Brock, may I ask why you went with wooden, home made implement storage vs. pallet racking with wire shelves? Just curious as to what your reasoning was.
Thanks for the question. I had a couple of reasons. Number one that building is on a pretty steep incline so it would’ve taken quite a bit of work to build it up , Or dig it out to the point that pallet racking could sit there Second reason is that I wanted three rows of implements and the tractor just barely has enough reach to get to that third row. I don’t think I could’ve got three rows with the shelf height I have if there was a bottom rack on the pallet racking. This allowed me to make it exactly the width I could fit for the space and exactly the width I needed for the implements. Same thing with the height. If I was storing implements in my main building that has the concrete floor I would use pallet racks and just spread it out a little more. As it is I’m getting ready to build a third set of shelves for my three point implements. I’ve already built a rack for the backhoe
Good Morning Brock, I see you aren't using the top link on the tractor. Is it not working? I'm having a hard time finding the right size for my tractor. I just got my shipment from summit hydraulics and am going to start figuring how to mount my rear remote kit and the front diverter. Are you looking to sell hay to a farmer? Is that the plan? How many acres do you have?
I have 20 acres. My neighbor bales about 7 acres of that and gives me 1/3 of the proceeds which last year was about $1000. I’m just increasing the area that can be used to hay production. I’m planning to buy some used hay equipment or One of those miniature Balers and do it myself next year I’d like to have a bunch of small bales for decorating around the Christmas tree farm and the pumpkin patch but I can also sell them. The hydraulic top link got Bent a little bit at the connection point. I don’t think it was the best choice of the top links cylinders. I talked about it in another video. It’s still usable but I haven’t been using it because I was going to replace it and the one I was trying to get was sold out. I think tractor supply Has one that works but I just haven’t gotten around to it. When I was using it, it was one of the most helpful things I’ve done and I keep meaning to put the other one back on when using a box blade or bush hog
To get better visibility of the brush hog. I’ve been thinking about lowering the tool rack so I can see over it better on operations that require you to look back a lot

Why did you take the toolbox off the Artillian rake (12:35)?
To get better visibility of the brush hog.

I need some new property to clean up 🤣!
Doesn’t look like you have a shortage of tractor work to do
