- This is the classic 1985 squirt video from the inventors of squirtin' featuring Jim & Jeff Snyder, Paul Marshall, Whitney Shields, Eric Lindberg, and Johnny Regan on the Gauley, Cheat, Upper Yough, Big Sandy, and New Rivers. Great boating, mid 80's quality video, and, um, unusual music.
Damn, how I miss the '80s.
This is one of many reasons I miss the 80's!
Voll cool!!! Das nennt man Leidenschaft...
Oh boy! For me, this is the golden age which influences my boating to this day. Or, at least as much as my aging body will allow. Such a wonderful era! Thanks for the video.
I remember watching Jesse at the top of the Gauley in his Millennium Falcon (?) and I think it was Jeff Snyder working on his moves on the New under the bridge. Man dem was da days. Some paddling boarding on mild whitewater is my speed now. Thanks for posting
Great old school boating. Since plastic boats have become so popular, hardly ever see squirt boats on the water anymore. Almost a lost art to paddle a squirt boat.
There were a bunch of them on the Gauley yesterday. I guess we are pretty close to the epicenter, though.
I remember floating over top of Jeff/or Jim as he mysteried moved at Typewriter on the Cheat. Looked straight down at him as I guided a raft on down the river.
i still own jet number 14
Very very cool
Too bad they fail to mention the people who actually discovered the technique: Jon Lugbill and Davey Hearn in C1s. That was in 1982 or 83.
Actually it was Bob Robinson - another of the DC C1 Maffia. The boat was a Max II C1 - that was in 78 or 79.
