When you cut through thick metal, use cutting fluid. It comes in a spray can. Otherwise you are causing excessive heat and wear on blade.

    • @Gottesacker86
      @Gottesacker86 3 роки тому +25

True, but the fact he was able to do 7 cuts without any sort of cooling assistance is pretty impressive. I’d imagine with it this blade could easily do 3x the amount of cuts.

I was gonna say the same... surprising how much quicker and easier you can cut or drill through metal using some kind of cutting fluid!

I parted out an old wrecked car I used two blades... 1 Milwaukee.... Lasted two cuts through the frame and it was done... Diablo finished the job 30 or forty cuts later..a lot smaller gauge than that heavy Ibeam you cut, that was an impressive test. I also noticed even after 7 cuts the time to cut through was still pretty consistent. I'm sold in Diablo best blades out there.

I have one that I only use on pvc, my reasoning being it will always be as sharp as brand new, always make a nice clean straight cut, and cut fast.
    Absolutely love it.
For everything else I've been using Milwaukee demo blade, and metal blade for certain things.
Love the wrecker blades, they cut wood, pvc, nails, large aluminum wire, hardy board, some metal, quickly and cleanly and last forever.
Even when they start to show wear they're great for cutting stuff with dirt in it or plaster, stuff I don't wanna dull a brand new blade on.

Used three of those blade to remove about 200 feet of 2 inch black gas pipe. Each section cut to 10 footer lengths to get them out of the restaurant basement. And also cut about 60ft of 4 inch cast iron sewer pipe.
It blew our minds how we did all that demo with only three blades.
Spent about 70+bucks for a package. I bought 3 of them thinking i was going to use all three packages.

For low-end jobs and most that require hand tools rather than power tools, my Pittsburgh stuff from HF all work ridiculously well. If I were, say, a pro mechanic, for example, I'd definitely go higher quality, however. For power tools, though, I can't scale back in quality any more, lol. Dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch (especially Diablo and Freud), Makita, Metabo, Lenox - all great companies which keep me from buying cheaper again. Even Irwin, Husky and Kobalt are better choices than, say, Hart, Hyper Tough, and anything from HF (not that Irwin, Husky or Kobalt suck, cuz they don't). Heck, Spyder is better than those, lol. For regular everyday tasks, though, they do at least get the job done, and inexpensively. *shrugs*

Worst job ever on probably few months ago did a demolition job on a garage / kids playroom and they decided to basically use a flat roof and used 1/2 in plywood and half inch of tar for the roof I must have used at least 30 Sawzall blades because they just kept getting all gummed up with tar. Big waste of money even tried soaking the blades and it probably would have been cheaper to rent a excavator but I guess we all learned our lessons. 😎🇺🇸

I bought this 9” Diablo Steel Demon back in Nov ‘21….Used it loads on embeded nails and screws. No sign of wear or performance drop off. Very impressive. Even at £12 GBP in UK for ONE blade it is great value because you can just leave it in the saw and know it will eat anything! Wood, nails, sheet steel, branches, pipework…Literally anything (Not tried it on bricks yet😂). No need to keep half a dozen spares or keep swapping blades out. Caveate…Yes a pruning blade will cut branches faster, but that’s not the point, this blade is a great convenience.

    Time to cut :
    1st 3:05
    2nd 3:12
    3rd 3:26
    4th 3:40
    5th 4:10 (battery died)
    6th 3:38
    7th 3:45
Just Intresting because I always assumed as the blade dulled it might start taking twice as long to cut something...but it seems almost as sharp the entire time.
You should do a part 2 with the same blade 🙂

The real test results were on the counter's display. Started at the low 3 minutes and the last cut was at the high 3 minutes. But your muscle fatigue is a factor too. It would be interesting to continue the cutting at a different time and watch the counter but I'm sure you'll run out of beam before the blade will get dull.

1:53 before go any further, I’m expecting/guessing no “cool” time b/t cuts and so I’m gonna say…..9 cuts till start having “issues”. (Teeth breaking/missing) And not sure if talking about “blade issues” or “operator issues”…b/c cutting a I-Beam like this w/ a recip multiple times….well, let’s just say; Vince gonna wake up 2mro and see a Chiro, get a medical massage, and wish never made this video😅. Joke Vince, k is your tough, that above, would be me after cutting this🤣.
Do agree, back in day; would have been laughed at if tried this with recip and a blade😳, but today, I’M doing the laughing 🤣 b/c the Diablo blades are just THAT GOOD and my go to for all my “bladed” power tools, and that goes for spaddles, hole saw, router, and now even OMT blades baby👍🏻👍🏻
Diablo has us covered for just about any tool and application. Now just need a Diablo partnership for free “blades;bits/etc”……goodbye Norske, and hello Diablo 😉
