How I wish there was more of this!!! Seeing Davy on Bass is pretty cool, and Micky really kills it on Circle Sky. Arguably their best live performance from the 60's.

Steppin' Stone - best version ever. Best drumming, best guitar playing, best vocal - best everything.

That was cool. Plus, marachas in one hand, keyboard in the others.

Many years ago I stayed up to watch Head on CBS Late Night. The movie Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea came on first. One of the few things I remember about Head was the Circle Sky performance. I've been reading the book Good Clean Fun. I recently got to the part about this concert. The TV show and records often gave the impression that Davy couldn't play much. Yet he did several different instruments in concert. Too bad the audio wasn't recorded better. This is history! RIP Davy.

Peter was amazed at davy's ability to pick up instruments and play them better than ok!

the frustrating thing is all of this was filmed as it was for Head - right? So there is probably a dusty old box somewhere with this whole thing in.
I read a few years ago they found about 30 boxes of Head footage/outtakes etc & there were plans to get it all edited & released but thats the last i heard of it :(
