Check out Crack Cloud from Vancouver and also Marbled Eye from Oakland, could see them all touring together...maybe throw in Diät from Berlin to round it out
the guitar plays rhythmically while the bass melodically and harmonically hits every note inside the chord the guitar is playing. A lovely element of Joy Division and New Order, Smiths, jangle pop and lots of emo
When so many singers are trying to beat you over the head with the depths of their emotions, it's refreshing to hear someone who'd rather express ennui.
I think of this work as a random collection of phrases overheard and some pithy comments, all wrapped in a musical blanket that is sometimes at odds with the emotional mood, sometimes not. Is it poetry? I just love it, all of it.
The Dry Cleaning sound hasn't stopped growing on me in months! First listening to one song over and over and then expanding to two, then three, my love for you just hasn't stopped growing, so unique and delicious!
Song as story. Like any one worth its salt, whenever I get to the end of it, I'm spent. In a really good way. Can't remember the last time I was this excited for a debut album release.
They are aren't they, I just found them today pretty delighted tbh & her Vocal delivery reminded me of someone really was bugging me until now "Life Without Buildings"
" A Direct Musical Assault On The Ears " From One Of The Most " Cerebral " And " Dynamic" Bands 2 Have Emerged In Recent Times !! I Would " Happily " Pay 4 This " Particular " Dry Cleaning " Bill !!! From Adrian Browne 1965
When I heard SxSw was cancelled first I thought was what a bummer for Dry Cleaning as they wouldn’t make their debut in the US. We need good music like this to offset all the bullshit going on currently.
@@jiggersotoole7823 yeah okay pal, maybe you're just being lazy by saying that. Have you ever heard of Bambara,Wovenhand,Mark Lanegan,Metz,Chat Pile,Easy Action, and I could go on for days. All these bands have new music from the past year. But there's many more. I think the UK is on fire with hot new bands like Drycleaning,Idles,Viagra Boys,Porridge Radio, and so many more too. I just think your comment is wrong. That's all. Music is thriving every where,if you actually search it out.
@@PALEFACERUDY "music is thriving everywhere " is it? Maybe it is , but you say that like it's a good thing. Music today is just another adjunct of soft power economics , which would be fine if we weren't destroying the natural world in the process. So that makes me ask what the purpose of music is. Today it is basically petit bourgeoisie opium for the masses. And like I say , look what the masses are doing. I don't care what those bands sound like I've heard it all before. I want to see a counter culture revolution in music. Now that would be good.
This song really reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend before he died, unless he just "flew over there". I asked him to describe his ex-girlfriend before asking him if he still loved her. Unfortunately he got a chest infection from me. 💔
Fantastic band. I'm not just saying this because I have to, I can back it up with facts and relevant information.
😂👌
I love the fact that at age 56 I can still get excited by new bands. Thank you Dry Cleaning.
I’m fifty eight, I also love these guys too, also try Black Midi

Sometimes we GenXers are thrown a juicy bone
I'm a huge fan now. Love it all. Guitarist is a Johnny Marr level genius.
Yep, rhythmic, melodic, all at the same time. Awesome.
YES! This has been on the tip of my tongue for so long, totally see the similarities
He is superb

As a guitar player I was instantly in love with his playing
I’m a black 48 year old man and I’ll be the first to say that I love this song ❤
Glad I found this band 👌🏾💯

Ennui, you say.
Here, grab your Ennui. It’s hanging down here
Malaise, even.
Zone bullseye
Yes! And I'll bet they turn up their collars to fend off the chill, existential wind. Bravo!
dry cleaning were in my dreams last night, the band not the act of dry cleaning itself
this song makes me really happy because my name is Moe and hearing someone say "dearest Moe" feels really nice
My dearest Moe, I love you.
i love you too, robert! ❤
This is the best brand I've heard from England in a long long time. So good.
My favourite song of theirs by far. That indescribable feeling that only the best art gives you.
From their second EP
I think of this work as a random collection of phrases overheard and some pithy comments, all wrapped in a musical blanket that is sometimes at odds with the emotional mood, sometimes not. Is it poetry? I just love it, all of it.
Their 2 complete albums are top to bottom excellent, as are their two EPs. Exceptional work all around. Cannot wait to see them in 48 hours in SF....
I'm definitely in team 'Get it'. The Riffs are great and I love the whole concept of not having to sing to be musically creative.
The Dry Cleaning sound hasn't stopped growing on me in months! First listening to one song over and over and then expanding to two, then three, my love for you just hasn't stopped growing, so unique and delicious!
I'm having the same experience now. It's refreshing.
Just stumbled across them today. Love it.
when she says "Still works" it sounds like a character in a 90s adventure game inspecting a useable object
so many feels in this comment
i love this comment

i really think Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks EP is their best work.
six fantastic songs.
Finally! New music worth listening to
Yet hardly anybody seems to do so.
Beautifully matching mismatch of music & video, kinda reminds me of Old Grey Whistle Test film segments (ageing myself there....) brilliant !!!

68majortom life without buildings are great. Love dry cleaning too. Cocteau Twins vocals has more singing but equally as enjoyable.
So magnificent. What a lovely band
Its almost French. If they knew what pop music was
Vid reminds me of KOL Rodeo. So pleased I discovered DC this summer.

I was ironically just talking about how thE setting looks like a venue on east 6th ATX
Yea I know what you mean. American music is shit these days.

This is turning out to be one incredible band!
Bought tickets for Paradiso Amsterdam - hope to see you in 2022!
Both the song and the video are brilliant. It's shit like this that gives me hope for mankind.

Please can I buy a Cactus Club T-Shirt?
Unfortunately our T-shirts are now sold out and our supplier can't provide same quality.

LOVE IT. YES. THANK YOU 💙
Can’t wait for their Christmas release, “ Pigs in blankets”. Let’s wait for the geophys.

Brilliant
Thanks Brett Anderson
Yes, mainly middle-aged Guardian readers here.

The new Niko
Would be even better if these people in the video WERE the band. All of them
Doing everything right.

Sonic Youth's vibes here
