I'm very pleased that I have found your channel. After being a fearful flier since the age of 12 after witnessing a small aircrash, I have only recently began to enjoy flying at the age of 29. I've only managed short flights from my local airport (East Midlands) but after watching your videos, I know that there are adventures waiting for me out there and I shouldn't be so afraid! Will keep watching and one day I may even do this trip!!!
I was absolutely terrified of flying well into my late 30’s…stick with it! I’ve gradually got better and better and now really don’t mind it 😎 Now I fly on my own and have done a fair few really long haul flights…Indonesia being my longest (17 hours).

I live in a boarding school in Adelaide and the birds wake me up every single morning! Hats off to you flying like this, I really enjoyed this video :D
All I can think about is the COST! Crazy man! At least enjoy the area for a bit instead of pretty much just sleeping and then returning! Talk about nightmare levels of jet lag! Then again pilots do this ALL the time so it's not that crazy though they may not end up heading backward but on wards which is harder on the system for some crazy reason.
i've done 14.5 hours from vancouver to new zealand 4 times, on my most recent trip we stopped in fiji, and i sat on the plane for *18 hours* , and you're doing 71 hours in ECONOMY!? mad man
I don’t even know how u did it. I always fly from Los Angeles to Dubai and that’s normally a 16 hour flight and I hate it. Great video tho... It’s always nice to have a breakfast in one county, lunch in another and dinner in a total different country.
Ha my average flight is a bit longer than 8 hours on the Qantas A330. 8 hours is a bit too short as you don't get as much sleep because you have to land.
I just want to say, thank you for doing this trip. I have a bit of flying anxiety (okay, major fear of flying if im honest) and I have a big trip coming up with a 14 hr flight and I've been terrified! This video has given me a little insight and quite a bit of courage! It's very soothing to see the take off, landing, and all the bits in between to help me get a good picture of a long flight and put me at ease which is something all the videos on "fear of flying" just haven't been able to accomplish. Maybe that wasn't your original intent, but I thank you anyway. Cheers!
Don't like flying then that is your body telling you the risk factor. Don't let people make you out as ill. I don't fly anymore, bad crashes still occur ie Max 737 & it's because of the airline industry money men. What happened there was a disgrace & shows the industry for what it is. You are at the mercy instead of control & all this safest form of traveling is apples & oranges, I drive safely & my car is full of safety features, yes a freak thing could occur but I accept these odds as it's on my side, flying no, safety feature a lap belt. How many people in a doomed aircraft would have wished to have stayed on terra firma? My mate flies all over the world & would answer that he wouldn't change anything & good luck & safe flying mate. The CHOICE is yours & don't feel forced either way just weigh everything up for & against. Good luck.
@@anotherthingaboutme No it isn't. If your car breaks down, you can get out and call the AA - If the plane breaks down, you are dead. I know which of the two I regard as being safer.
I was a nervous flyer … still am sometimes. Just took about 8 planes in 2 weeks… 7 of them in 1 week. Big big trip! Then I found your channel after becoming fascinated by planes. Now I find flying fascinating more than scary. And you make that even more so, so thank you!
As someone who is admittedly terrified of flying, I have to say I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy your videos, your enthusiasm for flying, and travel in general. It’s even made me feel almost brave enough to think about setting foot on a plane again, after not doing so for over 6 years. One minor niggle is the (presumably royalty-free) background music you have in the some of the clips - it’s a bit over-used, and at such a volume that it drowns out what you are saying to the camera at some points. I know this is an early video in your series, so maybe you have different approach to the editing these days. Anyway, keep up the good work!
14:54 Fun fact, ATC in Australia assign odd flight levels to Eastbound flights, and even flight levels to Westbound flights. That is why you would have gone to 41,000 ft.
Well, that was insane. Proof that not everything should be done just because you can. I was waiting for you to say your car broke down on the way home! :)
This is an adventure of its own but just think of all the adventures you could take on at each of those destinations! I couldn’t help but going out and doing some exploring.
If you think this is hard as a passenger, think about us the pilots I do this on a regular basis.Flying this long we actually change up crew we have 2 pilots 1 flight engineer and 1 flight captain with breaks between and 1 or 2 days recreatin at the arrival.
Man you are either very brave or very crazy for doing that. I have flown non-stop from Sydney to Dallas, it was about 15 hours and I was ready to jump out of the plane. The key is being able to sleep. Unfortunately I can never sleep more than 20 minutes on a plane!!!
I must have had good luck in May when I went there, landed and took off in sunny skies, the third pilot even told us what we were seeing on approach to 27L.
Would need to sleep 71hrs to recover from the two marathon flights. Fantastic video footage outweighs the low points of your journey of endurance. The Oasis of Doha Hamad International Airport Hotel & Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Centre was a well deserved break for you Noel.
This is so cool! I went Australia last August and I flew Qantas on the way from Melbourne to Sydney, and I loved it! I still have my Qantas headphones from the flight and I use them everyday now! So yea, I got excited when I saw you on Qantas because I had a great experience on Qantas!

not another business class video! true travel enthusiast, natural scientist and road warrior. edit note: having finished watching the video i must note the experiment was slightly compromised by the pampering session at doha facilities
Right here's a simple fix. What you wanna do first is pretend to yawn. Now once you've heard a clicky sound everytime you do this, you'll need to try your best to hold this position. You'll feel a slight vibration in your chin, that's normal. Make sure to hold this position during descent to sort of equalize the pressure in your ear during atmospheric changes. Solution NO2 Create a low bass sound in your ears. Hold until landing. Sorry if you can't do this I can't help
Lily C I did 14 hours to Japan BWI to YYZ was an hour and YYZ to HND which was a few minutes shy of 14 hours that was rough on the way over I had a window and on the way back I had a middle seat

FlyMan I’m pretty sure the body wouldn’t even notice. It would be just like staying up for a whole two days. But no jet lag since you are back to the same time zone without giving your body chance to adjust to a different time zone
@@xsu-is7vq
Hmm... But what about the stay overs?
That's almost as long as muh d|ck
Melb to London and back is bad enough. But I love it.
Living in Melbourne Australia if I want to go anywhere it’s pretty much always going to be a 10-15 hour flight, us aussies are accustomed to these conditions hahaha
Same from Argentina, it’s 10/12 hours to USA, 12/14 hours to Europe, 14 hours to Australia/NZ and 24 hours to China/Japan/ Korea
I’ve gradually got better and better and now really don’t mind it 😎
Now I fly on my own and have done a fair few really long haul flights…Indonesia being my longest (17 hours).
@@MamaLinz123 thanks for the response! Thanks to watching Noel's videos, I ended up taking my first flight alone to Prague in 2019. Haven't stepped on a plane since due to the pandemic but making plans for my next adventure!

i took a 15 hour flight from Qatar to new York non stop in the 350-900 and even though the airline is the best in the world it was the worst day of mylife
Can you zoom in a bit more on your face I couldn’t see you?
Lovely that you want to see my beautiful face in such high definition, I will try to get a better zoom next time :)

Me: "I am about to go on the longest flight in the world, I hope it a very peaceful flight And enjoyable"
Baby: "hold my beer"
Yup, as much as the airlines do everything possible to make it a comfortable flight - there is still the issue of other passengers to deal with!
Young children on long haul are the worst.
Also bad parents who just let them scream: Hold my beer
@@radoaron8324 they can't tape there mouth
@@radoaron8324 some parents do their best, never call a parent “bad” unless your 100% sure, it can really hurt someone’s feelings. I see that my mum tries to do everything for my new baby sister, she’s raised me, my sister, and I’m hoping this new sister very well, if your gonna go ahead and say that, maybe your parents are bad and your just being a bit immature. you were probably I crying baby once.

A Chair nah, they're not too bad... I was at a boarding school in the UK from age 7-18. Still a relatively normal and stable human 😂
Crazy to think that you actually did this. Huge respect! Your videos are simply awesome! =D
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!

@@noelphilips I’m blaming 7 hours is the longest from Manchester 🇬🇧 to Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪 😅
Just become a commercial jet pilot and if you get bored just squawk 7500 and start an air show 36,000 - 40,000 feet in the air.
Do not actually do this it’s just a joke bro even there’s no (gone wrong) in the comment

I LOVE the view of the aircraft from the ground combined with your view from the aircraft during takeoff!

I don’t even know how u did it. I always fly from Los Angeles to Dubai and that’s normally a 16 hour flight and I hate it. Great video tho... It’s always nice to have a breakfast in one county, lunch in another and dinner in a total different country.

I can’t handle 2 hours without wanting to scream
Ha my average flight is a bit longer than 8 hours on the Qantas A330. 8 hours is a bit too short as you don't get as much sleep because you have to land.
And I thought a screaming, winging child on a 7 hour flight from Manchester to Toronto was bad...😳. Air Canada Rouge 👎
amateur
You're crazy dood.
This must have been absolute murder on the legs and feet...
Good luck.
@@seltaeb3302 it is safer to be in a plane than in a car. Can’t live life in fear or you won’t do anything in life
How was your trip??
If you fly as often and as far as Noel, you will probably be too bored to be scared of flying 😂

Glad this came up on my recommended
I agree the music level is way too high.
14:54 Fun fact, ATC in Australia assign odd flight levels to Eastbound flights, and even flight levels to Westbound flights. That is why you would have gone to 41,000 ft.
That's a worldwide policy and not specific to Australia.
I can just about sit in a car for 1 hour
Lol . Sammmmeee
Well, that was insane. Proof that not everything should be done just because you can. I was waiting for you to say your car broke down on the way home! :)
By the way, how much did this cost and how many airlines did you earn?
Noel has really come a long way (literally in this video) and his video's in general.
Agreed,he looked weird with hair!! And the quality now is so much more professional...

The craziest flight I have ever been on was a c-17 from Kuwait to northern Syria and we did a combat landing on a dirt runway.

Yeah, but the flight crews on the newer planes have Sleeping pods😏

Man you are either very brave or very crazy for doing that. I have flown non-stop from Sydney to Dallas, it was about 15 hours and I was ready to jump out of the plane. The key is being able to sleep. Unfortunately I can never sleep more than 20 minutes on a plane!!!

The music covers your voice..delay the music a little bit more
Why are so many videos rotten with music ? Why do all these posters music ins mandatory on anything and everything ?

You know that feeling when youre about to land and your ears hurt like crazy
KingAshwin Gaming Normally It’s really mild for me, except for one time when I was really sick. Just thinking about it is making me cringe.
Solution NO2
Create a low bass sound in your ears. Hold until landing. Sorry if you can't do this I can't help
I put my earbuds in. No pain.
