Fortunately there’s no buckle rash on mine and it has the tremolo arm. Legend has it they were sold in Woolworths stores? This setup and demo is excellent, thanks bro. It’s nearer 50 to 55 years old. Pennyroyal Tea sounds great!
Sounds really good, I have a similar instrument, it's a full size but with no name in cherry sunburst. It needs a lot of work but it does have the tremolo intact.
It is a great little guitar, I know Jedson made similar normal scale ones along with other brands, basically they are made at the same factory and the name on the headstock would vary depending on the stockist. Nice yours has the tremolo intact
That model was my very first guitar. Bought in N.Ireland in 1976 or 1977 via the 'club book' (possibly Kays Club Book). I imagine that many thousands were sold in the UK, so the chances that this one was mine is pretty slim..1000/1 in fact LOL. But mine did have the top of the trem broken of (the weld gave way), perhaps a common occurrence. Did it have stickers on it? Yes, 3/4 size and not a terrible starter guitar for a teenager with smaller hands. PS they were $45 pounds sterling (52 easy payment of.. ) and came with a black guitar bag.
Oddly satisfying to watch you setting up the Satellite, peeking at its innards and finally culminating with Pennyroyal Tea. Hopefully if you sell it, it finds a place with a deserving new owner. Since you aim to sell guitars to make money, are there any guitars which you personally own which are not for sale? Just curious.
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the video gives me a nice feeling bringing an old guitar back to life. I have a few people interested in it so it will be going to a good home and get the attention this great guitar deserves. As you can see from the channel I turnover a lot of guitars which is a must to make more videos, as they all come out of my own pocket I have to be ruthless and sell them on. Generally speaking I like Jazzmasters above all guitars so my Squier Deluxe Jazzmaster is my current main stay.
Why don't you just raise the saddle a bit for the action? Thanks for sharing though. What pedals are you using? Sounds awesome. Great guitar. Is it not from around 1965?
Sounds sweet, good work dude!, so the squier bullet surf green arrived today, its a sweet guitar for the money, glad i got one as they are getting harder to track down these days, ive seen a tweed hard case on ebay for £40 which will suit it too
Thanks dude it's a great little 🎸 ah mate nice I love them just a good plain guitar with a lot of character, they will only go up in value I reckon in that colour. Gear4music sell cheap tweed cases if you want a brand new one
@@theguitarmanifesto when it shows up i will try to make a video of how it looks and sounds, must be a way i can send it to ya?, a guy i jam with has a real gibson sg so it wud be interesting to see how it compates with a guitar less than a 10th of the price
maybe you could upload a video to youtube, if you don't want other people seeing the video set it to private, you can then send me a invitation link so I can view it. I'm definitely interested how it feels, plays and sounds
Man, gotta love that guitar. Sounded good for the price. Are you looking to sell it anytime soon? I'm really interested in buying it dude. Great video as usual 😄👍
I had this guitar in 94, I had a hohner arbor series sunburst strat(which I still have!) which was and still is an awesome guitar, but this thing... fucking hell 😫 couldn’t stay in tune to save its life, was AWFUL to play and the body was like it had been miniaturised! And trust me, I don’t give a shit if it was made in the custom shop, it was the worst guitar I’ve ever owned 🤣 I’m afraid to tell you, but I smashed it up playing endless nameless in my first band, so that’s one fond memory I have of it 🤣👍
Yeah i think thats the case ive seen so will prob get myself one of them bad boys, hey have you ever heard of benson guitars?, ive won an sg copy by them, on ebay, b stock (says it has a small cosmetic mark on the side of the neck) brand new with postage for £56, got it for my son but tbh if it looks as good in the flesh as the picture i might want it myself lol
I've had the black fender cases before from them really good quality. Yes Ive seen the Benson guitars on eBay I will get one soon was looking at the semi hollowbody ones, let me know how it is.
Yeah I know that dude, the low s string is quite low but doesn't cause any issues so I left it, the other issue the the first fret on the d string it's pitted
This was my 1st guitar. I miss it so much!!!
The tone is amazing, especially when you consider the price. The perfect guitar for beginners or people on a budget who don’t have much money to spend
Yes I agree has an amazing sound, goes to show you can own an awesome vintage guitar for no money at all.
I own one... Yes indeed, fantastic tone, junk materials, and the rosewood on the fretboard is almost a veneer!. But it sounds great.

This is a cool theme for an addition to the channel. Interesting sounding guitar too.
You know I like to lower the bar on video content 😂😂 it's a great little guitar different from the norm
@@theguitarmanifesto HA dude I actually dig the sound of it and would have picked it up. would sound cool with a slide
yeah would be awesome for slide
Nice job bringing that old guitar back.
Thank you, gives me a nice feeling bringing an old guitar back to life :)

Ah nice they were also sold in Woolworths
The pick up have a clarity about them, also playing better. Noice
They're pretty good old ceramic pickups 👌🎸
VERY COOL GUITAR !! :):)
She is a beaut
Tracked these to mid to late 60s out of South Korea. A quirky talking point guitar but they play well.

great sound dude, its a mix of a univox hi flier with a strat
Yeah I can see that bro, fun little guitar
Very nice sounding beauty! What did you pay for this? Think about buying it myself 'cause I absolutely love Hi-Flier styled Guitars!
I already have a couple of people ask to buy it will keep you updated, she is a beaut
Why don't you just raise the saddle a bit for the action? Thanks for sharing though. What pedals are you using? Sounds awesome. Great guitar. Is it not from around 1965?
It’s a 70s guitar and there are no saddles lol
Hi. What would you compare those unusual pickups to? Are they more P90s or more stratocaster-like, soundwise?

I will sell it I did have someone ask before you but I'll see if he still wants it, I'm looking for £100
The Meat Manifesto Ok, thanks anyway!
Obviously that price includes shipping, I'll keep you updated if you're still interested
The Meat Manifesto I think £100's a fair price so be sure to tell me if he doesn't want it anymore 👍 I really want it Lol :)
The Meat Manifesto Yeah, shipping shouldn't cost too much to were I live but thanks a million!
I really need to get me a satellite, it makes no sense to not have one at this point but not sure which model to go with.
Ahmen, have a look what's on sale local to you first!

👍
I had one,and when you used the tremolo arm it bent and the strings tone didn't move.
Quality guitars 🤣🤣
@@theguitarmanifesto My first electric guitar, £40 brand new in 1982,got it from a shop in Nuneaton which I'm sure is long gone.
Nice, don't make em like that anymore
Nice Axe
It's a fine guitar
Seeing as your obviously a big Nirvana fan, do you think you’d ever do a video on your opinion of Kurt’s so called suicide?
That's probably something I wouldn't make a dedicated video about I'd rather just enjoy the music and the history of Kurt Cobain.
If one string is cut too low then fill it with baking soda and super glue and recut it.

I usually file an old nut and mix the shavings with super glue
@@theguitarmanifesto Other than that she sounds alright !
Yeah I could fix it but for a cheap old guitar I won't bother, but it does sound great
I have this guitar but it's not a nice one like this one
whats the radius on this guitar??
Sorry sold this guitar over a year ago
@@theguitarmanifesto ah , thanks anyways... i mean is a 70s so probably around 9''
Probably would be a 9.5" radius
