Having a Precon Tournament can be a blast and a good way to get newer players to try. More of an even playing field than if the first time they play is at a pre-release.
Been looking for something like this. It amazes me that there isnt a tier list that breaks down every precon of all time, so that new players can decide on one with little game knowledge. Ive just been playing all of them on talishar, seeing which I want before my blitz locals lol.
I'm bringing a friend who is new to FaB to the pre-release. If those blitx decks are available I'll definitely offer to buy them one just so they can have a deck for casual UPF fun. :)
That's awesome. From entry-level, I think Olympia might actually be the easiest to pick up. He doesn't have any sessy tricks, but he's pretty straightforward. If they are a gamer from other games, then do Kayo. I think he's the most fun :0) (and best)
Thanks for the heads up! I think I'll steer them towards Olympia, they are a comic nerd who's slowly dipping their toes into TCGs so a simpler deck would be perfect.
SUPER Hyped that the Pre-Cons will be on Sale at the Pre-Release Event! Bit worried that our LGS won't get "enough" of them to satisfy all us Locals tho; I want two myself and our Pre-Release Event has already expanded to need TWO kits (32 Players).
So a water pipe at my LGS burst earlier today but thankfully the owner said none of the product was damaged and we should still be able to have the pre-release next week 😅
They brought the RF Heroes back? Yes! Finally! Do you think they'll make versions of the Heroes that didn't get this treatment, in say Outsiders available somehow ? Great points and will done lss. Also, was awesome that you got two go to the celebration.
The OUT heroes that were new were RF in the pre-release (I think that was the event). I do think the precon is the best vehicle for this, though, going forward.
Greatly appreciate the insightful video! I am an aspiring new player who doesn't own any cards yet. Is there anything outside Heavy Hitters I should be looking for as a good place to start building a collection?
Hi there and welcome! I think if you're starting with HVY, then pick your hero and round stuff out with singles. It's always the cheapest and most effective way. WtR (or history pack 1) has a lot of the fundamentals for the three classes from HVY, as well as Crucible of War. But again, trying to fish those out vs. just buying the cards you want is certianly the more effective way to do it. But if you want to crack packs? WTR, baby!
@@DiceCommando Thats a good question. I only bought the dori vs rhina decks and the Monarch Starter Decks. Maybe i am wrong and i bought by accident the decks with the M. But this is the right direction to give us same funny cards in the precons.
How come Flesh and Blood hasn´t had more growth over the last months? With almost all the other, bigger TCGs suffering from unsatisfied customers due to lackluster decisions and overpriced products, one might assume FaB blowing up harder. It fills a niche, yes. But it also stands for very good gameplay with a great foundation. Hopefully FaB can make major moves in 2024/2025
I think the sets monarch - Tales - Everfest really hurt FABs image and they're just now starting to climb out of the hole that put them in, not to mention the incident with channel fireball and the monarch set really damaging the fab market.
There's a lot of "new sexy" out there right now with One PIece, Lorcana, and pending Star Wars, as well as others like Sorcery and such. Lots of places to look and go, but I'm confident folks will come back to FaB because the base mechanics are just superior.
I like that the hero is rf. I was annoyed when that went away
I’m so stoked you got to go to celebrational, looked like such an awesome time.
Thanks for that! It was definitely a life-memory/achievement for sure.
I can't wait for these to hit the shelves - i really want to get a brick of them myself
Decks look good!
Congratulations on a great performance at the event!!
I hope Mrs Commando had a good time too!
It was!
I really like Victor from a play style pov. He is a shitty person but man I love golden son as a card

I love the one arm flavor with kayo

Are the deck lists posted anywhere yet?
Not yet that I've seen... I'll do my best to get the 3 I don't have and get them up.

We shall see. I have heard they are currently in high demand, so we'll see how long until a restock.

Due to cold/freezing? People been out of power for days around my home.
@@DiceCommandohonestly I’m not sure but it could have been (we hit like -50ish (with wind chill) last week 😂

@@DiceCommando they were cold foil at prerelease if I'm not mistaken (i have a cf uzuri i think was from prerelease)
What's the back of the tips/tricks card? Is it a full art of the hero?
Its an ad for the set

Thank you so much for the kind response!
Is there a majestic in the precon? Or did they cut the majestic for the extended art cards?
no M.
Was there an M in the other precons (aside from dorinthea vs. rhinar)?

I've also been looking around... Did you find anything?
Thx for the video
Any time!
