Why has it become more complicated to apply for low income jobs than higher paying jobs? Somthing seems off.
I work at Aldi and they pay $17 an hour. $12 an hour is regular. They pay way more than usual “minimum wage” jobs, so that’s why. But I do agree to an extent
@@randomlyaesthetic2349ig it depends on the state you live in because where I live pretty much all fast food and retail pays about 16-17 an hour. Aldi pays 18 which Not that much off a difference and they still act like they paying more. Shi im applying for a job that pays $30 an hour and they don’t even have all this bs it’s just an interview and boom you either get it or not.
Applying for a normal supermarket job in a complicated way is useful sometimes. I think it gives you confidence.

Thank you so much! This was so helpfull! My interview went a little different but beacuse I've worked in a factory before alot of the skills where transferable. @@Ari-sw9ef I passed the interview to the final stage but at the final stage, the Aldi experience at my local store, the manager rejected me because I am a student and thought I could be unreliable. The interview was very easy and casual. tell me about yourself, what do you know about Aldi and what hours are you able to do. So unfortunately didn't get the job as the local store didn't want to hire another uni student.
Aldi wants me to do the video interview, this has helped me with what to say so thanks alot.

@@hassannasir5066 yes they where why do you want to work for aldi. 2 when did you give great customer service. 3rd i think it was something like tell me about yourself. The good thing is you can record the video call and if you make a mistake or do it wrong you can record it again until it sounds right for yourself, so don't worry to much about getting it right fast time..

@@hunterschading4182 I got past the 3 stages, went for a face-to-face interview and stupidly told them I just graduated, and wasn’t successful 😅
@@christina-olivia5655 that's odd as I know they have graduate schemes in stores, so odd they should say no. Make sure to ask for feedback, maybe try Lidl!
@@RupertDavison I think as it was a Stock Assistant role and with the current climate of so many employed, I probably wasn’t the best fit! 💛 I also asked for feedback but was told that as Aldi had so many applicants that they were unable to give any! But thank you anyway, Rupert 🥰
I wanted to ask since last time i tried interviewing it was called group interview, does that mean all the applicants are in one room being asked questions together? Or do they still have to separate you?
I have an aldi experience in 3 days but the role I applied for is store cleaner. Not sure how this is gonna go, my previous job was a cleaner for Morrisons just not sure what experience they can show me lol. Says it's gonna last 30 mins

Done my video interview got my individual assessment next Tuesday 16th feels so late towards Christmas to do this stuff but hey ho. Work at food warehouse (Iceland) ATM so I think my skills have helped them. Only think I'm worried about is the fast pace of it e.g the delivery and scan rate though I'm the fastest scanner at my store. But the pallets and delivery is worrying me

@@Adrian-kj6fn hi, i actually didnt do the assessment, they didnt need me to, they asked me to come in to the interview where they asked me question about me, my plans nothing too formal. But i ended up not taking the job because when they invited me for the experience day i saw just how much manual work goes into this job and i said no thank you

Yes! If you work hard, always take overtime and do a great job then they will likely keep you on. I would speak to the manager and ask once you've done a few shifts

I fell in aldi because there was water on the floor and no signs to indicate this. Ive tried to contact aldi in order to make à claim, but they are uncontactable, the email address doesnt work, and with the téléphone nobody answers ever

Smart shirt, smart black trousers, smart shoes. Iron the clothes to look like you've made a nice effort
Nature provides us with enough food for every living creature on the planet. Farmers and supermarkets have the responsibility of growing, harvesting and distributing it responsibly. Billions of pieces of single-use plastic from each supermarket. Abusive and polluting factory farming. Selling products tested on animals and burning the rainforest for palm oil or soya. Use of sweat-shop factories. Clearly the food industry is not doing its job properly. Governments should legislate on these issues before it is too. Aldi are responsible as one of the UKs largest retailers, and should stop operating its business in such a dark, horrible and destructive manner.
Im sorry what are we meant to do instead lol? We cant exactly return to a mostly agricultural society

Sounds like a bunch of slave drivers, so much for their core values not valuing their workers. The manager gave you some gip? You should not have to tolerate that kind of attitude if you are trying to do your job
