Great tips and fish catching action as we share our secrets for live baiting New Zealand inshore kingfish / fishybusiness FishyBusinessTV/ fishybusinesstv
Could I use a float and put it on the main line. The rig I have is a float on ont the main line then a swivel connected to the leader which has a hook on the end. I'm gonna fish at raglan wharf
We keep about 5 kingfish a year for food. Kingfish start breeding at about 8 kg 75 cm . So while I appreciate your comment may be worth thinking about how many get caught not what size.
Great job, what hook are you using? I unfortunately lost a decent fish, we was live baiting on a trip out the weekend before last and it had snapped a Decoro 7/0 size hook clean in half, could've been quality of the hook, one of the other guys thought it had bitten it off, so might consider changing hook type. The day was coming to an end and we only had one fish left after the work we put into the one that got away 😅 absolutely gutted 😢
Thank you keep making your videos

Is it possible to catch a kingfish using a black magic live bait rig of the wharf
Sure is you might want to use a balloon or a sinker depending on where you are fishing

That would be perfect
Try some green seaweed
Surely with your level of knowledge and expertise you would now release these bigger fish and rather keep the 75cm-90cm fish for a feed?
