Love it man!!! Here in Cape Town, South Africa we dont get these huge beasts. Most range from 3kg to the rare 15kg. Bugger would love to fight one of these beasts!! Keep the yellowtail kingfish videos coming!!!
It was/is on TV in New Zealand in the evenings but if you want all content just download the app they have all their videos including how to's in one place
Easy ya say, I've tried everything to catch a legal kingy, had them swimming around the boat and wouldn't take livies, stick baits, or jigs, tried numerous times to get one but I think I've got a kingy jinx, think I need to be hooked up with a kingy trip
Something is seriously "fishy" about UA-cam fishing channels. How come all the awesome kiwi fishing channels that are professionally done have such few subs? Literally these guys should be among the most popular. 55k subs dose not begin to describe their professionalism.
They're great programs, but NZ based. As a general everyday fisho, I can't get to NZ with boat to experience what's shown ( somewhat frustratingly). Thus I watch and subscribe to channel that are more relevant to my circumstances. I'd love to casually fish the largely less fished waters of NZ, but the ease in fishing there is irrelevant to Australia's heavily fished water (especially out of Sydney). I love kiwi fishing, but the shows are limited in what I can learn.. This show doesn't show location or set up, just great fishing..
Nice fish to be sure. I live in California and we use much lighter gear to catch these fish. Typically 40lb fluorocarbon......max 50lb and sometimes on a kayak or stand up paddle board
@@ChongiFishing How about go cane toading instead of fishing? Get all the cane toads out of the environment. Now that would be exciting when you catch a cane toad eh? I'm sure the toads would keep toadsmen busy.
@@colinthiel1283Because it was there. Curiosity on human unnecessary cruelty. Only watched it for about 30secs that was enough to see what rubbish these types of videos are. Yes you all big time heroes eh? When it comes to real battles where your own buds are on the line you'd run like cowards. Not heroes. Only low brained dimwits.
Great stuff. Very similar to the Kings in Florida! The last one is a Tourney winner there.
I love the underwater shots

A few 40kg+ Kings landed in my area this summer.

The late worm gets to live
Yellow tail sashimi.
J'ai beaucoup appris sur UA-cam
Wooooh
Oh ok. Hard to tell on a cell phone. How much in lbs?
Churr nice kingies bro
I have a tuna rod but when i wind in my line it doesn't go side to side on the reel? Plz help?
Not all reels do that... Matt rarely replys to comments. Take the rod to your nearest tackle store
And on some reels you have to guide the line on manually. Especially on your heavier reels
When you're reeling in use your thumb to guide it side to side
And it doesn't have to be perfect
use your finger and thumb to guide it
Is kahway australian salmon???
Yeh mate

Man I’ve always wanted to catch a kingi but my boat doesn’t have a live bait box
just get a cooler and some saltwater will do the job

Why dont u have more subs
the khawai are like australian salmon
You should fish at 3 kings
He has
Yellowtail yew
Go do something useful such as cleaning pollution out of the environment. No need for fishing shows.
Fishing shows encourage self sourced sustainable recreational fishing, much better for the planet than supporting the industrial meat industry
