If you’re looking for specialist and rare 80s and 90s cars, you could do a lot worse than visit Wizard Sports & Classics near Manchester in the UK.
This hidden car dealing gem often has some of the best examples of classic cars like the Renault Clio Williams, Subaru Impreza, Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, Lexus LS400, Volvo 240s, and a wider selection of even more obscure 80s and 90s classic cars.
When was the last time you saw a Citroen AX GT in the flesh, for example? Or a BMW M-Roadster, Honda Insight, Ford XR3i or Jeep Cherokee Orvis?
Whilst searching for cars for TheCarGuys garage, we often come across Wizard Sports & Classics, and so this week, we fire up the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and go on a northern road trip to meet owner, Richard, and have a full tour of his current collection.

Honda lost 65x CRX and 6x Del Sol to the scrappage scheme. Out of 10,370 total Honda cars scrapped, most were Civics and Accords, however Lexus lost 96x LS400 and 79x GS300 and a few Soarers!

That CRX is 1988 or 1989 (Front blinkers are orange & rear tail lights are 1st gen. ED9)… for sure no 1990, that’s gen. 2 ED9.
Remember some markets are at least a year behind others. And in the UK, there are sometimes end of line cars that remain unsold for quite some time, even several years, and they are legally the year they were first registered.
