I remember being in sixth grade and learning about ancient Egypt. I became obsessed with mummies, pyramids and hieroglyphics so yes kids do go through an Egypt phase lol. This book was a fun read and honestly so far I've liked all the mummy books I've read by Rl Stine.
Bahahahaha! Yes! I don't know what it is about that 5th-6th grade time that everyone becomes so fascinated by ancient Egypt! I think I was a 5th grader when I was like: what is this amazing bit of history and mythology???
I have to say I'm quite a fan of the goosebumps mummy books (I love mummies and Egypt in general) even if a lot of the time there isn't actually that much mummy action. I think you're absolutely right about people not knowing what to do with mummies in general though, they're a tricky monster to make feel threatening and an imminent threat
I have loved all of them I've read so far in the Goosebumps series! When there's little mummy action, I feel like the atmosphere more than makes up for it!
This one is all over the place in reception and I'm more in the middle. Gabe sucks through most of it and not much happens in the first half but there is solid horror in the back half. Ahmed is a bit iffy in dis depection but what he does is dark. So it falls in the middle and is the weakest of the first 10 or so books. And yeah not much mummy stuff which is common for Stine lol
Yes! It was the second half that sold me on really liking this one. The middle part just was so run-around and too much time in the hotel room. And yes, compared to the others in the first 10... oh wow this one was definitely weak!
I don't remember a ton about this one as I've only read it once when I was like 10 lol but I do remember that i liked it but it's not the best mummy book from stine that I can guarantee. The best is easily whos your mummy from horrorland, but u recommend reading those in order
