Great stuff. Very similar to the Kings in Florida! The last one is a Tourney winner there.

    Love it man!!!
Here in Cape Town, South Africa we dont get these huge beasts. Most range from 3kg to the rare 15kg.
Bugger would love to fight one of these beasts!!
Keep the yellowtail kingfish videos coming!!!

Easy ya say, I've tried everything to catch a legal kingy, had them swimming around the boat and wouldn't take livies, stick baits, or jigs, tried numerous times to get one but I think I've got a kingy jinx, think I need to be hooked up with a kingy trip

Something is seriously "fishy" about UA-cam fishing channels.
How come all the awesome kiwi fishing channels that are professionally done have such few subs?
Literally these guys should be among the most popular. 55k subs dose not begin to describe their professionalism.

They're great programs, but NZ based. As a general everyday fisho, I can't get to NZ with boat to experience what's shown ( somewhat frustratingly). Thus I watch and subscribe to channel that are more relevant to my circumstances. I'd love to casually fish the largely less fished waters of NZ, but the ease in fishing there is irrelevant to Australia's heavily fished water (especially out of Sydney). I love kiwi fishing, but the shows are limited in what I can learn.. This show doesn't show location or set up, just great fishing..

Nice fish to be sure. I live in California and we use much lighter gear to catch these fish. Typically 40lb fluorocarbon......max 50lb and sometimes on a kayak or stand up paddle board

Not all reels do that... Matt rarely replys to comments. Take the rod to your nearest tackle store

    • @jasl7358

And on some reels you have to guide the line on manually. Especially on your heavier reels

    • @jasl7358

When you're reeling in use your thumb to guide it side to side
