Boruto have like 8 years already the anime ended with 293 episodes.
It's on timeskip in the manga called two blue vortex the n°1 manga on plus.
Boruto story continues the 4th war plot isn't just kaguya but her whole clan The Otsutsuki.
It also have the "Second akatsuki" yes called -kara- but they work different.
Note that the anime stars off slow but it gets good when manga canon starts.
The blue jacket guy is boruto rival.
You could watch the endings to.
It also have a storm game story called narutoxboruto connections.

A few plot holes arise if Kaguya is still sealed.
It's extremely likely that Sasuke just went back and killed her at some point during the timeskip.
Breadcrumbs supporting this are spread throughout. It's the only way it makes sense.
