On October 7th, United Hatzalah's physicians, paramedics, and EMTs came face-to-face with the unimaginable. As first responders to the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza periphery, they witnessed firsthand the many unspeakable scenes of immense casualties and savagery. The sheer volume of wounded and deaths left them shell-shocked, unable to process the atrocities they had witnessed. Many of our volunteers find themselves haunted by nightmares, unable to sleep, and struggling to cope with the vivid memories that refuse to fade.
