Another thing you forgot to mention about the cover is the return of the original Goosebumps logo, used for the original, Series 2000, and Give Yourself Goosebumps series.
Great video review man! I agree that this 1st Goosebumps book from the new house of shivers series is a really good/fantastic read and hopefully the series continues this way with each book that gets released! I'm definitely looking forward to reading then next book and also hearing your thoughts on it as well! God bless!
Thanks, man! Appreciate you for watching! I hope it continues to be this solid in quality, too! #1 was a really good start to what could be a good new series hahah.
@@michaelgoosebumpsfan9934 I was getting ready to give up on Goosebumps after Slappy Beware but I'm very excited that there's more great work from RL STINE yet to come.
Happy to see the original Goosebumps logo is back after 15 years for the longest time I hated the logo we got from 2008, and I really do hope they keep that og logo. But besides that, I hope I can get my hands on it some time in the future as it sounds like a really great read.
i bought this book when it first came out and finally finished it tonight. I agree it was a quick read and the pacing was great. I read 2/3 of it in one night when i got into it. The twists in it were a exhausting for being mostly back to back and i would've liked to know more about the contents of the book. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. Great, fun read and a good book to start the series. I'm super excited to start Goblin Monday.
I hope you dig it as much as most of the community has! I thought it was very surprising and refreshing, after SlappyWorld had kind of burnt me out hahah.
Hey, man, thanks! I still feel like something is missing, there, and I can’t place exactly what it is lol. I like quite a bit of King, and I’ve read most of his books. I’m a way bigger fan of Jonathan Maberry, Stine, and Brian Keene than King, but he’s good sometimes hahah. I’m more nostalgic about King, than anything.
I absolutely agree with everything you said. I gave this book 4⭐ too. I had a great time reading it and my only negative was that we didn't learn more about the contents of the book. Keep up the good work Michael.
I just picked this up the other day at the tucson book festival and was able to get it signed by R.L.Stine himself!!!! Got a classic autographed as well.
I love this book, might not be the best in comparison to the OG62 and S2K books but it's just one modern book that I ate all up compared to other books from Horrorland-Slappyworld books. plus, the book aspect of this just makes me relate to this book, this reminds me of Finders Keepers by Stepehen King, one of my favorite novels by him and this book reminding me of that makes me add more of a good time in here.
Dude, so glad to hear people are finally talking about Finders Keepers-it’s easily the best modern book he’s written, and easily the best of the Bill Hodges Trilogy lol. Absolutely loved that book.
@@michaelgoosebumpsfan9934 oh not yet, I would want them someday as I would love to read the majority of King, tbh, I am mostly a fan of his modern stuff. especially Bag of Bones, since I heard those are in vain of The Shining as I love King's writing of character studies
It always makes me smile when you say “god bless” at the end of your videos. It’s hard to show pride in your faith in this woke world we live in. I’m surprised Biden hasn’t made it illegal to say God Bless yet. I’m sure the dems are working on it. Either way they can’t stop us. God bless you, my friend.
Hey, man, I’m just the type that will take pride in Christ’s sacrifice for me over what people think of me. I get a lot of crap for it, but I’d rather have a spine and stick to my God than bend the knee to people that hate me, you know what I mean? I figure that the dems don’t want to ban the phrase “God bless you”, but they absolutely want to do everything in their power to divert you away from Christ, period. They mainly would like for you to seek wisdom and happiness in yourself, and that’s plain evil, due to human nature hahah. Regardless, I appreciate you. Glad to see more brethren watching the channel. God bless you, dude.
@@michaelgoosebumpsfan9934 God bless! Great to see a like minded person who has pride in who they are. The dems want us to feel ashamed for following Christ. To feel ashamed for being Men and to feel ashamed for being White. There is power in our pride and I’m not ashamed. They want to encourage people to murder their babies with abortions. Definitely takes more courage to stand up for what you believe in. The libtards would try to cancel you just for trying to save a baby’s life. It’s sickening. And they want to throw the one guy who has the power to bring Christ back to America in jail. Can’t get over how sick it makes me feel.
I've been reading/re-reading Goosebumps, and I enjoyed this a lot more than the Slappyworld books. This is a solid book, and I would love to see it adapted into a teleplay.
Quick question: I haven't read many goosebumps books, should I start reading this or should I read previous ones? And previous books are cheap compares to this new one so should I buy this?
Personally, this is one of the better ones in a long, long time hahah. That’s just my opinion, though. It feels more like the originals than the last series, SlappyWorld, did. You’d probably like it, but if you’re new, I’d stick with the older originals you’ve probably heard about in passing, like Night of the Living Dummy and Haunted Mask books. Can’t go wrong with either of those series hahah. Hope that helps, pal!
Thanks for watching, man! Really appreciate it! And, yeah, I was very surprised by how different this one was from what I guess I expected it to be lol

There is another book in the House of Shivers series called Goblin Monday. The cover for it has already been released.
