So here is the deal with me. I have never played a first-person shooter game. Ever. That is until OW2 came out. yes, I am late to the party. But I'm here before it ended, right? I really only joined because it was an opportunity to have something in common or have something to talk about or play with a friend of a friend that I had just met. Anyways - that's not the point. the point is that when I played. Apparently, my now gamer friend has told me I have really good aim and suggested I try to work with characters that are... considered very deadly when it comes to sniping. She suggested Hanzo, Widow, Ashe. You get the point. I did pretty well for someone that has never played games before. (Side note: I prefer to read and go outside. So that is why I spent my life not playing games other than Mario Kart and Pokémon) But even when I did well. I wasn't that excited to play. It was fun, don't get me wrong. But the characters don't fit. Not sure how to explain that. When Kiriko was first introduced and the animation that went along with her. OH, MY GAWD! It's like I fell in love. Okay... I am odd for being this way. But When I finally received her. I felt like I wanted to actually learn how to use her. So, here I am now. Looking at any video I can find to give helpful tips. I approve of this! Hope my mini story wasn't a waste of anyone's time. Whoever decides to read this. I am just happy to play. And dw. I play Ashe as well if I need. ALSO, any tips for someone who may want to play all support heros?
Hey that's awesome. For me my love for the game started with me playing the heroes I really wanted to play. When Kiriko came out I felt that same way again for the first time in years. She's super fun and a cool character. Honestly I wouldn't say you need to learn every support. If you play the game for a while you'll learn them all over time, but it's more important to master the few that you want to first. Ana is a super fun support as well I'd recommend her, but it's also up to you ofc. It's good to master a few that cover the bases you need covered. Just keep playing and learning from people and you got it :) I hope you can keep having fun with the game!
Is there any advice for a console player? I'm pretty sure my sensitivities are my issue I'm just not sure where they should be. I feel like I have a hard time keeping the aim on that horizontal line. Loved the video, great tips!
@@Javofo oh i see! thank you! i did recently find it was easier to aim like that with her. trying to get better as shes the support i play most after mercy. i do find that if you play her as the main healer its really hard to flank and try to take 1v1s because the second i try to my whole team is dead. any advice? thank you :)
@@PurpleMoon799 yeah I agree :) it's always better to take it slow with aiming and be precise first. Getting faster comes next! Also yeah unfortunately you can't always flank as her especially if you're main healing. That's why it's good to weave in 1-2 kunai between heals to hopefully help a tank or dps in their duel. I'd say if the fight feels slow and your team is not taking damage it's good to try going for a quick attempt to kill. Also setting up a flank before a fight on defense can catch people off guard :)
With new sticky nade you can no longer tp however you can suzu yourself and it gets rid of it. So while immortal you can also tp out :) (honestly I forgot if it straight up deletes it or if it just falls to the ground pretty sure it just gets deleted)
Oooof wait you're right I got that misinformation from someone. They buffed the recovery time making it so you can shoot them slightly faster. I'll fix description thanks for pointing that out!

@@Javofo im on controller and when i think about that it must be tracer’s mistake coz my sens is not really elevated So I should thanks the tracers instead of my aim but kill em is still really appreciating 👻
My teams literally get obliterated if i don't heal for 5 seconds. I have a crit percentage of 25-30 per game so i'm decent at clicking heads but people on gold have horrendous positioning and decisions so i have to healbot most of the time. Unfortunately i have a winrate of like 35% so i'm rapidly going down despite having most heal and damage of all supports in game. This is high gold btw.
That is rather unfortunate. Well maybe instead you can help your team get kills rather than go off for them on your own. Strange that you would have most damage. Usually as Kiriko sometimes I can have top elims but not damage. Also maybe there's something else going on that you don't realize that is bringing you down. For me I had a lot of bad habits I wasn't aware of until I had my vod reviewed just once. Are you on PC or Console?
@@Javofo PC. I solo queued my way to plat, deranked to gold due to getting frequent steamrolls (games with NO WAY to win), and now on my way to derank to silver. Something just feels wrong with what's going on. I don't care about rank too much, but having a winrate that low is not fun to play with.
@@__matcha yeah that's fair and I've definitely been there it's not fun. It's hard to say what could help you without knowing your playstyle and such. Do you think maybe you try dpsing too much on kiri?
@@Javofo I only have 40 hours on ow2 (didn't play the og) but i'm an ex paladins player with 1k hours, they're similar in terms of gameplay so i was decent at the start. Being placed on gold as my first rank and climbed to plat in a week. Although i probably make small but consecutive mistakes that contribute to bigger problems. I was playing QP yesterday in a lobby full of bronze-silvers and i stomped everyone. This would be the same case if a master or gm were to play at gold. So how can i stomp on bronzies but not golds and plats? because i'm not good enough to climb yet. I can hold my own, but holding isn't seem to be enough. That's my explanation on it, as bitter as it is.
@@__matcha oooh okay yeah I see that tends to happen with new accounts where It places you higher. With more experience you can definately get back up there. Keep consuming information and playing the game and you'll go up definately if you're trying to improve! That's awesome that you're able to do that in qp it makes kiriko very fun lol.
You could be the best healer in ow2 but if your team is trash you would never ever ranked up. I main kiriko and every single game I heal somewhere between 15k to 20k and am stuck in silver.
Tho it's not just about healing. Sure some games you do get bad teammates but on average statistically you should win 50% of the time based on teammates. Support isn't just healing. Utility is to be used for either saving your team or helping your team kill the enemy. As ana getting huge nades/sleeps helps win fights. Same with kiriko of you help assist with kills or get kills on flankers. That's the reason I say you have to carry. Have to win over 50% of your games to rank up.
As a gm player I’d also like to remind: dont focus on your teammates performance. Focus on your own. after doing some research on it I found that you can fit in 1.8 kunai between healing. Which means you do loose a tiny bit of healing time but not much at all. If someone is dying I might only throw 1 between healing them if you don't have your suzu.
(appearently they buffed the healing ofuda charge time in season 3 making it like this)
@@Javofo healing ofuda recovery went from 1 to 0.9 in season 5 which is a pretty good buff, it was 0.85 before it was nerfed
Can someone tell me how to find the custom game mode he mentioned? I went into custom game and typed the code and nothing popped up. Same with Tryhard
I think I have finally gotten good at Kiri because I was told by a reaper to kms 🥰 (got 20 more kills than them and didn’t die)
Is there any advice for a console player? I'm pretty sure my sensitivities are my issue I'm just not sure where they should be. I feel like I have a hard time keeping the aim on that horizontal line.
Loved the video, great tips!
You had less than 1000 subs one year ago and now have 8.59k. Cool.
Yessir :)
hey i have a question! is it better to hold the mouse button to spam her kunais or click for each one you throw?
Typically I click for each one because you want to be as precise as possible trying to get headshots :)
@@Javofo tysm for all of the tips :) keep up the good content and work 💜💜
@@PurpleMoon799 ofcourse! Thank you I'll do my best! :)
For some reason i cant switch my right and left clicks
That's really strange? Are you doing it in regular control settings or did you switch to kiriko only?
@@Javofo i was about to fix it ‼️
@@moegazer7509 I hope you can fix it! Lol it's been a month haha
If Cass mag nades you, and you tp away, don't you bring the nade with you to your ally?
With new sticky nade you can no longer tp however you can suzu yourself and it gets rid of it. So while immortal you can also tp out :) (honestly I forgot if it straight up deletes it or if it just falls to the ground pretty sure it just gets deleted)
VALORANT AIM?!?! OOOH, I CAN DO THAT!!! (Long time valorant nolifer)
Good old times when kiri can two shot people
I do miss it :(
All that well, but how Kiriko can defend herself against other heroes, for instance against Moira who has autoaim and a life-sucking black orb?
kunai, teleport, and suzu, or being near allies
Do you know how to heal a dead teammate with kiriko? Im suffering
😂😂 I'm still figuring that out myself
The only reason I want to get good with Kiriko is the himiko toga skin :D
They didn't buff projectile speed?
Oooof wait you're right I got that misinformation from someone. They buffed the recovery time making it so you can shoot them slightly faster. I'll fix description thanks for pointing that out!
ok thought i was tripping and missed something lol. Either way the buff is amazing lmfao why did they do that. @@Javofo

do i need that skin to get good????
To be honest I realised how poor my positioning (sorry if i spelled it wrong) was as kiriko btw I'm bronze 4 with kiriko
And how bad my aim was once I saw this video I realised that how much I actually improved since I saw this video

Thanks! Im glad to hear you improved! :)
How much easier does this look on PVC
She seems easier than ana. I usually main ana and brig, every match feels like life or death
She definately can stay alive easier than Ana however I'd say it can be harder to get value
Im always calling myself a tracer counter coz one shoot on tracer are so easy with kiriko
You must have some really good aim then! lol that's awesome
@@Javofo im on controller and when i think about that it must be tracer’s mistake coz my sens is not really elevated
So I should thanks the tracers instead of my aim but kill em is still really appreciating 👻

Hold up she climbs walls 😮
It’s kiriko bro I don’t think anybody needs a tutorial on how to succeed with her
Not true dude metal rank kirikos are nothing but healbots with 10-13% headshot accuracy.

You're not stuck you just need to improve! There's so much more to overwatch that even the highest rank players don't know/think of! :)
