Yo man, I agree. It was actually a technical fault with the recording. For some reason the microphone over exposed and didn't pick up the graduation from light to loud.
@poeticmonkey id say theyre about equal :L same speed kinda both fairly easy but mk ultra just has lots of parts to remember, its a lot more complexly built song, whereas plugin baby is basicly just verse chourus verse chourus outro lol :PP
Wow, this video has tons of math. Those toms = sex + the fact that DW rocks - the fact that I don't like Paiste * great quality (great mixing^2)+ a great drummer = a great video Which means the answer is: A talented drummer with an awesome kit
Over 66k views and not even 600 likes...!? Class song and cover. I'm not a drummer so this might sound like a lame comment but I like how heavy you hit your drums. Nothing worse than a drummer who can't smash the hell out of their kit when it's called for. 🥁🤘✅ (a tip for any drummers struggling with this: put a picture of someone you hate on your skins - to get you started, there's no shortage of past and present world leaders🤷♂️might work)
hey bro! not bad at all here, we relocated to Prague last january & we're regrouping here... found a very cool dude who's in to play bass with us, but we already are having a hard time finding a drummer... we'd just jump at the chance to have YOU drumming :) I have a felling you'd really like our new stuff... but hey maybe you know some drummer around here? ahah! if you pass by, drop a line & let's do stuff man! place is way cool, I'm an intern at the studio where KILLING JOKE did their last CD!
That snare roll mid way through the song really needs to be emphasised with more dynamics. It didn't really elevate higher from just 'loud'. As it stands, though, it's a good cover.
@benpowellfforddlas Nah I doubt it was really the recording fault. Stick height is a good indicator of volume, you started off the fill at a pretty high volume. The difference in stick height should be more obvious. Great cover nonetheless. Good recording sound!
This was a song that I just had to learn on guitar. It was like something nagging at me like I couldn't do anything until I learned it. It's more complicated than Plug in Baby but similar. I also wanted to rip my hair out...
Hey mate, Just saw your comment about assasin being a fucker! Too fucking right mate! I would fail in like the first first seconds, and then when it comes to the fill going into the 1st verse, I would be screwed! haha. Keep it going though bruv! You're doing a fandabbydozey job! Ever thought of maybe doing some foals, Could see you being able to pull it off. If not just carry on doing Muse and foo fighters song. Cheers buddy! x
@benpowellfforddlas The majority of the song isn't too bad. The really fast bits on the bass and the triplet fills are a bitch though. Took me about a month to get the song 100% but it's worth it in the end!
your hand technique is like half match half french it looks like the most uncomftoble/awkard thing when u play. And since drums are not "pitch" instruments the one and most AFFECTIVE thing when playing drums is to use DINAMICS. I recon those cymbols will last like maybe a year? heads probly a month?
Don't know if you'll ever read this, but that was fantastic! Smoothe, and on beat the whole way! Good choice of cymbals as well ;) One thing that I noticed in "the making of The Resistance: MK Ultra" is that during the snare roll @ 2:28 is that he accents mostly on beats 2 and 4 but then breaks it up and syncopates a few times to break it up. Just an observation that's been useful to me.
hey ben... Max here from recs of the flesh... thanx for linking it up, GREAT STUFF! insane amounts of ass kickery... well done!!! ciao from Prague!!!
Really nice job man. I play drums too and I love the sound of your set dude.

Yo man, I agree. It was actually a technical fault with the recording. For some reason the microphone over exposed and didn't pick up the graduation from light to loud.
are your batter heads on the toms tuned very low? they sound AMAZING!!!
Very nice cover ;D

@benpowellfforddlas surely a drummer with your talent can pull it off easily?!

Great cover! I just couldn't hear your bass drum very well :/
i looked a lot of your video you're very good
Perfect ! More Muse is a good thing Ben:-)
Fucking awesome Ben
i find that when i hit the snare with my right hand i dont have as much power in my chops, i noticed that here aswell, good cover though
Hey man, how's tricks? You all good?
Hows RECS going?
That snare roll mid way through the song really needs to be emphasised with more dynamics. It didn't really elevate higher from just 'loud'. As it stands, though, it's a good cover.

I've lost count on how many times I've watched this and still the hairs on my neck stand up....
@Carlos07 Than everybody's !
O.o holy shit man
What kind of kit do you have? size?

Whats the song at the end?

Hi!
Haha, your like the 10th person to request that!
I'll crack on with it in the new year!
It's a fucker to play that one!
@benpowellfforddlas The majority of the song isn't too bad. The really fast bits on the bass and the triplet fills are a bitch though. Took me about a month to get the song 100% but it's worth it in the end!
best part: 2.28 - 2.41
nice madagascar poster
