    You are right, the stories Europe and North America tell about empires doesn't make sense...but people in Asia, Africa and South America are nevertheless still quite familiar with the imperialism!

    Thanks Jeff, I have ordered the book and looking forward to reading it. I’m half way through The Horde by Marie Favereau at the moment and recently watched your interview with her, which is how I came across your channel. Out of interest. Have you read Jonathan Sperber ‘s The Age of Interconnection, a global history of 20thC ? He also examines 1945 - 2000 … thanks interesting channel 👍
