Just like the " all new" 2011 Avalon was the same old Avalon with makeup, waiting for the 2013 Avalon. The same is true with this LS. Its just a place holder til the actual redesign.
2013 was an actual redesign, if you have an 07-12 you would know that it is 😂 the 10-12 models just had makeup. Unless you're talking about them making a completely new car (LS500) 😂
Not my favorite Lexus, but it's pretty cool. Also do people notice Lexus is adding "F-sport" to basically almost everything they make? IS250/350 w/ F-sport(not IS-F), GS350 F-sport, LS460 F-sport, RX350 F-sport, CT200H F-sport...even GX460 F-sport.
The BMW iDrive like system is a mistake. The 04-06 LS was the best gen. They had a sporty and an ultra luxury trim. The new car is too tech intense for the target demographic of older affluent people who did not grow up with smartphones and menus.
While I get this comment was 10 years ago it still aged like milk.. the remote touch interface was and still is hella easy to use because it’s the same as using a computer mouse which I’m sure older people with money from the time this car was new would have used fairly regularly.. it also was a marking point for when Lexus started targeting more than just the cash laden elderly the were also marketing to late 20’s-early 40’s high level executives
As much as I liked this model LS, this was the beginning of the end of the LS' dominance in the segment. The LS460 was on sale well past it's expiry date and the LS500 is the result of falling so far behind and playing catch up, and missing the mark badly.
As true as this sadly is the updated LS won the longevity game both in value over time and mechanical longevity my 2013 LS460 is sitting at 136k on the odometer and runs perfectly and I purchased it at 116k miles for 27k worth every penny
@@MercOne then you didn’t actually read what was said… the LS460 wasn’t ahead of it’s competition back when it was new but as a used car now it is leagues ahead of its German competition in both monitory value and build quality allowing it to still feel relatively new even 10 years later
@@MissingLinkGTRS I read it. That has NOTHING to do with what I said. Did you not understand the original comment? I didn’t say anything about longevity. Read it again.
@@MercOne I’m aware of what you said and it wasn’t contradictory to your comment the statement was a standalone point based off the topic you brought up 🙄
shabby of them, the F-sport comes with awd but these guys are just ignorant which is sad and especially so due to the fact they even showed an awd f-sport.
4.6l and only 386hp? That is really weak for such a big engine. It's also alot to push such a heavy car. Hyundais genesis and eqqus has a 5.0l pushes 429 hp
Late response here but let's just say the LS engine is bulletproof. Engines made to last a long time are intentionally downgraded in power a bit to help with that aspect. Much rather have that setup in a car I'm going to keep for 10 years/20k year usage problem free.
I love the Japanese dedication to refinement, not flash.
Best and most reliable luxury sedan money can buy
ES will be more reliable. Has much fewer components to go wrong.
460 has many problems
New LS looks stunning.
Hey says the Sport only gets rear-wheel drive, but it says "AWD" on the back. What does that mean? "Awesome Wonder Dog"?
*🌌Who’s starting✨to Luv🌅this car in 2019✅*
2021😀😁😉
You said the the "F" Sport version came rear-wheel-drive only, but on the "F" Sport LS that you are reviewing has an AWD badge on the trunk......
Better than the new LS 500
How?
@@bvedant V8 engine. Smoother, better sounding, more reliable
@@little123456788 more reliable? have you read the LS forums? Horrible.
Their extending their typical 5 year model run to like 7. A way to save cost without sacrificing reliability ( hopefully!)
Very elegant.

This is pretty ironic given your current name

congratz!
How much is $67,000 in 2023 money?
about 90,000

Even with such "weak" power for such a big engine it still destroys at highway speeds and most everything else from 0
Please name another NA 4.6l that has over 386hp stock.
Dawg you're way off. 4.6s in the 90s and early 2000s barely hit high 2-300ish hp. 386hp from a 4.6 shocked me. Damn good power for the displacement.
This generation of the LS doesn't look as special, particularly inside, as the earlier ones
Horrible gas mileage and Heavy car, do they expect to sell a lot of F Sports ?
I don’t like. I’ll keep me older LS 430.
Because that's a truck engine....
What?
Your moms a truck engine
Oh good.. I'll rely on some stubs on the taillights for handling (-__-) stupid.
second comment just leave mi name
trying to cope audis fronts i see
Plastic Hideous plastic around the engine
