if I'm also not mistaken other MOJ organisations have looked at it, but took things no farther.

I have asked these questions multiple times in the past to no avail. I was completely numb. So someone asking, or saying, what those not in the circumstances would find weird, is perfectly reasonable to those in shock. Asking "is she naked" could be a way of finding out the likelihood of it being a rape. Which, for a sister, would be a huge fear. The recording of LM phoning police does not sound like the panicked shocked reaction of a 14 year old finding his mutilated girlfriend (which is why those in court were surprised DF actually played it). Now you could say that was also shock where he shut down. But too much is made of what people said in a state of shock and grief.

@@lisafraser7896 Yet, not only seen that horrific sight but 'cradled her in her arms' but then told Ferris & Dickie to keep low for 5 days, never had her clothes examined ( only Luke was stripped) 5 days later when the clever constables went to ask for clothing for forensic she couldn't remember what she was wearing! Then all clothes had been washed! What a circus!! Then there was Dickies spaniels had been at the place where Jodie was 'put' & he had blood on his boot! Examined? NO! The path had been bleached also and you all know it WASN'T Luke!
