Basically this song is telling about his imagination of things ( or how he wished) when he rides the train every morning and see the same girl. It's like I see this girl every morning in the train, but I don't know her, and I can only look at her through reflection of window glass, how i wish we never be apart, and she is leaning towards me, and that there is no end stop in this train. And hope that one day I will be her end destination. So the in song bridge part, I wish that she really knows my intention, but after 1 station, 3 stations, thousand stations, she didn't seem to know yet. So in summary, it's something like how I wish I can be with this girl where I meet in the train every morning....which explains why the soft tone and music of this song, loving a girl secretly...

Chinese language is complicated, but really makes feeling the song at a deeper level if you understand it. Sometimes translations just doesn't do that. Today marks the 28th year of the passing of Ka Kui. Your sadness is shared by us all. We miss him so much.
ur so right, this is one of my all-time favorites. the melody of the song is just amazing, even tho this is not as popular as some of the other songs from beyond. i do think this song is timeless and you just will never ever get tired of listening to, because of the fabulous melody and the amazing voice of ka-kui which tugs at your heartstrings. and ur also correct about where this music video took place. it was in japan when beyond was releasing their first japanese album and that's how they were there to do its recording and later on be on the tv show which took ka-kui's life =(
After Ka Kui’s gone, Beyond still playing their music and disband on 1999. Their songs are also great in this era. His brother Ka Keung and bandmate Paul Wong composed many songs and start writing more lyrics by themself. And you may try listen ‘十八' (eighteen) from their last album 'Good Times'. This song is like a poem a guy wrote in his head to a secret crash he saw on the train every morning. The lyrics is expressing he is shy to approach her and imagining all the possibilities with the girl. It’s a very beautiful song.

Honestly, every time I see the stunning photo of Ka Kui in the red suit at the end of this mv, there would be a feeling of inexplicable sadness that bursts into my heart! The beautiful hand-drawn pictures in the mv were all drawn by Paul Wong, the long hair guy. He has been good at drawing, painting, and design. Most of the projects in the band that needed to be designed and drawn were done by Paul Wong.

Beyond moved to Japan to further develop and expand their music, because at the time, the Music Industry in HongKong, seemed very controlled, fake, and was not accepting of their trailblazing authenticity and originality, every artist seemed to have a mask on for entertainment purpose for marketing. hence the song, 俾面派对。Therefore, they went to Japan where the music industry was more allowing of their musical freedom. So, most of their classics were written while in Japan, including 海阔天空. In their hearts, they always longed to return to HongKong, but unfortunately, Ka Kui passed away. such a shame, and such heartbreak. You can check out his documentary, shows footage of his funeral. Whole city (HK) was in absolute mayhem, authorities had NO control. it was devastating to say the least. Just a bit of context for you.

Hi Frank, it's well publicise that Ka Kui says HK only got entertainment but no musical scene, hence they took their chance and go to Japan to pursue their "Music Dream". Unfortunately it all end before it really begins. Other Beyond members had a feeling that Ka Kui knew he was "going away'..the things he said, the things he did. And the song Boundless Sky where the lyric mentioned "也会怕有一天会跌倒" translated "I am also afraid one day I will fall" and ironically he really fall to his death.
Beyond was sick and tired of the entertainment industry in HK. To seek for better environment to develop their music, they went to Japan in 1991. That's why the lead singer Kuma died there. He had deep understanding of various kinds of music, including African music. What a tragedy.

They make their last two albums in Japan. "Morning Train" is from the second last album "The Revolution". Yes, you're right. It's is in Japan.
