I love how Fan Zhendong restrainted his joy for the massive victory against his teammate by cooling down the audiences' cheers and emotions. I LOVE his guestures in the end, which is so caring, mature and heartwarming. That's what we call "style of a great general" in China. He deserved all the compliments! ❤❤💯💯
This match is beyond human level. Hard for clueless people to comprehend. A plastic ball, 2.7gm, shooting somewhere between 50 to 70 k/h with ferocious spins (could top 7000 rpm) and multiple diverse angles just metres apart between them. Those figures have been clocked officially. We play it, adore it and love table tennis, seriously. BTW, Ping Pong is very disrespectful and naive.
Ping pong is now used that way but is actually just as old a name for the game as table tennis, it was just trademarked by the Parker brothers in the early 20th century so it can’t be called that officially
The incredible position play, just to hit and counter-hit the balls with angles and overspin, is true class. A great final with some impressive rallies of pure power. And Fan, just gracious after winning, knowing Wang could have got the better of him had some points gone the other way.
Dua duanya mempunyai tekhnik complit kelas dunia... Yang membedakan adalah ketenangan dan pengalaman... W.Cuqin jelas bisa menjadi pengganti FZD di masa mendatang...
I mean its true if you dont play the game, and the camera angle is bad too. But if you knew what are they doing and how good they are this match is insane. If you are standing there, you probably cant even see the ball moving.
@@dj.carbonzz could be you are right. Though the game since the celluloid era changed a lot, become more techiqaly complicated, but much less spectacular. I think the plastic ball spoiled the game. The only showman of plastic era is Truls Moregard. Any other player of this generation compete almost only in technique and the technique is the same. Yeah, I'm an oldfag.. I miss Werner Schlager with his unsmooth techinque, Joo Sae-Hyuk with the ability to on average play athleticaly a point for 20+ strokes, Kenta Matsudaira with sideblocks, Koki Niwa, Zoran Primorac with his strait forward technique, Rue Seung Min with the ability give such a speed to a celluloid ball, Hi Zhiwen for his exploitation of spin, Jean-Michel Saive, Chen Wexin. Spin doesn't have so much meaning any more, even though it still play a huge role, but now it is part of the stroke and not so much of the game.

So kind to try to temper the crowd when he wins... A true champion.

Did anybody notice that Fan shook hands with the referee twice? 😂😂

Boring to watch... I don't see much of variation of the game from point to point it's the same.
So sad.
Classic no tt player comment
