    I've wanted a plasma cutter for years, but couldn't justify the cost. There are a lot more budget-friendly options on the market now and today I'm testing the Vevor VV-PC-CUT50P Non-Touch, Pilot Arc Plasma Cutter. It works on both 110v and 220v outlets, thanks to an included adapter. I did find that the electrodes wear faster when using more amps while cutting thick metal. Luckily they're available on amazon for a decent price: amzn.to/3QsZF9A

    I just found vevor about 4 months ago for my diesel heater. Then bought this plasma cutter. I like most of their items. Most of their great deals are out of stock right now. Anyone know of a good competitor?

    can this be used to cut a 40ft container in 2halves?

      It is good for cutting up to 1/2” thick steel. It would be good for the container.

    Awesome, how large of compressor do you usually need for plasma cutters?

    • @6thGearGarage
      @6thGearGarage  Рік тому +1

      Mine is a 20 gallon, but I'm not sure of the ideal size. I think a smaller compressor would just run more, due to the smaller tank.

      @@6thGearGarage ohh nice I was under impression you needed like a 60 gallon compressor

      Maybe I was thinking of painting a car too? 🤔

      @@JonnyDIY I've painted vehicles with my 20 gallon compressor. The larger tank will keep the compressor from kicking on as often, but for painting or any other took where you need a steady flow of air, it is the output of the compressor that really matters most. This little 20 gallon is a high output, meant for painting.

      @@6thGearGarage ohh wow nice, and is that with an HVLP gun or Siphon? Which compressor is it? I need one but didn't want to get too big, but wanted to paint still

      I'm not sure, as I've never needed it. Some mixture of shielding gas I imagine?

    Will it cut non rusty sections of a 83 yota frame?

    • @6thGearGarage
      @6thGearGarage  Рік тому +1

      Yes it will cut through a frame no problem. I’ve cut through thicker with 120v, I just had to go slow.
