Great video, Mr Muscleman! I was especially impressed with Tenebris Somnia. I don't think I've ever seen a game quite like it. Those FMV scenes were damn creepy and well made.
Something that caught my interest regarding Tenebris Somnia was the name: Andrés Borghi who also released a small original fighting game called The Black Heart. It only consists of 6 playable characters and a boss. But it was made from scratch using MUGEN. I haven't bought the Steam version, so I don't know if that still uses MUGEN or a different engine. But either way it's worth checking out.
I hope the Carnival Massacre dev keeps it up. I'd suggest using blend spaces so the transitions from walk to jog aren't as abrupt and blending some lean animations in. Also if the character turns in space have the character make a stepping animation but keep it rooted. The character movements will look 10x better. Also definitely give some randomness to the enemy AI. It looks like they're programmed to go in a direct path to the protag using a navigation mesh. I'd suggest giving the enemies animations where they respond to damage or maneuver themselves in odd ways. Just some things I've done to make my projects look better. If the dev reads this I'd be happy to show them
I'm admittedly not hot on Carnival Massacre. It copies & plagiarizes a lot from the indie game Alisa, particularly with its palette swapped version of the living doll person enemy type & the nearly beat-for-beat recreation of its introductory cutscene. I don't think that's cool. The rest of them are looking pretty neat though.
1st game Butcher's Creek really reminds me of Condemned: Criminal Origins. I would really love if the enemies would hide behind walls and jump out trying to attack you like they did in that game.
That last one, having a FNAF-esque jumpscare instead of seeing the dinosaur attacking is quite a letdown. I hope that's just a placeholder and they intend to have a proper one attacking in the final version
Thanks for playing our game Tenebris Somnia! My previous one , The black Heart, is a fighting game. Hope it doesn't land on the worst fighting game...

Didn't hear it mentioned but Butcher's Creek is by the Dusk dev btw.

lol this went up JUST as I myself finished streaming the demo. It seems simple, but the marriage of live-action and old style is WICKED.
Unknowm Tapes was great, the atmosphere really got to me through the bodycam
Yeaaaah Tenebris Somnia! Glad you liked it Matt
Argentina mentioned 🌞
We need to thank Matt for being so brave for us.
Laying pipe and finding snuff films. Always a classy time with Matt.
Save the Pig: The Game. The whole game you're trying to save the pig's life
Tenebris Somnia looks incredible, I will definitely add it to the wishlist.
I saw the Dino in the thumbnail and thought maybe he'd gotten access to an early Compund Fracture demo. Unfortunately, no such luck.
Andres Borghi (tenebris Somnia) is the goat
The "big ups" for the girl killed by compys in the lost world movie is still making me laugh after a whole day.

Carnival Massacre has big Alisa vibes. I really like where the dev is going with it.
Oh yeah, I saw someone play an older Tenebris demo a while ago, but hadn't kept up with it to know a new demo was out with additional cutscenes.
Just so you know, mate is a caffeine-rich infused herbal drink from Argentina/Uruguay/Paraguay. Which makes it really interesting .
Oh! Super cool! Had no idea.

Was hoping for lesbian pollen in the elevator!!!
Late Homework is out would love to see you play it!

Tenebris Somnia horror posters: Possession, Night of the Living Dead, and...?
Could anybody help me out with the third one? Couldn't make it out.
Tenebris somnia looks so fucking good.
Yo that switch to live action tho
Thank you for this spooktacular spookiest spookfest Matt, us ghouls and goils appreciate you
Oh hell yeah
Okay, why does Carnival Massacre seem like it took assets from ALISA?

This is the first time I’ve ever made a comment like this but damn, I couldn’t resist
Just stay the hell away from dark figures who move and twist, and definitely avoid their eyes.
The Tenebris game got me at goth lady ghost 🫠
