Good job. I have something similar with my 1468 Legend. Flat floors really add to the comfort. I built a front pitching deck, two floors and a rear casting deck. All my stuff is hidden under decks, front battery, rear battery, fuel tank, safety equipment. I have two trolling motors installed, front and rear. We mostly bass fish, never troll. But it great to see other guys that modify basic aluminum boats. I will make a video in the spring. (we just got hit with a major snow storm and I guess I am watching boat videos, can't wait)

Great job on the build. I am looking for casting deck ideas for my 14 ' right now seems like you came up with a good set up. cutting board shims is a perfect solution also. thanks for the video
12ft would be a little less stable with a platform but they are fairly easy to make. I’ve got a platform on my 12’ Jon boat and it’s nice to have even though it’s not that stable.
I’m looking at getting this boat, nice job with the customizations. Could you send me the floor and deck plans/pics? If so let me know what the best way to do so would be. Thanks!
Great job of customizations just bought a used boat. Could you send me the floor and deck plans/pics? If so let me know what the best way to do so would be. Thanks!
This is pretty much the same setup I want too. Just wondering if the 25hp is too much on this boat, or if the power of the 25hp is still ok on a boat this size? I bet it fly's with it. Also, I have never seen the outboard trailer support before. I want to get one too. Nice ideas in this video. Cheers.
Yes it goes pretty fast took me some playing around with prop pitch to get maximum speed but once I figured out what was best is when I got my maximum speed. Was fast enough to pull up someone on skis.
BC_Backwaters just picked up boat, stripping paint off interior and was trying to figure out how the heck people mounted the deck. Do you have pictures, measurements or a link to the strap that goes on the front two bolts and how it’s placed?
BC_Backwaters also the wood for the seats is toast. What type of wood did you use to replace the back two? Or are they stock and in good shape? Your build is the best I’ve seen on this boat!
I can’t remember exactly I want to say 36kmh but that I believe was fully loaded the floor added a lot of weight it was much faster with no floor and just bare bones.
If you look closely it is the rear bumper on the trailer that I am hooked onto. The trailer actually has holes meant for hooks. No tail light brackets on the trailer they just screw right into the back bumper.
I have been looking at getting the same transducer mount you have but can't seem to find it anywhere, even on the basspro website. Would you happen to know the brand and model number?
I have another video with just details about me mounting the transducer and if you look in the description I put a link to Amazon where you can find one! Hopefully this helps!
@@BCBackwaters Awesome, ill look that up.I just purchased a WC-14 with a 20hp merc. Hoping to set it up something like you have. Great set up. Thanks for the info.
@@BCBackwaters hello again. I watched the video on the transducer mount, however that video seems to show a different set up than what you show on the other video. I'm looking for the clamp on mount that you show in the video, not the mounting of a transom plate. Am i missing the proper video somewhere?
@@dongarden3577 You are right I totally forgot about my first one and yes I got it at Bass Pro but I will try and find it online over the next day or two for you. I am currently camping with limited reception.
Hi Jason. Any way to get a list of suppliers for your modifications and detail on the bow build. Would appreciate any info you are willing to share. Just got an older 14' Lund and would like to make it a little more functional as you have. Thanks, Mike
Mike Fitzpatrick Suppliers? Everything in the boat is custom made by myself to fit. Obviously wood, paint and outdoor carpet was from my local hardware store. Send me your email and I’ll send you some photos of the build and answer any questions you may have.
Yes info on the build would be appreciated. New at this (plus old and cannot hear) and did not know about Scotty where I think most accessories came from. Did not hear where you got the seats. That is what I meant by suppliers. mfitz5205@gmail.com. Thanks Jason for any info.
Hi i got a 14'' DLX lund to with a 20f Honda motor, with long foot. The problem is i think my boat is slow cause the nose is very hig. Can you help me?
How much gear do you pack? Also the pitch on your prop makes a huge difference. When I loaded my boat down even with the 25hp it didn’t go as fast as I expected but when I changed my prop to one with less pitch my top end speed was much faster. I would recommend prop change first or move some of your gear to the back of the boat it will help get you up on plane.
CR2504life It’s a little heavy on the back like any other boat but Lund is definitely a thicker aluminum boat than most. With my casting deck and anchor the boat rides perfectly and goes pretty good! I can have 4 adults and 2 kids and still plane. That being said the boat is not light weight at all...It’s heavy!! Its rated for a 25hp but I’ve seen many people go for a larger motor as long as you are under the transom weight rating.
@@BCBackwaters ok hmmm, It must be because your transom is braced (inside the boat) with a compartment, strengthening it. www.lundboats.com/boat-models/ssv-14/

What size is trolling motor? 40lbs thrust?
It was a 30lb at that time but I think a 40 would have been a better choice
what a beaut...and some super cool details!

BC_Backwaters thanks! Is that a custom strap on the front mount to the deck? The one secured by the two bolts/nuts in front of boat?
