    The original APX is one of my favorites. I have over 2000 rounds through it and it’s been flawless. Who knows how long it will be before we see this new version, but I can’t wait to make a video on it.

    My husband and I picked one up this week. It's a fantastic handgun. It's as good as Beretta say's, the trigger is very smooth with a short reset.
    The only thing I would like to see is a colored follower in the pistol magazine.
    We're going to purchase a second one soon. We cannot say enough good about this handgun.

      Anybody have an idea how it stacks up against an HK VP9SKB? I haven't found a better trigger yet on a striker gun. Love my good triggers, I didn't think a 1911 trigger could be improved upon beyond what a good smith and trigger job could do. Don't own any Berettas yet, but I'm always looking

    I purchased the APX A1 a few weeks ago and purchased the APX A1 tactical yesterday after I saw that Beretta has a $100 rebate offer. I shot both at the range today and I can say that Beretta did a great job. Both are great shooting pistols, they feel great and I love how I could interchange the magazines. I didn't like the all black front sight on the tactical, but I painted a bright yellow dot on it in order to get my eyes on the front sight faster. Get one or both.

    Is a optics plate for the Shield RMSc available for this?

    • @archipelago93
      @archipelago93 Рік тому

      Sadly no. I’ve looked myself lol. They do make one for the APX A1 Carry. Apparently the rationale is that this is the full size version so they assume you only want to run a full size optic (so they have plates for footprints like the Trijicon RMR but not RMSc or Holosun K-series). Bummer because I’d mostly plan to keep a small optic on my EDC gun but also be able to mount it onto the APX A1 sometimes. (And yes, I know I could purchase separate red dots for both but I’m not exactly made out of dough!). Beretta could just make another plate for that footprint, and that footprint is so popular that I’m surprised they haven’t yet.

    • @funkla65
      @funkla65 Місяць тому

      I mounted an RMS2 on an A1, using a slightly modded DPP plate. You need to reduce the diameter of the DPP posts by a few thousandths (I used a needle file), and I remember getting screws from McMaster Carr, so the DPP mounting screws must have different threads, too.

    Beretta APX A1 until you put a few hundred rounds through it isn't easy to feel strip for some people and it doesn't come with any optic adapter plates. Can buy pistols at similar prices that come with optic adapter plates. You use to give a free plate of their choice when people registered their original APX, why did you stop? They aren't that expensive to make, now you charge around $50 per adapter plate. This is why your pistol failed, never mind not offering a lifetime warranty like the other firearm manufactures.

      I think having it come optics ready by default is a game changer (wished it came with suppressor height sights though). The redesign beavertail area that allows you to get a deeper/higher grip with the web of your hands should make a massive difference while shooting/in felt recoil if it's anything like the CZ P10C as well.

      @@paulh6101 doesn't look like 1cm deeper if you compare the photos of the two models. The optic cut was only available for the RDO APXs and those weren't as widely available or as affordable. These come optics ready by default. You also have a new recoil spring. I think it's the Heavy Metallic RSA Guide Rod Assembly that's an upgrade for the APX if you buy the parts online. You also get more checkering on the grip frame and different grip texture. The trigger undercut looks a little deeper, but I'm not too sure without getting my hands on this. The sights are tritium this time around instead of the white dots. New finish too to be more durable. The stupid safety plunger is also removed. I think this is closer to an M&P 2.0 upgrade from the original M&P than a Glock generation upgrade.

      @JacksonWalter735 2 роки тому +4

      @@paulh6101 nah you just sound ignorant. The primary change from the Gen 4 Glock to the Gen 5 was the removal of the finger grooves and the marksman barrel. You can't tell me with a straight face that all the changes the Beretta made to the APX A1 were so minor that they're closer to a Glock generational upgrade compared to something like a M&P. Hell this is probably closer to a Walther PPQ upgrade to the PDP than a Glock Generational upgrade. Even a blind person can probably tell the difference and see the changes while they might not notice changes from one generation of Glock to another. Just because Beretta didn't improved the trigger like you wanted doesn't mean the changes were miniscule. I literally gave you a list of things and your brushed off things such as coming optics ready by default as minor changes. The trigger could also be improved with the Competition Firing Pin Spring Assembly for $25 straight from Beretta's website (used to be $15 before 2022) if you cared that much about the trigger.
