Works so well when all the parts are nice and new, but the reality is everything has rusted up after 10 years of weathering and near impossible to undo. Great video though.
Yep exactly like you start doing the job and just trying to undo a wheel bolt boom nut breaks off 🙈🙈🙈🙈
if you use a heat torch or something similar its not that hard anymore, jut be careful not to melt any rubber parts.@@vijaypatel-si6ig
Like how they dont show that you need to compress these springs to a ridiculous level. Its absolutely terrifying doing these e9x springs .they are about 18" out the box and need to be compressed to about 6"
You Make it look too easy I’d be cussing up a storm. Lol
No danger does anything fall out that easy. So yeah the instructions are bang on! but if you're doing this be prepared for it not going this way.
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your attention to the details. Our experts will look into it. Stay tuned for more videos in the days ahead. Best regards, Autodoc!
Great video, thanks. I have a couple of questions however. Firstly, are these springs the same for all models between 2006 and 2011 (for a normal E90 320d)? And secondly, is there a specific coil direction for the LHS and RHS of the car? I'm a bit confused at the variety of springs available with some parts retailers.
Cheers!
Thank you for the feedback! We are glad that our tutorial was helpful for you. Basically, there is no difference in the springs, they are the same but for exceptions when there are sports suspension on some models of cars. Best Regards, Autodoc

If I change one from spring, do I need to do the other from one as well at the same time?
Thank you for your feedback! You are right, the replacement must be done in pairs. Please feel free to contact our Customer Support Team if you have any other questions. Best Regards, Autodoc Team!
How about torque specs on the bolts and how much the suspension was loaded when tightening the control arms
Thank you for your feedback! You are right, in practice the torque wrench should be used. This video is considered to be an informative one, and it shows the sequence of repairs,so some stages of the repairs might have been excluded.Best regards, Autodoc.
His hands are torque
After everything is done, does the car need to do the wheel alignment service?
Thank you for the feedback! It's absolutely right ,after carrying out of such works it is recommended to do the wheel alignment service.Best regards, Autodoc.
Great vid but please replace the music with talking or something else it's quite annoying. Best videography though, I love the dual angle shots

I find that not having talking makes it easier. I just watched and watched over again whilst doing the job and had no issues. People talking can be really off-putting for me. Brilliant, very helpful video
It's used for many different languages which is why they don't talk and use subtitles
Hi,
Your change of camera position at 9.41 couldn't have been at a worse time. Which way up does the washer go, with the black line up or down?
Thank you for the feedback! The washer you can put in any way. Best regards, Autodoc.
It's possible to fit either way. However there is only one CORRECT way to fit it...
The concave towards the top mount.
Please get a properly trained technician to do these videos.
Strut removal is totally incorrect too...
@Eddie Ronayne just want to know how is the strut removal incorrect in this video please share with us the correct way thanks
I was referring to the concave washer.
However, removing the strut is much easier and faster by dropping down and out under the wing (fender)
oK, I see a lot of videos of ppl dropping the strut down from the top and they have more problems trying to clear the fender to the point where some have used compressors on the spring to get enough clearance. Dropping the linkage from the bottom on many videos that i have seen seems to be the best way I guess it is all a matter of preference.
Yeah nice easy job when all the components nuts bolts are rust free and it's a brand new shock and not one that's been on the car 10 years 🙄
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us.

I have seen a few where some has taken the strut out from the top first and have had problems clearing the fender and I have seen a couple of videos where they take the strut out at the bottom as you did which seems easier do you kno why they would do the top first ? thanks in advance for any help on this.
Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, it is hard to answer your question, there can be many reasons for it. Our videos are informative as to replacement sequence, and it's always up to you how to replace a car part. Best regards, Autodoc.
If you are working with a jack and small axle stands, you can put the Jack under to support the brakes. If you're using a lift and tall stands you don't need to worry about that
Hi, went to take out the T40 torx bit and the 22mm bolt and the torx stripped the threads, nightmare. Can't anyone recommend how to get the nut off as it just spins around
Thank you for your comment.
We recommend you to you squeeze the hinge from below with a jack to fix your finger and then it will be possible to unscrew the nut.
Best Regards,
Autodoc team.
I drilled the nut and used a nut splitter and replaced the track rod end at the same time. Hope you got it sorted in the end
I didn´t see fix the screws with a "nm"....Where is it? Joke movie 😀
Be great with some guidance or advice. Half the tools aren't mentioned and they seem to be the more speciality ones. Thanks for the video but it could have been so much better with talking.
Thank you for your comment.

Maybe if you bought him a torque wrench he'd be a lot happier 🤔

Tight is tight, People should stop being so nazi about torque settings unless it's heads/wheels etc etc/
Nice video bad music
Thank you for the feedback! The sound can be tuned off on the panel below the video. Best regards, Autodoc.
most japanese and volvos are much easier to take the spring out without detaching so much, 2 bolts on the knuckle and it slides right out this poor desing imo
I'd be interested to see any LuK coil springs??

Don t order from them !!! You prove then that they send the wrong parts ane they won t recognize the truth !
They send parts wich they don t fit the car and when you want to send them back they Look for reasons to not get them back . Even if theyr customer serive recomanded the parts !!!!
