I just found out there were two different singers. I saw the other guy. They were both blond, but I noticed something different when I a video on here the other day and someone told me there were two singers. This one I guess left, was replaced, came back? These guys were great back in the day. I'm old. Love the stuff that was popular when I was a teen/30some.
I don't get the hate, he's not ducking high notes, he hits several of them... he's just making the song a little more laid back. The backup singers sound fine too, it just sounds different from the record because they're women and the original guys were really talented. When you're playing to a small crowd like this you smooth it out a little bit. Guy's got a fantastic voice.
He sounds AWESOME!!! Looks great! But he looks like someones grandfather... It's really amazing what a good shock of hair does to someone... no matter the age...
He doesn't sound terrible, but all you people who say that he sounds just as good as he did in his heyday are fooling yourselves. He's very clearly singing in a lower key and not singing the higher notes.
Does it matter??? Not if you are realistic about age, and not if you have immense respect for the artist, and not if it's still a great song, and still sounds really good.
You misunderstand what I say. I am conceding that he still sounds really good. But it's also a true statement that he does not sound as good as he did in his heyday. That's not a lie and not an insult, or is it meant to be. Just because he still sounds really good, does not automatically make it a true statement that he sounds just as good as he did when he was 30.
Sorry - l'm very defensive of us that are ageing. We don't need the obvious pointed out, that parts of us dont operate as well as it did. We just want to celebrate every day we can still participate, esp those that can still do what they know, really well. Esp with a song like this that is vocally demanding.
Most of the original band had left. He had to work with he could get. Don't knock it, they are trying. More than most people would do. Give them all kudos for trying to make the harmonies work as well as they could. Enjoy the song, and remember, time has gone on, from the 80's. We are all getting older.
He needs to bring this down so he can create some variance in the melody. He can't handle it in this key anymore. No biggie, really; just bring it down. He's staying on one note most of the time to make up for the fact that he can't hit the notes like he used to.
Unfortunately they are not capturing the JAZZ influential vocal backgrounds like he had in 78' "HURRY DONT BE LATE" should be GMaj7 - (from the bottom up) B,D,F#,B (on top) Nobody was singing the "B" on top "I CAN HARDLY WAIT" should be Gmin9 - (From the bottom up) D,F,A,C the girl in the black sang the right note.. the F# but she should have gone to F(nat) after.. I apologize for having perfect pitch and criticizing the background vocalists, but the BKground vocals are too important to mess that awesome song up..
I agree Farnham is a great singer, but Glenn has that certain something. I have compared the two on the same LRB songs and I always like Glenn's version best.
Some people are so lucky to be blessed with a voice like that
just like Robbie Dupree
Most unique voice....His voice defined Little River Band. Love him!
Timeless masterpiece!! One of the best written songs of all time by one of best bands of all time.
Glenn WAS Little River Band and my man has still got it.
absolutely!!!
Spot on statement!!
Yes, love it!
😀Glen and the entire band sound spectacular...He looks like he's having fun...
Wow, he still sounds like a studio version of this song, amazing

Still sounds great, considering his age! Love this song :)

the lyrics are devine. I guess Glenn has many memories.

Grande
He still sounds great!
Great song ,great singer
Great voice! Loved him in LRB.
Damn beautiful! Love it!
WHAT A TIME..LOVE IT!!!
WHAT TALENT NEVER OLD REMINDS ME OF THE JERSEY BOYS LEAD SINGER !!!!!
Seen Glen on the "Rock the Boat 3" cruise. He walked out and absolutely smashed it with little effort, a true Aussie Professional
That sax solo is really very good and refreshing for this good old great song
still that great voice

those background singers lol horrible....hell Glenn still sounds good for his age then
BloozeDaddy - too right. Tough song at the best of times. Glenn has paid his dues and still brings it here ...
He still sounds good! Wish all the originals would get together again. I was so bummed when he left the group.
Great music!
Glenn I love you, I always will
"I've always got Little River Band loaded up here. I've got 6 disk in here."
Great great song
I just found out there were two different singers. I saw the other guy. They were both blond, but I noticed something different when I a video on here the other day and someone told me there were two singers. This one I guess left, was replaced, came back? glenn is a fantastic singer, without glenn and the other original guys, LRB is nothing,,,
agreed they suck bigtime without him!!!
Graeham Birtles and Shorock
The three part harmonies of LRB are the best in music hands down.
Loved the 1978 version with high notes also thought john farnham jazzy version brilliant
Great song! Love the dark haired backup singer. A real cutey.
Yeah, she's a looker.
IDOL !
Now, that's LRB.
Amazing Voice,Watch Glenn singing Cool Change.
What is this? The lounge version of this song? Glenn still sounds good but he's Sinatra-ing some of the notes.
In his age, i would rather him Sinatra-ing the high notes than to attempt it and fail miserably.
Actually, the harmonies of the original band were tighter. Loved them earlier, and this song still lives in my heart as one I'll remember.
I don't get the hate, he's not ducking high notes, he hits several of them... he's just making the song a little more laid back. He sounds great. The one thing missing is the vocal harmonies of Birtles and Goble
SUPER CLASE ,SUPER ESTILO,A LO JAMES BOND
Dude sounds like Tony Bennet. . . still got it!
seen little river last night boy missing him as a front man
3:54 Guitar rhythm plus the sax = sexy note trade off
Great vocal
Geez.. he was dialling that in from a different postcode!
mis respetos, aún canta con sentimiento
Glenn was always a really nice guy. Cute and sexy. That sparkle in his eyes.....
This sax solo is a great alternative to Steve Housden's guitar solo. Very nice
Hey grandpa, could you get up her and sing some LRB please?
I want to make understand its about a LIfe time Plan! I believe in YOU!
BlievUCanUwill that is not the lyric
How many of the original members are represented here? Is the Guitarist an original member?
He sounds AWESOME!!! Looks great!
But he looks like someones grandfather... It's really amazing what a good shock of hair does to someone... no matter the age...
Talent is all that matters and Glenn is loaded.
A little older, a little more rasp. Starting to sound like Tony Bennett. Once could do worse at his age. Nice work Glenn/LRB! Thank you.
& the Americans in the fake LRB do indeed sound far worse.
Geez im getting old.. LOL
EL REAL Y VERDADERO LRB
He's like the Frank Sinatra for Australia. :D
Sorry but those back up singers, it hurt to hear this song with them.

Backround Singers Stink!
Glenn sounds fantastic. The background vocals however are horrible.
Agreed, Glen sounds just as good as in his LRB days, but, those backup vocals are just plain bad. Not exactly Birtles and Goble singing harmony lol
After singing with Birtles and Goble all those years I am surprised he would settle for such sub-par backups.
Most of the original band had left. He had to work with he could get. Don't knock it, they are trying. More than most people would do. Give them all kudos for trying to make the harmonies work as well as they could. Enjoy the song, and remember, time has gone on, from the 80's. We are all getting older.
Agreed. The back vocal took all the charm of the music. The audio guy didn't mix the voices right.
Right. That's why the board has a MUTE button.
What happened to that luxurious chest hair I remember from the original 78 vid??!! Hahahahaha Guess it left with the top cover!!
What happened to Hendo's guitar?
So sad. Some performers just don't know when to quit.
He needs to bring this down so he can create some variance in the melody. He can't handle it in this key anymore. No biggie, really; just bring it down. He's staying on one note most of the time to make up for the fact that he can't hit the notes like he used to.
he sounded awesome but his backing vocals failed him lol
Carlos Rastaman no so, they sound fine. Don't whine
Agrees with Carlos
Background vocals have a lot to be desired.
Totally agree with Carlos
He need Beeb Birtles and Graham Gouble
sorry Glen I hate the background vocals where r the guys
Unfortunately they are not capturing the JAZZ influential vocal backgrounds like he had in 78'
"HURRY DONT BE LATE" should be GMaj7 - (from the bottom up) B,D,F#,B (on top) Nobody was singing the "B" on top
"I CAN HARDLY WAIT" should be Gmin9 - (From the bottom up) D,F,A,C
the girl in the black sang the right note.. the F# but she should have gone to F(nat) after..
I apologize for having perfect pitch and criticizing the background vocalists, but the BKground vocals are too important to mess that awesome song up..
John Farnham really outshines glenn
I agree Farnham is a great singer, but Glenn has that certain something. I have compared the two on the same LRB songs and I always like Glenn's version best.
His voice sounds good, but he rearranged the vocal part--no high notes.
Sounds like a Vegas act to me.
Sounds like a younger Tony Bennett, and performs like he is in a piano bar.
man, this cat can sing.
Where’s the high notes? The voice is a body part that doesn’t age well
meat and potatoes time
Those girls.... terrible. I used to love that Band. But now ....
That Asian chick is hot!
Burn the rice, pay the price
Looks as though arthritis has set in ,but hey still singing. great song. the vocal range is stiil fad,I reckon. some things stay. come to Melbourne .
back up singers terrible
You missing men vocalists , those women maybe good for something else ....But Not for Singing......sad
when time takes your hair wear a hat
A little less hair, but still sounds like good ol' Glenn..even at 69!! McCartney doesn't sound half as good.
I prefer this singer much more mellow voice not that screechy voice of farnham.
Without the string arrangement this song loses most of its impact.
The guy is having trouble hitting the notes, he should have dropped the key.
He seems in a hurry to get this over with lol
Reduced lung capacity probably.
@@Resistculturaldecline maybe, he's getting old, but I always LOVED his voice. I loved everything about LRB when I was a teenager in the 70's.
@@lilyrrichard236 Absolutely. He still has the recognizable voice. I'm not criticizing at all, it's just that eventually time always wins
