Julie and her family have been on my mind so much lately. She was the first person I found after I was diagnosed with ILC. I saw her obituary stating she passed away on January 20th. Incredibly sad news.

Hi! I have Verzenio until October but my health was deteriorating and I could barely walk. Excruciating pain and feelings of paralysis. Last week, I was removed from all cancer meds and put on prednisone. Within 24 hours, I felt like I was healed. I’ve been walking, dancing, cleaning, designing and so happy! I’m not sure what the oncologist will do next, but it has been fantastic to experience life again! How are you? Hope things are going well.

Hi Julie, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed. Amen. Wondering if you can talk about how you landed your new look…you look radiant and modern! The hair style (and color?) is very cute on you… how’d you decide on it? I want to do some kind of makeover (hair, glasses) to help me embrace being doing with the big cancer treatments and so help me transition to a new identity. Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words. I dont know exactly how my hair ended up like this exactly. But it was more of a mindset. I grew up during the eighty’s and nineteys and always was a bit of a punk but never really embraced the look because “what would people say”. So when I lost my hair I vowed to myself that I would try out as many short pixie and punk hairstyles for awhile to see how I liked it while it was growing back in. And this particular style I like a lot and so many people compliment me on my hair and style now. I guess I just realized that my life is short and I want to live how I want to. So I wear my hair how I want and don’t apologize or ask permission. And that mindset has changed everything. I feel happier now that I shrugged off the weight of other people expectations of me. And come to find out the real me, the confident me was in there all along! And people love and accept her! You just have to start LIVING for you and the rest will come. OWN every decision you make and dont apologize for your choices to anyone! Life is too short! Please keep me posted on your journey!

I've recently started my own journey re cancer and I'm looking at it as an "interesting adventure" and because of that, my new interest is cooking .... and when I saw your other video, it caught my attention. So I left some questions there. Oh yes, and my other favourite hobby definitely has become "sleeping" ))))) 2. Your story in this video is cool. Well done!!! BUT!!! don't get too comfortable as an "empty nester" ....... because they keep coming back!!!! (wink) I'm pleased to hear your going well, and I hear you regarding injections. Actually, next Wednesday I am going for another one. But this time, I hope that I'm not as disappointed as before. Why disappointed? Because they didn't even give me a candy after the injection )))) But I saw in the fridge, a packet of chuppa chups, so I am hoping that my beautiful wife (also Julie) will bring one along for me ))))) We're also on property ... 970 acres but it isn't much good to grow anything (plant or animal) So we just enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Feeding kookaburras, magpies, butcher birds of a morning and a family of possums in the evening. My chemo was after surgery. Then radiation. Now clinical trial plus Verzenio.

I am doing great and now I’m cancer free. The chemo did it job, there was no cancer found at surgery and I had 15 rounds of radiation too.

We're also on property ... 970 acres but it isn't much good to grow anything (plant or animal) So we just enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Feeding kookaburras, magpies, butcher birds of a morning and a family of possums in the evening. (started with one, but she's soooo frisky)
