To this day Im still shocked they bought back people from Sonic the Comic like Nigel Kitching back since the last Sonic thing he did was Exit: Sonic from Sonic the Comic Online
Fun fact, I'm pretty sure sine the city looks abandoned it might be a reference to the sonic ova, in where sonic and tails arrived at what seems to be a ruined and abandoned city seemly either inspired by Tokyo or New York
Another fun fact, the city was NYC, and the planet they were on was originally earth but an unexplained catastrophe in the past happened which created the land of the sky or Sonic’s world in the OVA
I like to think it’s the ruins of station square after perfect chaos destroyed it. I don’t remember it ever showing up again after SA1 and I doubt it could be rebuilt after all that damage.
I'm surprised the fleetway artist and writer were made the combback for the first time in IDW!! Good thing i brought some sonic the comic collection i bought from online and enjoy reading it!!!
The Babylon Rogues have a knack for offending the wrong people; and often, if not always, those people are Sonic and his rather sizable circle of friends.
still find awesome they brought back sonic the comic's writers.(love the ova's reference in pretty much robotropolis/love to see it's characters added maybe on idw's version of little planet with the other media references we've gotten.:3) considering the games usually end with sonic heading for a new adventure/unleashed literally starting at the end of one(do remember when it was thought it happened at chronicles cliffhanger with shade off-screen leaving, that technically could still count.) could totally see the blue blur & friends having tons of mini-adventures off-screen like in sonic channel's stories.
He's not doing sonic the comic review. He try to get one from online, but the price we're too expensive to get one. If you want to review the comic, I would recommend here: youtube.com/@SonicTheComic?si=OOmFh6W73g2KWLVT
But it wasn't sonic'a fault. Kintobor explained to the readers that the chaos emeralds radiation gets so distorted when they come together, that it backlashed onto Sonic and made his Superform insane. I think it was vaguely hinted before that, Sonic used the Super form before, and he was fine. But that was explained, not shown.
The comic wasn't bad. But I have to admit I was getting a little tired of the plot by the time Blaze rolled around. On one hand, I didn't like it as a story. It took too long for a simple plot. On the other hand, I enjoyed that many artists and writers got involved.
In my opinion, 900 takes place after Urban Warfare but before Misadventures, Endless Summer takes place after Misadventures. I really enjoyed this issue and Eggman's segment with the Egg Shogun Z
Hm, interesting Story, i wonder when this is supposed to take place and if it’s Canon? By the way, which Characters from other continuities would you like to see get reintroduced in IDW the most?
900 is such a random number to put this much hype around if I'm being honest, 1000 woulda made more sense AND it should be a Canon Crossover type of adventure. An Enter the Sonic-verse kinda thing. Why celebrate all these advenures if you're not going to include any references to those adventures?
I don't understand, it's still less like Vegeta here. He doesn't act like a complete jerk here, he just doesn't think Sonic is reliable for getting rid of Warp Topaz, and also gave him a chance to give Warp Topaz to him in a good way instead of jumping into a fight. He's still not the same Shadow of 06, but he's going in the right direction, because he's more stoic and less aggressive again.
I disliked this story it brings back a threat that was already dealt with the rest of the cast leave as soon as they appear Shadow is reduced to his flanderized self after being well written in urban warfare and worst of all this is the 900th adventure but nothing special happens there’s no new location or character introduced no massive battle between the hero’s and villains just sonic running around dealing with a gem that should have been destroyed
Trust takes time to rebuild. Shadow lost a lot of trust in him when the Metal Virus hit, and frankly I don't blame him. Even in Urban Warfare, it was Shadow who ultimately got rid of the problem; Sonic just stayed out of his way.

13:21 Am I the only one who thinks Shadow looks like he's wearing the Venom Symbiote here?
Honestly I think the city egg man was practicing his mech on was abandoned. Note the moss everywhere.

Was hoping that the Sonic the Comic artist and writer would be working on the same story together
I'm surprised the fleetway artist and writer were made the combback for the first time in IDW!!

Remind me to never call Shadow a wanna-be I don't want to have the same thing happen to me as what he did to Jet, Wave and Storm.
The Babylon Rogues have a knack for offending the wrong people; and often, if not always, those people are Sonic and his rather sizable circle of friends.
10:39 Let it never be said that the Metal Virus didn't leave its mark on Cream.

Gives the term snowbird a whole new meaning
Will you ever review Fleetway Comics, Sonic the Comic?

Fleetway Sonic was such a dick that his Super Sonic is flat out insane and borders on evil.
But it wasn't sonic'a fault.

Nice 900th anniversary issue.
Too bad the Sonic 900th. Adventure didn't include the return of Sally Acorn's Freedom Fighters for this comic book! ☹
Being a Babylon Rogues fan is rough, dude 😭
21:43 Wave’s face 😂😂😂
"Nine hundred and two-th"? Don't you mean "Nine hundred and second"? :P
The comic wasn't bad. But I have to admit I was getting a little tired of the plot by the time Blaze rolled around.

Hi dude
7:15 NIGEL KITCHING!!! YES!!!

Ah yeah, time to OPEN YOUR HEART, ya’ll.
😂 Nice
Love your channel!!!!
I know it impossible but I would have like of the gem (cant spell it name) sent sonic to the other comic series like fleetway and others
I'm 95% sure the Egg Shogun Z is a Mazinger Z reference.
Why wasn’t Omega with the rest of team dark?

The great eggzinger is an interesting homage.
This was a fun adventure issue
ped_>0
For those who missed it Eggman is a giant Mazinger Z Fan.
13:26 shadow is still the perfect vegita. The even pressed the sonic button.

After the Mr. Tinker fiasco, Shadow regaining Sonic's trust is gonna take time.

I still can't understand why everyone here thinks it's flanderized again. Compared to him from Metal Virus, he is much better.
Trust takes time to rebuild. Shadow lost a lot of trust in him when the Metal Virus hit, and frankly I don't blame him. Even in Urban Warfare, it was Shadow who ultimately got rid of the problem; Sonic just stayed out of his way.
Honestly. 900th issue just shows how bland Sonic IDW is becoming.
