There's something to be said about a cool guitar shape like that! That shape needs extra weight near the point on the top. The last 3 or 4 inches hollowed out from underneath and some cast iron or steel put in for balance. The weight change would be minimal, but it could balance the guitar. Fun video, TBG!
I wish I was technical enough to do all of that! Truth be told, despite being a metal guy, I’m not the biggest fan of V guitars. They’re awkward to play while sitting and it changes my technique due to the altered hand positioning. I’m not sure I’ll be playing this one all that often.

mine came dysfuctional. but I replaced the pickups and wiring and put new hardware as well, plays wayy better now
That’s awful to hear. What was dysfunctional about yours?
@@thetattedbaldguy when plugged in there was no sound. But the wiring looked fine. But I had some white Dragonfire powerrail pickups for it. So I replaced that works great now.
Also there's a couple wonky frets at the 7th and 12th fret that buzz a little
Pretty sure they AREN'T microphonic, because they would have squealed like CRAZY at less volume than that distorted! Lol!!!!
I'm so glad that Leo Jaymz have improved their pickups, because I can't crank my USB Flag LP, I can't crank NEAR that loud without a noise gate.
Btw, LJ got busted for false advertising stainless steel on the updated Tempests, so glad they aren't with these.
Dude! They’re totally at fault for the stainless steel frets confusion. I had to edit my video at the last minute because they changed their graphic. It totally said stainless steel on their first advertisement!
I think you’re right, it’s definitely not as bad as the skull LP
How was the setup out of the box? The Double cut I bought from them was horrific. I got it set up and it plays pretty well. But holy shit. The frets were uneven. Intonation wasn't even in the ballpark. Neck had a heavy back bow
That’s really disappointing to hear. I say this all the time, but the QC missteps like that are going to be the downfall of the company. Mine was actually pretty good out of the box, but I’ve already seen others with similar issues. Seems like it’s a luck of the draw
Love the shape. Do know if IYV is the manufacturer? Tempted to ask if they can make me a custom version of this with a see through black cherry finish all the bells and whistles on fireflys lol.
I would imagine if IYV is the manufacturer they were have it listed instead of Leo Jaymz, unless there’s another way I can check for you? I’m not sure if they do custom stuff but I’m sure a manufacturer on eBay that does replica guitars could make you a custom
@@thetattedbaldguy IYV is the manufacturer for allot of these virtual brands. They make the guitars for Firefly, and they also made most of the Harley Bentons a few years ago.
I have the very same guitar also in white. Love it love it love it! The pick ups are working for me. Just fine like they are. It’s recording great and I’ve got a live gig. Coming up with it. Fun fun, fun.
How did the guitar perform at the gig?!

I love this original shape, i just wish it had 22 frets.
Out of curiosity, what’s the difference in feel for a 24 Fret vs 22? Wider frets?

No, unfortunately not. The only basses I’ve seen from Leo Jaymz are the DIY bass kits
