This is the best Toyota transponder key programming tutorial on UA-cam. It worked for me after trying other approaches from other videos failed. Other UA-cam videos miss the final critical step of starting the car with the master key to exit programming mode. Thank you.
Worked perfectly with my 2009 Sienna LE. I had to do it 2-3 times before I got the instructions exactly right (I failed to keep the door open after the 6 times open/shut). Did it correctly with 2 copy keys, now I have 3 working keys! Thanks so much!
I bought a key set years ago on amazon, had the key cut at Home Depot (I don't think they do this anymore) and programmed the fob, but at that time couldn't find a way to program the key. Just found this video and dug that set out of a drawer. The key program worked great, and I am thrilled! I've had only a single set for 6 years and can now rest easier. I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna LE and it doesn't have the security light like yours (it may show up in the dashboard), but I waited a little over the 60 seconds you mentioned and it worked. Thank you so much!
2006 Toyota Sienna XLE--Alhamdulillah! About the 10th time I tried it it worked! 💕💕💕 This single mom thanks you a million. Never use paracord as a key chain! Mine got wrapped around my steering column and bent my key this morning almost in a 90° angle. Yikes!!! Needless to say my original intention was to go on Amazon months ago and get spare keys and program them myself. But because of the possible emergency situation not wanting my key to break off in my ignition. I went to the dealership today verified my ownership them, bought the key only and have them cut it by the VIN number (because that bent key definitely was not fitting into a tracer key machine to copy it) and told him I'd be back if I couldn't program it myself. Getting the key today costing me $45 but I saved $155 "programming fee" plus most importantly I saved hours of time wasted on a Saturday day off not having to wait, in a dealership . Now I will be getting the rest of my spare keys on Amazon as well as getting the key fob which itself at the dealership cost over $130 plus the programming fee. Again a million thanks.
Thanks. I really appreciate the video. Tried a couple others first that didn’t work. Came upon your video and was successful. My 2007 Sienna doesn’t have a security light but the instructions still worked. Was quoted $100 for a single programmed key. Cost for my 2 DIY keys, $18.00.
This was an AWESOME video! I managed to program my two keys following your easy instructions. Only difference is that for my 2008 Sienna, the light is on the dash (to the left of the speedometer) rather than by the radio. But everything worked the same, and I am so glad I found this.
My order came in very quickly & was correct ignition key however i learned I have to have a locksmith for my vechile year & model. DW service seller is very accomedating. Will continue to recommend & continue to do business with them in the future. 5 star company!!
Thank You. It worked on the 2005 Sienna. Amazon said key was not self programmable.Tried other videos. They didn't work. I programmed My 2 keys in less then 10 minutes with your method..
Worked on Toyota Hilux cab chassis knu26 4*4 when followed to a T. Thanks! Tried other videos without success. Trick was to wait at end for a minute with light flashingtill it stopped.
2008 sienna XLE closed the door 6x wouldn’t go into the programming mode. Found that if I open the door back up (after closing it 6x) so open and leave open on the 7th that the key light next to the speedometer stayed solid… I then placed my unprogrammed key in and waited a good minute and the key light stopped blinking / went off and it started right away. Thanks🎉.
So I had two keys made for my 2006 sienna not knowing about the computer angle, wondered why they wouldn't work. My question is now, will I be able to program these new keys?
I tried this method and the pedals method. Not working. Security light wont stay solid. 2006 acv36. Think it's year n model where they stopped including feature. Anyway. I ordered the key mastering obd tool from aliexpress to try as a last resort.

mine is a 2006 xle. Both of my key copies stopped working... when I follow the process, my light wont stop blinking. I have left the key for over 5 minutes or so.. but still no luck... any advice?
If both keys stopped working at the same time, I would suspect that the issue is not the keys, but possibly the ignition switch itself may be the problem.

Thank you so much
You're welcome.
Hi, where do you have your key cut? I went to Home Depot but they said they don’t cut it unless I buy the key from them.
Go to any lock and key store and they should cut it for you.
