A day of moving! A lot is going on today. Get a peak of the potato planter. I move equipment back and forth around the farm today. Also I break out the New skills check list again.
Haha thank you! I have been around the farm for about 6 years. But it wasn’t until the last few year I really started to learn how to farm. I’ll have to talk a little about my past in an up coming video
a "new skills checklist" is a good idea. Another fun video. Your presence on camera is very positive. Your laugh helps set the tone that learning is fun.
I love your happy attitude. It makes your podcast and potato farming an excellent learning experience. Lots of equipment, lots of maintenance, lots of sweet equity and your smile and attitude makes it even more enjoyable.
Great job today but Molly my apologies for yelling at you when you were trying to pull the log off the side of the trailer, all I could see was a broken leg. LOL, Jack, RI, USA
Omg hahah it was not coming off there like that! The chain had it all bound up! But thank you for looking out for me! That day was a learning day for sure!
Assume..you have started potatoes..I'm hoping for next week?? We seem to be getting all the rain this spring..so what you need to do is use 2.5 gal jugs for your oils..much easier to handle an to pour..an you can use an old milk crate to transport them in your truck..o an ya I remember backing up to my Trailer an getting out numerous times to hook up..than I bought a truck with cameras..made my life so much easier..good job molly. Keep up the good work!
Great to see a northeastern American family farm. Amazing to see the teamwork, camaraderie, and “can do” drive, and just found out you guys were married!
Molly, If you were my daughter, i would be very proud. You seem to have confidence, and all of the good qualities which seem to be lacking in America today. You go to work, and get the job done. If you need help, you ask how, and then ... Get the Job done. Someone taught you well, or you must have grown up in a great family where you learned that hard work is the best job. Thank You. !!!!
Wow! Thank you very much! That means so much to me. You know, that is really the best compliment in the world for me, when my father says he proud of me. I was very lucky to have a good upbringing. My father was a very hard working man, and I learned that from him. My sister is also that way. Thank you very much ❤️
Excellent work on learning the new skills, Molly! Thank you for continuing to show and explain more parts of your operation. I enjoy you and Shane and your videos :).
Hi Molly, When you were yanking on the jack stand, my old bones kinda started hurting. Ha😅. The soil there certainly looks nice. Very interesting stuff ,thanks so much for Sharing
Spring farming and planting spuds , one day you are all bundled up and the next in a tee shirt . I used to like to use the 5 gallon jugs with the flexible clear tubing for my oils . No messing with a funnel seemed to be cleaner . Did you work off farm for a number of years before becoming one of the main stays of the farm . Your skill set is doing quite alright in my eyes .
So my farming background starts here at this farm. I worked part time for a number of years, but started full time farming last April. I worked as a dental assistant prior to thats but I have always had many jobs at once and loved doing good old fashioned work.
Wow little girl you are a Jack of all trades. Now if you could teach the younger generation how to work like that the world would be a better place 😅❤.

Molly and Shane! Great video once again! That potato mounder is pretty slick! So, I think you need to name your fields, like Buttercup or Fluffy, Rex, that kinda stuff. “ did you plow fluffy yet? No I just got done plowing Maximillian.” Lol I’m sure you will be tired of the word “ field by the end of all this lol. Thanks for the fun!

A little hint for backing into a trailer if you don't have a backup camera - attach a gopro to your tailgate aimed down at the hitch and connect to it with your phone. You'll be able to see where to go and back right in and adjust without having to get in and out of the cab. Once you get used to doing it, then you won't need the camera anymore...
Hey Molly. I would never recommend attempting to roll a log off of a trailer by pulling it towards you. Very dangerous! Always roll logs off of a trailer bed by standing behind the log on the trailer bed surface. I would suggest getting a short handle cant hook to increase leverage and to roll the log away from you towards the edge of the trailer. Works every time and is much safer.
