Nintendo have already said that they will continue to support the Nintendo Switch for several years even after its successor is released so this comes to no surprise to me. Maybe they will be cross gen titles as well?
I can't imagine they wouldn't be cross-gen
It's like that with every gaming console from 3very company for the last 40 years....
This kind of support of the current Switch, in the form of legacy ports from yester year; even further confirms backwards compatibility. I also expect mote arcade and retro collections from 3rd parties, like Marvel vs Capcom collection.
Those releases will be on both consoles, no news here.
Eh idk about 3ds titles. The only way to get 3ds emulation on switch to work right now is with overclocking and it still runs pretty meh. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s next gen only
People get so easily confused and become doubtful especially while their hype for something is at an all-time high Nintendo has already confirmed the Switch will continue to get game releases until 2026 and if Switch 2 is backwards compatible then those games would work on it as well I personally believe this leak is about zelda games I think Wind Waker will be mentioned at the June Direct but the other games ( Twilight Princess ) and ( A Link between worlds ) will come later possibly after March 2025
It’s natural progression that they will bring DS & 3DS onto NSO. If so, the Switch2 will need to include hardware features such as mic & cameras. For the dual screen, they will let you attached the new joy-cons to a portrait oriented screen so it will display two screens one on top of another. To put Wii on NSO, they will include a speaker on the new joy-cons. Also, they always include an additional gimmick for each new system, so this time it will be a head strap which you can insert the Switch2 into and turn it into a VR & AR headset - switch from TV to VR! (The Labo VR was a test) That’s why they have reserved Metroid 4 for Switch2 coz a FPS is perfect for VR. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was so good already so they would put the next Mario Kart in VR to create an entirely new game play experience. This is my educated guess based on the business and marketing style of Nintendo.
I have Super Mario 3D Land on the Nintendo 3DS what was my first ever 3DS game what I've got back in the Good old Days of my childhood in christmas 2012 and Super Mario 3D Land was my first game what I've ever git 100%, but in my opinion 3D Land is a perfect for the 3DS and we don't need the Nintendo Switch port of it and about of Mario Party Island Tour on 3DS it was my second played Mario Party game after Mario Party DS, some people hate Island Tour, but because it was my favourite Mario Party game in my childhood I love it. A game what I hope to see coming for Nintendo Switch is Super Mario Galaxy 2: Super Mario Galaxy WAHOO Here we GOO! 😆

They should keep tge original switch around, for minimum a decade. Until 2034 at the very least. Better yet, until 2044. So 20 more years of our tegra x1 lets goo

This is obvious. There is nothing significant about it. This is something I would expect Nintendo to do, not what they might do. This isn't news. Sounds like an article some guy wrote because he didn't have anything else to write about. Anyone can speculate on the obvious. Here's some speculation. The Switch successor will release with at least one major title from the Mario, Zelda, or Kirby franchise. Duh
Yeah I think they learned from the Wii U failure that they need strong titles at launch

Nintendo knows what their doing everyone know this new console should of been released by this year but now they need more time because with the new chips and stuff for the new system and during the COVID times it delayed a lot of time everyone knows Nintendo always bring stuff out around the holidays but again they need more time so yes it will be out by March 2025 but will be revealed before the year is out
